The Birdcage in Wiltshire

The fairest thing I can say about the food in this place is that it's ok. The staff were helpful enough and polite. I'm not really sure I get all the old garden ornaments everywhere, although I did have fun seeing if the jardaneir was going to fall everytime the waitress passed it. Any how on to the food. It wasn't the best pizza and by no means the worse. It was a very well made think dough, and a very good quality mozzarella. However my disappointment came with the tomato sauce, it was fairly tasteless. I had to add Tabasco to get some flavour from it. Secondly, the new cross pizza was listed as four cheeses. Well it has mozzarella and a pitiful amount of mascarpone and the Parmesan was like tracing paper. I feel that paying the extra was a complete rip off. I wish I saved the £4 and just got a margherita as the amount of cheese it came with certainly did not match the price. My last complaint is one I have a out many places - please stop letting dogs in your restaurant. I don't want a hairy panting stinky dog next to me as I eat.

Awful behaviour from a member of staff tonight. Girl with black top and jeans. Aggressive, intimidating. I really hope you sort out your customer service as we love the venue. The whole family were speechless when you were pointing at my mums dish. She genuinely didn't see one of the ingredients but you made it very awkward and personal when you spoke to us like some rude excuse of a human. Hope we don't see you again. Please ensure the knives and forks are on the table, proper knives to cut and also the 3 out of the 4 rollers didn't cut. We didn't dare talk as you were so nasty. You have a very hostile stare.

A unique and fun restaurant and the food was extraordinarily tasty! Pizza and pasta was so obviously prepared with very fresh ingredients which made them meals showcasing distinct flavours yet brought together exquisitely!

Slow service. 2 tasteless pizzas and 2 cokes for £42.00. Tomato base over salted, Pizza base underdone. In an empty restaurant section, staff sat a table of 5 literally on top of us. Won’t be going there again.
