Debbie and Tee are amazing! The foods great and the service is impeccable. There's a no nonsense attitude towards the quality of the food served. A no nonsense lady who describes herself as picky but I say she's discerning and keeps the food up to par. Beautiful meal 😊😋

More like a canteen. Very busy with tables Very close, making it difficult to move around. I had to queue twice,once for hot food and again for hot drinks. As the queues were very long it meant one or the other was cold.

So disappointed don't know if you have to arrive first thing in the morning we arrived at restaurant around 2.30 there was no food being served apart from a few pasties or sandwiches,there was no one on the hot drinks section, after standing for quite a long time waiting to pay for sandwiches a staff member eventually arrived asked for a fruit juice to be told they only had fizzy drinks or water, most of the staff were standing around in groups chatting just didn't feel at all welcoming,

Everything was really well thought out and the staff were particularly helpful with ensuring the differing needs of my neuro divergent grandchildren were met with a smile. The only slight disappointment was that the high chairs had no tray and didn't get close enough to the table to avoid the inevitable spills. Apart from that slight inconvenience, brilliant!

Poor choice of food and very expensive. £8 minimum for a jacket potato or a panini. The restaurant has a good seating area with great views over the lake and you can spot the odd animal from the windows. In peak season they do have children's lunch boxes and they can choose what goes inside it. Recently they have added another option window that serves milkshakes, iced lattes etc but it is hard to spot until you've already been at the checkout.

Luckily we didn't have to wait for food, the chunky chicken bites are amazing, and the salad was so tasty. Excellent for the money, not as expensive as you think. Plenty of seating area, tables were all clean and empty.

Queuing system is awful if you want hot drinks or sandwiches you then have to either join the back of the main que again or push in front of others I said this was silly to staff and they agree The food was good brilliant portions and well priced Service was brilliant very polite and helpful staff

This café (you can't call it a restaurant) is very expensive for what you get. 2 x cheesy chips, 2 x cup of tea, and a cookie came to £27! It's only saving grace was the staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble.

Pre cooked tasteless food under heat lamps, very disappointing. We paid £5.95 for a small side plate of chips - shocking.

The food was amazing. I had cauliflower and chickpea curry with chips. It was delicious. Staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, service was fast and although there was a queue; it was constantly moving and I didn't wait long at all for food.

I returned to the zoo after five years only to find the steam train gone. How very sad to see a popular attraction disappear. Apart from disliking the management who now runs this zoo for (apparently) disregarding public opinion about the steam train, the rest of the park was as beautiful as before. My second visit was in November rather than the summer; but nevertheless, I still enjoyed the visit and the rain left off for most of the day. The restaurant has a good choice of tasty food at a reasonable price and there are loads of seats scattered throughout the park, as well as picnic tables and a play area for the children. The gift shop had a lot of really lovely little nik naks that I havent found elsewhere. I certainly recommend a day out at this zoo. Meanwhile I suggest that customers write a complaint about the steam train being taken away.

Decent. Food ok, big queues, ok for price.

A limited but good quality menu with reasonable prices and good portion sizes. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors all kept nice and clean. Yes there was a bit of a queue but that's to be expected when feeding so many people and on my visit I found the staff to be attentive and efficient. Some kind of virtual queue / mobile ordering may have helped things along but for a smaller attraction I think they are doing an admirable job.

This is a large restaurant with a good selection of hot and cold drinks and food. Main meals are a good price and decent sized portions. Cakes are delicious and locally produced. There's plenty of seating and is kept clean and tidy.

Excellent value for money, really good selection and quality of the food was superb. Access was not great and it was so busy that I had to queue for 20mins but I was expected as it was the half term holidays . Full tummies and big smiles all 'round- we'll be back 👍

OK food but really long queue Your better off going to the play area where they do really nice pizzas to order and no queue

Lots of seating. Two queues, so make sure you don't just join the first one you walk to. Kids had chicken nuggets and peas but they were called something else. I had lemon chicken and chips and beams and it was lovely, highlight of our holiday so far.

Really lovely restaurant with lots of peacocks wondering about outside. A good range of snacks and hot foods and drinks.

Paninis was very nice. Had a buzzer when the paninis was ready which was a very good system. Had a peacock friend with us during the entire meal

Very good food, friendly service and nice atmosphere

Decent food, fair prices. Service is okay, but the 'Indian dhal' on my jacket potato was very cold when served, had to wait about 7 mins for it to be heated up. Not the cleanest restaurant though, all the staff are quite young and don't seem to be cleaning tables but instead waiting for customers at tills even when business is quiet. Brilliant location though. There are limited vegetarian and vegan options but it's good to see some choices. Good selection of birchall specialty teas, and delicious cakes! Biodegradable packaging on sandwiches etc is good to see, they are reducing single use plastics at the zoo so they only sell cartons or cans of drinks.

Good food at reasonable prices. If Zoo is busy so is the restaurant.
