Lovely place for a brunch or catch up over coffee. The paninis are tasty and so is the full English. You have to go up to order but they get the food at pretty quickly

Called in this morning my myself my wife and one of my children sat on the first floor nice view over the market place, Myself and my wife went for the large breakfast yes I knwo its Good Friday but were both heathens, The breakfast on the whole was really good what let it down was the quality of the sausages, they had a very strange consistency as if they were full of gristle my wife left 1 and a half of her 2 sausages. I did say we'd take them home for the dog. She said the dog wouldnt even eat them. To be honest the breakfast would be better served if the sausages were not on the plate

Our second visit was as good as our first. Good prices, great food and friendly service. The ambience is similar to the lounge but more quirky, bespoke and less formulaic. It's definitely our favourite place to eat in Devizes. Well done Society staff 👍🙏

Wow !!! Well we returned to the New Society on Sunday and as always we were greeted by friendly smiling staff. We sat upstairs next to a window overlooking the square. Placing the food order I took a look at all the wonderful cakes and ordered them to. Drinks arrived followed by our meal. All three meals looked wonderful and tasted even better. My wife had the Goat cheese salad, my mother-in-law had Butter milk Chicken and I as always had the Ham egg and chips. All meals very tasty and very reasonably priced. When ever we get to Devizes I make a beeline for the New Society and recommend you try it out for yourself. Can't praise it enough.

Always great food and good value for money, speedily served by friendly people. Brilliant range of menu options. Only criticism is that it's quite often booked up! There are lots of tables though so it's always worth trying. Nice atmosphere in an old building, could do with a little maintenance here and there though.

It was my first time in UK. A lot of people Talking me that in this local I will buy very good English breakast. It was true! I ate three times breafast and perfect Coffe. Really grate place with very very nice people. I hope i will back here in Next yer 🥰

I was travelling through Devizes while on business and came across this restaurant, I noticed how extremely busy it was considering it was a Monday afternoon. I went in but saw it was very full, I turned to leave but then the manageress (Rebecca I later found out) stopped me and said that she could sort something out for me. I was seated at a large table where on 2 people were sat after being asked if I could join them. I went to the bar and ordered a drink and some food which came very quickly considering how busy it was. The food was excellent to say the least. The other thing that struck me was how the staff made time to talk to the other patrons and yet still manage to take people's orders and serve them. Rebecca was very personable and also very knowledgeable about Devizes which helped me a great deal as I was actually looking at properties in the area. Overall a great experience and I will definitely make this one of my regular places to visit. A huge thank you to all the staff and keep up the great work Rebecca

This is one of my favourite locations whether for breakfast, lunch or dinner or jusg a straight up oat milk latte with my mum. The food is very reasonably priced, decent portions and always delivered with a smile and genuine warmth and sincerity from the staff. I went there for a Christmas meal and was astounded by how good the food was. The beef stew was utterly DELICIOUS with an abundance of trimmings (which got taken home so nothing wasted). The staff are also genuinely brilliant. Upon a solo coffee trip as a desperate attempt to cheer myself up, every single staff member too time out of their day to offer me support and kindness. I was very touched by their generosity and compassion. I feel New Society is in manner ways, a second home. The welcome is always warm and the food is always hot. They also have the extta benefit of an outside seating area for during the summer. In short New Society is by far, one if the best gems in Devizes.

Just had a birthday coffee and cake at the New Society for 8. Cakes were amazing the service very good. This place buzzes when open -7 days a week for breakfast and lunch good choices on the breakfast menu. Good portions and seems to fill the hungriest! Great place too!

There are many eateries in Devizes to choose from, but we always decide on New Society when wanting some lunch. The restaurant overlooks the lovely Market Place and has pavement tables outside which are always in demand when the weather is kind. The atmosphere in the restaurant is always superb with customers either there for a quick coffee, cake and catchup with friends or for a decent lunch. The menu is varied and, of note, are the paninis and the incredible omelettes - I don't need to eat for several hours after eating one! The service is always fast and the staff, most of whom have been employed for a long time, are attentive and polite and are overseen by a clearly experienced manager. Importantly for me, this is an independent business and not part of a national chain, and I am always keen to support local businesses and I recommend you do the same!

Fantastic! I took my work colleagues here this morning for a meeting. As soon as we walked in Becca made us feel very welcome. All 5 of us had a fantastic breakfast. The service was great with such polite and attentive staff. I could not fault a thing and neither could my work colleagues. The place was buzzing with people eating and chatting. Such a great atmosphere. We will definitely come back. Thank you New society it was excellent. We will see you very soon.

