Customer service was good but my burger wasn’t piping hot and the burger contained an unacceptable amount of gristle. The other family members were happy with their beef roasts!
The property is very pleasant and clean, they also accommodated a request for the sea view upon arrival.
Good customer service, great outdoor location perfect to bring along the dog. Food OK, but cauliflower bowl, with jerk chicken was burned. Good food, just burnt, I think perhaps due to it being very busy.
A perfect location for holiday goers in the torbay area, super friendly service, special thank you to Mike for a memorable experience. Food is always top-notch with speedy service and always a good pint.
The Prince William has always been a welcoming location for our trips away to Brixham harbour.
We recently visited for the “Time for Two” spa day package at Gainsborough Spa Bath and left completely rejuvenated. From the moment we arrived, the friendly and attentive staff welcomed us with warmth and genuine care, instantly putting us at ease thanks to their thoughtful no-phone policy that guaranteed a serene and undistracted retreat.
At 11 am, we each enjoyed a massage that was exceptionally soothing. The massage therapists were very attentive, asking personalized questions to identify any areas of concern before focusing on those areas during the treatment. This tailored approach left us in a blissfully calm state.
After our massage, we booked an afternoon tea, which turned out to be truly lovely. I was especially delighted by the vegan lunch provided for me - the scones were amazing.
Following these treatments, we retreated to a quiet indoor relaxation area near the pool - a secluded, comfortable spot that offered the perfect opportunity for a peaceful pause.
We extend our sincere thanks to the staff for providing such a deeply relaxing day for us both. Every detail - from the personalized care during the massage to the thoughtful culinary experience - reflects the high standard of service at Gainsborough Spa Bath, making this one of our best spa experiences yet.

The concept of serving steak on a hot stone and then cooking small bits to your own liking is good on paper, I think, but in practice, it doesn't really work. A steak is a lot more enjoyable when it's cooked to perfection by a skilled steak chef. Service was quite slow, too. A shame, as I had high hopes for this place. Also, £106 for two people for a meal you've essentially got to finish cooking is a bit steep.
Very overpriced for a mediocre meal. Charged £5 for a small orange juice! Added a £30 service charge to the already enormous bill, which was mandatory and could not be removed. Service poor and unfriendly. Overall left a bitter aftertaste, leaving us feeling uncomfortable and ruined my mums birthday. Would not recommend.
Having spent almost a week in Brixham and visiting most of the obvious nice dinner locations I can honestly say this one was by far the best.
The service team were very good and as the front of house team gave a good impression.
The restaurant was very well decorated with the customary nautical theme and looks high calibre, from the professional menus, good quality cutlery (we've seen some obvious "it's only a fork" mentality) to the well decorated and clean bathrooms. All high standard.
The food was excellent. Both starters and main meals, very very high standard. If you are looking for 'fill a hole' fish and chips, this isn't your place. But if you want high standard food then this is the place. We will be back.
From a lovely friendly welcome to the minute we left, a lovely experience.
The choice was great with added specials and on a lovely warm sunny day like to day, eating outside was perfect.
We'll certainly be back soon

A Beautiful Historic Treasure!
Torre Abbey is a stunning blend of history, art, and nature. The abbey itself is beautifully preserved, and the gardens provide a peaceful escape. The art exhibitions are thoughtfully curated, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing and inspiring visit. Highly recommend for history buffs and families alike!
Booked for Saturday dinner. Got to the restaurant only to find it had been closed for months. They kept sending us reminders about our booking as well. Disgraceful.

Came to Torquay for the weekend and my brother recommended this place and we are glad he did. Very nice pint of guiness and chap who done the entertainment was good and had a few up dancing. Popped back Sunday afternoon and sat outside in the sunshine, was lovely.
Gorgeous cream tea and the scones were slightly warmed. Best coffee of our holidays and courteous staff. We can’t fault anything we had. We even stayed for another cuppa.
If only we lived locally as I’d come back again
