Another excellent lunch in Henderson’s. We visit very time we go to Salisbury and lunchtime visits are a special occasion. Service is friendly and efficient , even when they are very busy. This visit my wife had the tomato, mozzarella and pesto panini which was fresh, with a generous tasty filling and accompanied by a light side salad, also fresh and delicious. I went for my staple bacon, Brie and cranberry sandwich on sourdough. The sandwich is packed with great bacon cooked just as I like it and there is lots of Brie and cranberry, also with a side salad. If you are looking for fantastic fresh sandwiches, made to order, then treat yourself to a trip to Henderson’s.

First visit to Henderson’s and it certainly won’t be our last. I had a butterbean hummus and chargrilled vegetable sandwich and my hubby had a BLT. The bread was gorgeous and the sandwiches were huge! Lovely, friendly staff. Enjoyed sitting outside and watching life go by on the market square. Sadly, we were too full after our sandwich to try a sausage roll!

This very popular artisan baker and cafe is one of Salisbury’s gems. We always stop here from coffee when we are in Salisbury. It is great coffee (often accompanied by delicious fresh pastries, savouries or toast - from their own freshly baked bread). Occasionally we also manage to stop for lunch and today was one of those days. I had previously had the bacon, brie and cranberry as a sandwich and it was very tasty. Today I had the same combination in the panini , it was outstanding. Crisp bacon (as requested) oozing warm brie and a generous layer of cranberry sauce, absolutely brilliant. My wife had the tomato, pesto and mozzarella panini and it was also hot, fresh and very tasty. Both panini came dressed with a small, but beautifully fresh salad in a balsamic sauce. If you are in Salisbury this cafe comes very highly recommended. And treat yourself to some of their bread or pastries to take home.

The staff were lovely, but the premises were rough and untidy. The cutlery had been in the dishwasher but no rinse aid obviously looked dirty because it looked spotty, so did not use them. The side salad was pathetic to say the least. What a shame, we will not go there again.

I have been coming to Salisbury for many a year especially for the Chalke Valley History Festival. By chance, I discovered the Artisan Bakery and was immediately taken by their different flans and the unusual but delicious cheese muffins. On more than one occasion I have bought three or four to take home with me (I even have a loyalty card!). Last Monday (June 26), I lost my wallet (at the Festival it transpired later) and after a long morning on the Tuesday trying it track it down I had to visit the Bank and cancel my cards. Cash was all I had left to last the week. Seeking a bit of solace I headed for the Artisan for a cuppa ad a cheese muffin. The tray was ready and I proffered a £10 note. The assistant informed me that they do not accept cash ... I then explained my unusual situation. She called her supervisor/boss over who somewhat aggressively advised me that they do not keep cash on the premises and were a card only shop. I repeated my situation and said that I could pay the boill in full with the correct amount of cash. This offer was ignored and the tray removed from the counter. Nobody seemed to be able to 'think outside of the box' nor treat me as a customer as being someone important. Not a question of what we can do, more a matter of what we can't do. I had to leave with a somewhat embarrassing atmosphere in the room. Went next door but one and had no trouble in obtaining a cuppa plus a muffin - for cash. In fact, I spent the rest of the week at the festival asking 'Do you take cash?' Never heard a 'no' answer. Ps .... will I go to the Artisan again? Not if I see that supervisor behind the counter ... so that is probably one customer that they have lost.

Delicious! I had the caramelized onion quiche and it came with three very nice, fresh salads. The quiche was beautifully flavored and cooked, with a wonderful crust. My husband had the mezze platter and judging from the sounds coming from his side of the table, he was pretty happy with it!! We sat outside under the big tree and soaked up the lovely market square view. Each plate was about 10 UKP which we thought was really good value for money. I'd come back tomorrow if I could and I'd 100% have the quiche again.

Excellent breads prepared in the traditional method - using proper bread making techniques, not the rushed Chorleywood method which nearly all supermarkets supply. Great place to chill and have an excellent coffee and cake - Chelsea or cinnamon buns but the must haves are their hot cross buns. No supermarket can ever match these. Staff always friendly and helpful. Very convenient in Salisbury's Market Square.

Nice little cafe on the square in the centre of city where the market is on a Tue and Sat. Unfortunately they have very limited breakfast options but the coffee was very nice and a good size in a nice clean mug. The bacon roll was tasty with good quality roll and bacon but they were a little tight on the bacon. When paying £15 for 2 bacon rolls and 2 coffees I would expect more than 1 layer of puzzle plased bacon if I am honest but overall a nice experience in a lovely city.

Service was good, the waitress carried out our order while chatting to an acquaintance of hers in the queue behind us, for which I can't fault her, as it didn't seem to slow her down! We sat outside, not a bad place to watch the world go by. I had a slice of homity pie and my partner had a panino. The food was delicious but we both felt the main part of the meal was a little on the small side and the salad too much in comparison. I could have eaten slightly more pie and slightly less coleslaw - but then I suppose it would cost more than the very reasonable £5.95 I paid. Drinks (tea and coffee) were good. Finally, from the other side of the building on Minster Street you can see right into the kitchen which is fascinating!

Stopped on a trip from Cinderford to Romsey , have driven past many times but never had time to stop, husband and son had ‘small ‘ breakfast and I had toast and jam, the breakfast was a great size, quickly served and tasted great, really good value for money . Toilets and rest of premises are really clean and can’t wait to visit again

Food was lovely, my boyfriend and I haven’t enjoyed a meal as much as that in a while. Food and drinks are low price, especially considering the portion size. Service was good; they were fast and they made sure everything was okay. Definitely coming back☺️

There’s a lot of restaurants in westbury in such a small town but this is by far the best one not just in westbury but the whole of Wiltshire the only place I will eat and the prices are fantastic too recommended B’s special for someone with a big appetite like mine the only place that can defeat me A MUST TRY

Sadly, a place with an anchor, but no hope.
