Nice location, friendly service but awful coffee - tasted like hot milk and water.

Lovely staff and lovely place. Just don’t order the sausage butty. Was hoping for a juicy sausage in a big floury bap… but got a deep fried dry school dinner sausage, in a bap that tasted like an old sofa cushion. Sorry to leave a bad review, but weeks later I’m still haunted by how bad it was. Husband had cheesy chips and they were fine

Lovely little cafe with some nice seating to look out at sea. Or if it's hot there's a bit of shelter around the corner from the cafe.

Just had some absolutely stunning pizza here with my family on a balmy Saturday evening in July. Coming here and finishing a lovely day at the seaside with the best pizza in the area is unbeatable. You will not be disappointed if you do the same.

Great place to grab a snack for yourself or your pooch ( they will cook up a sausge just for your dog and chop it into bite size pieces for them ). Really friendly staff and very reasonable prices with a great view of the coast and the steam train.

Great little independent cafe, good prices and fresh food. Kids loved the ice cream. Lovely to sit by the beach there.

Lushness - coffee, cheesy chips & cheese and bacon roll on a sunny winter day. Thanks to the aqesome dude serving who was super friendly and helpful.

Shocking cheese chips half the chips was black and hardly no cheese he cheese burger was as bad as smartprice cheap burger wouldn't go again no wonder the pub and other place was packed and this establishment wasn't don't waste your cash

Just so people know - the number given online (Google result) is not current, and neither are the opening hours. Old owner has tried to change numerous times unsuccessfully.

A very nice Mocha and ice-cream

Waited for an hour and a half but still hadnt got food. So got a refund. They were 'feeding the whole beach' by all accounts. A few other people where having to get refunds too. No board saying how long the delay would be (which would have helped) just kept taking orders.

Friendly, well cooked chips, would return.

A handy place to grab a refreshment when your down Goodrington way. I particularly found it useful last summer when we spent the day on the sands soaking up the sun with my little boy. The cafe was very handy for drinks, ice creams, and lunch of which we had cheesy chips! Mind the wind though as it can flip your chips into the sand. Like ours did. Funny now, not then.

People were waiting over an hour for burnt sausages and basic frozen chips. We got our money back and went elsewhere

I’d highly recommend going here! The staff are friendly, the food is tasty (including ice cream), there are plenty of tables in the shade or sun to sit down at, and all for a reasonable price.

Food was nice and not badly priced. I would recommend this cafe more than the north end as the older couple running it only took cash and were wearing no ppe at all , not even latex gloves. The chap used his hands by touching peoples chips to level the portions on the poly plates. Then I couldn't believe he used his hands to keep dishing out the cheese for cheesy chips with bear hands. Didn’t actually go to south sands cafe, just a good photo opportunity, the cafe was closed anyway, unsure of opening hours but now the summer season has gone I expect it will probably be shut for the foreseeable.

Outdoor seating cafe - good food at reasonable prices. Even on a 25deg Easter Sunday it was easy to walk up, order fish and chips and have it freshly made in 10 minutes. Was also easy enough to find a place to sit.

Great friendly service, we had a variety of food, hot and cold with hot chocolates and cups of tea all round. We didn't have a single thing to complain about, everything was hot that should have been and the baguettes that 2 people had from our group were nice and fresh and crammed with fillings. Lovely location as well. Was only in the area for a weekend getaway but would definitely come back again. 👍

Took my niece there yesterday....quite a long queue as other food outlet closed!! The service was excellent...good hot food and very inexpensive....although the queue was long it took between 5 and 10 mins for food to arrive...I say that's great service. It must have been very hot in that kiosk...I do hope the owners appreciate their great staff : )
