DO NOT RECOMMEND! We unfortunately all became VERY unwell after eating a Sunday lunch here.
We all came from different areas to meet at a local pub to eat. Unfortunately after consuming the food we all became very unwell including Vomiting as a result of food poisoning. The pub has handled our case extremely badly and has taken well over 2 months to contact us. Would not recommend eating here unless you would like to become ill.
Hidden gem. Absolutely Delicious food at a reasonable price. Good, friendly service. Quite good value. Paid about £22 per head. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options and the vege options were cheaper than the meat. Generous portions. Will definitely return.
What an absolute gem of a restaurant.
The staff are friendly and efficient.
Food was really tasty and good size portions.
The service was spot on.
We will definitely be back again soon.
Thankyou 😀
The reviews suggested trying Sri Lanken options...the options were limited but I can definitely recommend. King Prawn & Cashew nut, garlic flat bread & rice was very tasty and the rice cooked perfectly. I was very disappointed to see this great historic venue was not better supported. I had a chat and they're looking to go fully Asian on the menu. I'm sure that will be very successful as Malmesbury is already good for Italian restaurants.
coffee was nothing special and the hot cross buns were a little dry but maybe we came on an off day.
i had a roasted vegetable and butterbean hummus panini and it was amazing! the bread was especially good - so crispy and fresh.
my mum had a cheese, tomato and chutney sandwich and absolutely loved it too.
We stopped over in this area to break up a journey to Bude.
Decided to have dinner in this pub.
Really warm welcome from the lady behind the bar and when her colleague took over she was just as friendly.
The food was fantastic, I had the cod and chips which was cooked to perfection and my husband had the burger which he really enjoyed.
Would recommend this place 💯.
Having worked here to capture a wedding and having eaten here also, I can confirm that it really is a lovely place. Whether you're hosting your celebrations or just heading out for some amazing food - PKG get it right every time. Their ethos and their attitude radiates positivity and quality, while the atmosphere within the restaurant (or outside on a sunny day) is so welcoming. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
I look forward to returning!!

Curried Bratwurst and chips, superb as an alternative Sunday lunch. Coffee will wake the dead, superb.
An eclectic mix of souls visit as its very central.
