The best restaurants in Preston Torbay South West

Super, super friendly lady behind the counter. Really enjoyed talking to her and she was so kind and nice. I think we talked for maybe 10 - 15 minutes when I went to collect my order. Food was good, not too oily and very tasty. Good portion size and a lot of options available also on the menu. Hopefully we can eat here again next time we come over from Belgium 😊

10 of us ate in on Halloween. Fantastic fish and chips and superb service. Nice to see gravy has made it to the South West! Will be back next time we are in Devon.

Met here with a group of friends for a few drinks and what a fantastic little pub with a lovely atmosphere. Very welcoming and really friendly locals. Staff are very attentive and the service is excellent. Please ignore the previous review…I think maybe they were having a bad day!!!

We had a few different meals from this Chinese takeaway, each time phoning the order in and getting it delivered. The food was delivered near enough to the time specified, although it did take a while to be delivered considering it was only up the road. The food was nice and always hot when we got it. Plenty choice on the menu, prices reasonable.

Best chinese ever. lovely fresh food with very friendly and polite and beautiful staff to match I will definitely rate this one as 5 star

Great place for good value food and drinks

Best fish and chips in a long time. Generous portions, properly crispy batter and well made tartare sauce. Definitely will be back

This was our second time there. We loved the place and the owner Jode is so lovely the room was very spacious,clean and tidy . The view of the beach is right outside your room you can see and hear the sea all day and it’s wonderful. It’s room only but there is plenty to eat around in Paignton .

Unexpected quality and value for money with really friendly service to boot. We over ordered thinking the portion sizes would be smaller for the pricing..... big mistake! Generous portions didn't need a side, and a starter to share (the whitebait) was ample. It was quite quiet, but I don't think that was what made the service good - I think the staff were happy in their job and it showed ?!? If I'm wrong they hid it well and either way a credit to the Boathouse!

Thariks has provided a consistent quality that keeps us coming back. Each meal is delicious, and the service is always superb. We appreciate knowing we can rely on this restaurant for a great dining experience every time. It’s comforting to have such a dependable place for our favorite Indian cuisine.

Stayed here for a week with the family. It was ok, the room was a good size, the decor was great. Prices were absolutely amazing, specially knowing it is a seaside town, and a silver service restaurant.

This place is more like a social experience than a café, in keeping the ethos of it's charitable background. We were way out of season and it's fairly well off the main beaches in a bit of a cul de sac of the riviera seafront so we suspect it's all very different in the high season. On New Year's Eve it was more like being invited to a family and friends get together than walking into a commercial establishment - apart from the paying bit obviously, but even that wasn't too painful!

2nd and last time, seagulls enjoyed my chips, never again. how can you make a chip so horrible. please dont even try this place.
