First time ordering from this takeaway and it was fabulous! The food was freshly cooked and was lovely. The best we’d had in a long time. We’ll definitely be back.

My family and I came in on bank holiday Monday and the shop itself had some amazing products and some things like pick n mix were reasonably priced, the 3 younger staff were very nice and helpful but this one older lady stank of stale fags and was so rude to the staff shouting and throwing things on the ground. She really put a down mood on the shop, the lady with blue hair was talking to her about the tasks around the shop and the older lady just stormed off. I don’t know what was going on but clearly the old lady needed her fags to get through the day you could smell it on her. However, the other 2 younger staff members were so helpful I had to ask both of the younger staff members for help and they were so amazing and even showed the website as well, I was served by the blue haired girl and she had a great smile on her (even with the old lady putting everyone down). I really hope the staff here stay positive as they have an incredible shop, and I hope that older lady gets happy and learns you can’t earn respect by shouting and storming around

The server Nich was great. We were outside and he was coming to check on us very often. Great personality. The food was good and the prices are reasonable! We liked the place but most of all, was Nich that made our evening pleasant. We will come again!!

Absolutely delicious food, great portion sizes and very quick delivery

This is a great meeting place with a hiden garden out the back , a real locals pub Brian and shirley always make you welcome and have a great sense of humour. Theirs always a story or tale , they only take money not cards , but the ATM machine is very local. a good mix of ales, beers and spirits.

Staff are friendly but the fries are disappointing,soggy and Luke warm.

It was so nice for the Wickford arms to let us stop and get a late lunch at 16.oo befor the drive home after a lovey family day of archery Just want to give you a big ( thank you ) It was a lovey place to stop And if we are in the area again we will pop in

I have just ordered 2 pizzas online and collected,it was really quick easy and only 10 mins until ready to collect - pizzas are absolutely delicious...When I went to collect smiley friendly happy staff member greeted me and helped . Nice 1 Thankyou 🙂

I was out but instead of leaving it to cold he kindly took it back to keep warm and then redelivered. great service

Friendly welcoming staff were covid aware and brewed a great latte to take away. If you prefer real coffee to a tea shop it’s definitely worth popping off the main road to take a short stop here.

My boyfriend and I went to the Orchard as our friend was doing a gig...Back on Nights..Jason was an amazing friendly host and the locals were all friendly..it had a lovely warm atmosphere and we had a great night in the lovely village location..Thank you

Oh dear, they say never go back , we did and instantly regretted it. Booked online for ourselves and 3 very well behaved Labradors. On Arrival we were interrogated by a very surly man who put us in a back room by the toilets. We felt like pariahs. The scallops starters were beautifully cooked. Sweet succulent with pea puree. Our mains , the rack of lamb was again beautiful but had a horseradish crust, not mentioned on the menu. My wife really dislikes Horseradish and this ruined her meal. The toilets were overwhelmed and flooded. Mr Surly needs to practice his front of house skills or find another job, plumbing perhaps ?

Lovely pub with great food. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Recommended!
