Saturday 11th November. 18 degrees, sunshine and blue sky. So managed to get a lovely ice cream from here as well as drinks, (lovely hot chocolate) and a festive sausage roll - which felt strange in the warmth, Lol. Perfect food, ice cream and drinks.

Tables were sticky,so i asked staff to wipe it down but they were still sticky even after they had! ordered the prawn salad, paid for it then was told 5 minutes later they had no prawns i was really disapointed and wondered why it was so hard to have enough prawns in the kitchen. so i asked for just the salad that was a very sad dish hardly any salad for £13.95 with bits of the end of an onion maybe they had run out of onions as well? i had ( instead of the missing hard to find prawns ) olives and bread, the olives was just cheap nasty black olives and not that many and a larger small dish of way too much cheap olive oil, bread was ok though Staff looked bored & unfriendly and the place was empty, they turned another two customers away saying they did not have what they ordered either, the owner/chef/cook/manager or what ever he is looked like he really did not wont to be at work running his buiness on a sunday at 2pm maybe he was just having a bad day but it put me in a mood spoilt my visit i would not reccomend to my friends and family it was a waste of our time and money My partner had the monkfish and chips which he has renamed gonkfish as it wasnt anything special and the chips were frozen for 15.95 it was hardly value for our money. We decided to visit the sea shack as the reviews seemed pretty good however our experience was nothing like what was stated

My wife and I are on holiday at the Waterside Holiday Park in Goodrington and were very pleased to discover the Waterside Inn to be within reasonable walking distance. We went there tonight for dinner and found that the food was amazing and with a good range of dishes. I had lamb kofta starter, gammon skillet main and sticky toffee cheesecake for dessert. My wife had garlic breaded mushrooms and steak and ale pie. All the food was cooked to perfection and tasted great - and was served at the correct temperature. However, the most notable feature was the exceptional service from all staff, who were very polite, friendly and efficient. In particular I must single out and thank Gemma, the duty manager, who went above and beyond to resolve a complicated price discount voucher problem on my bill. She remained calm and attentive and resolved the issue to my complete satisfaction in an extremely helpful way. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anybody. We shall definitely be visiting again before the end of our holiday. Thanks to all who made our evening so enjoyable.

Debbie and Tee are amazing! The foods great and the service is impeccable. There's a no nonsense attitude towards the quality of the food served. A no nonsense lady who describes herself as picky but I say she's discerning and keeps the food up to par. Beautiful meal 😊😋

Don’t let any negative reviews sway or influence your decision to go to or use Alan’s restaurant and takeaway. The food is excellent. If you have lived in average market towns in central England over the last 25 year or so years and tried to find a good Chinese takeaway you will know exactly what I am talking about. We ordered a range of dishes and they were fresh, light, well cooked, with lovely flavours. You would have to go a long way to find better.

As we could not find any place selling chips on this side of the Goodrjng Beach we walked on the other side at stopped at the South Sands Cafe. The staff was friendly and helpful in taking our order and showing us where the condiments were. The prices for their food is reasonably priced and it was worth that little walk from the main area on the beach.

Made the mistake of going twice now. Both times, my husband has been unwell after eating here! We thought it was a coincidence the first time, but after twice, definitely a connection. The fist visit, 3 of us had cod and chips. The chips were ok on this occasion, I've had worse. The fish seemed overcooked, and the batter was somehow burnt underneath. Put it down to us getting there late, as they were closing 10 minutes before we arrived. The next day, my husband was ill, he can get sick easily if something is off or to greasy etc. But we just thought it was the grease, as the other 2 of us were ok. The second time, my husband chose to go, as we'd finished work late and had not eaten all day!!! What a mistake! I could barely eat any of it, it tasted so bad. Never had chips so bad I could not eat even one. Husband ate his, but didn't enjoy it. He has been up all night feeling sick and with a fever! Definitely will NOT be going back!

The bar service, where you also order food, can be pretty slow. The menu is pretty average and so is the food. The location is great for a walk along the front before or after eating but otherwise not somewhere you would rush back to. The drinks menu isn't a bad price with some offers on (bottle of prosecco is £13.99 on a friday). Restaurant is a little tired looking. We only use this restaurant for breakfast normally whilst at the premier inn because of the slow evening service