I come to this cafe regularly, every other Sunday, knowing I can usually get served if I get there before 3.30pm, I turned up at 3.25 and was told no to food as the kitchen has been closed. I asked why, the blond woman said it had not been busy. As a business owner, I always attend and go the extra mile for my regulars, as they are the people that keep your business going. It’s obvious when someone is lazy and can’t be bothered, I would have been happy with a sandwich but wasn’t given any option at all. It’s short sighted to turn down money if you want employment. Stopped by for lunch with family. Really pleasant decor and repurposed furniture - our table was an old sewing table! Service was super friendly (and quick). Food was excellent and very decent portions. We had sandwiches, panini, soup and the kids burger. All top notch. Good value too.

Random choice when visiting Quakers Walk parkrun, and the 4 of us were very satisfied by the lovely vegetarian breakfasts and omelette. Great value, friendly service. If you walk in and it looks a tad busy, bear in mind they have at least two more rooms upstairs. Clean and comfortable. Thanks for looking after us. We were even provided a box to allow one of us to take part of their meal away as it was such a generous portion.

Impulsive visit for tea and cake! Massive slice and great selection of teas. Menus a bit too well thumbed 🙃 but lots of choice for hot or cold lunch.

Went for a breakfast with family when we stayed locally. Food was great with helpful staff who could adapt the menu for fussy children. Lots of space so you do not feel crushed in despite it being busy.

Still probably the best cafe / restaurant in Devizes!

Still great food but really needs a deep clean and some cosmetic maintenance. The floors are dirty, particularly around edges and furniture, tables are really sticky and there was a fly collection on the windowsills that was weeks if not months old. Shame because the food is still good, but lack of cleaning in the customer space is worrying.

I use the Café as a work spot on a daily basis. The owner, All of the ladies (and Noah) are Brilliant. Always a happy experience. Food and drinks are fantastic. Great ambience, great location, great food and great people, what else could you want. Remember, you might want to book during the busy seasons. Honestly, this café is worth a visit any time of the year.

After visiting a few times in the past it was very good. However today the pancakes and the sausage were burnt. Might just be a once off but if it happens again we won't return

A really nice breakfast with good quality ingredients and priced fair at under £10 Tables and chairs made from old sowing equipment gave it a nice quirky feel too whilst not being gimmicky.

Nice choice of meals. I had a panini which was filling and a tuna sandwich was also bought. The salad that came with it was a nice amount. The bacon they use in the panini is good back back, not the streaky bacon that is more fat than meat. The food is very good quality.

Cleanliness is a little lacking...sticky tables, splattered menus and cracked/stained crockery. Food is ok, a little bland. Service was ok, but we never did get our table wiped!

It was nice would go there again . We had sandwiches and chips with side salad , freshly made and reasonably priced . Order and pay at the counter , CASH ONLY . Then its waitress service from there , our waitress was lovely . Unfortunately for us a large family with children turned up and took the central table in the small room , I was getting my chair knocked every time the woman got up (frequently) , and it just got too noisy with the kids and chairs being scraped on the wooden floors . *obvs no reflection on the coffee shop , just a people in general rant 🤷🏼‍♀️ * So we went and finished our (very nice) coffee outside at the tables out on the street .

Dinner at New Society, I prebooked for my wife at me to eat here on a sunny Saturday night. The food was great, the service was very good and we enjoyed a few dishes from the tapas menu and a main menu plus yes desert. The good thing about this place is that gluten free is clearly marked and the choices is wide enough to get me salavating. When I recieved the first dish chili nachos, it was made with proper beef, this is impressive! Thank you everyone at NS great meal and great service.

Always had great service great food and a great atmosphere. The review that was left a week ago I find incredible as I was there at the same time . The arrival time that was stated as 11.50 was more like 11.40 for the booking at 12.00 to which the managers response was nothing more than a passing comment of surprise at how early it was and in no way Surley !! Also the place was full with no spare tables and the elderly ladies were happy to move as they had been informed prior to your arrival that it was reserved The headline in the review I feel is a personal attack on the manager who acted professionally and courteously the whole time and the restaurant benefits because of her . It does not however benefit from inaccurate reviews

The best traditional English breakfast in Wiltshire. Fresh, local produce and excellent value for money. Also served by the friendly, cheerful and courteous crew managed by the wonder, cannot do enough for you Becca. For a friendly coffee with friends, breakfast or lunch with the family in comfortable surroundings, this is place to go. Booking advised. It’s so good it’s always popular.

We had a table booked for four at 12 noon and arrived at 11/50 to be immediately told in a surly way by the manager ‘your early ‘ who then proceeded to clear the table and tell the elderly ladies who were sat at it...

Stopped off in Devizes for lunch, this cafe was busy but we were able to get a table. I had the Buddha bowl, it was never ending, absolutely delicious and served very quickly. Highly recommended 👌

Always a pleasure to come in here it's everything you would like it be, I can't really recommend anything specific as everyone's tastes and dietary needs are different but I think they cater for most and what I had we had was lovely.

tonnes and i mean tonnes of spaces on many floors and outdoors.... this place is huge. Prices are medium to expensive but serving the higher bracket clientele. Loads of quirky art all over the place.
