Location was excellent and rooms were very good but I've marked the service down because of the restaurant. Service was below what I expected. Empty plates left on the tables and debris on the floor. I Had to prompt the waiting staff more than once. The food was good so no complaints there.

A great stay for a special family occasion. We had 4 rooms all with amazing sea views one with extra beds for young children and one with a baby cot. All comfortable and clean. We booked the meal package each day and reception helped us organise all the bookings. Great service from the reception staff and from the bar staff dealing with the large evening meal orders. A special mention and a big thank you to Emma on reception for all her help, advice and friendly service, she is a credit to the Premier Inn company.

Beware when you stay here, Whitbread who own premier inn have given horizon parking control of a previously free for customer car park, result you are stung for charges, you are told not to pay when you arrive but when you leave, result in my case I forgot, and for my two day stay I am looking at 2 individual fines of £57 each, I wonder what the kick back for Whitbread it, the easy jet of hotel chains

So I can’t bring my dog in so I sit outside in the covered area that is full of sh&t and people smoking when they aren’t supposed to??!? Think you need to do some housekeeping.

Service from pretty much every single member of staff is mega. Genuinely super. Food is standard premier in stuff. Beers are good and it's a cracking location. Parking is ok, just remember to pay before you leave as zero codes or references given. WiFi is shocking(1mb down, .25 up) , they are taking full advantage that the signal for mobiles inside is poor so try and push for the premium WiFi(£5 a day). Summer I am guessing it would be rammed! 😂

Normally amazing service in the past from Emma. Lovely lady goes out of her way to help everytime we have stayed here. Shes so kind and thoughtful. But tonight kirsty a stand in lady. Made me feel uncomfortable and not welcome at all. Told me their was no sea view rooms. But found out their was later. Really upset me. Luckily Emma helped us and so greatful

Couldn't fault them! The room was clean, the location was great and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we couldn't check in early due to staff shortages but they so kindly let us leave our suitcases behind safely. The vending machine also wasn't working properly and they let us have a jug of ice water to take to our room. Would highly recommend.

The room itself was clean, with a kettle tea sugar and coffee...hair dryer heating flatscreen tv as you would expect..... I paid extra for the sea view on the first floor, when I pulled back the curtains to find it really disappointing that the windows were really dirty. Beautiful veiw of the coastline that was ruined by birds poo cobwebs and Sea salt dirt on the windows..... One of the curtains was missing curtain hooks. Paint was flaking around windows.... Bar shut at 10.30 so couldn't get a drink and the vending machine wasn't working tho there was what I wanted in the machine it was saying out of order, disappointing.... The staff were as helpful as they could be and were all polite. Despite that we slept well and the English breakfast was OK, and filled a hole.

Premier Inns are excellent value for money. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable and the staff are friendly. We also choose them because of the 11pm watershed where customers are asked to be quiet so other guests can sleep. It's a good night's sleep or your money back policy which is excellent. One of the best Premier Inns that we've stayed in 3 times is this one at Goodrington Sands. It's right on the seafront with a lovely beach nearby. Theres the Splash fun place next door and a park with lake and boats and crazy golf. The walk into Paignton is very scenic and pleasant. In the other direction you can walk along the cliff path. We love coming down for breakfast and looking out at the sea, or in warm weather sitting on the tables outside. An excellent position and stunning views that change with the weather. The steam train runs past the beach and looks as though it's on top of the beach huts so another attraction for young and old alike

I use Premier a lot for personal and business trips - this trip was booked for a member of my team for business. Hotel is as expected and location lovely by the sea. BUT parking and the subsequent service my employee received from reception was really bad, hence the review so others are aware. Hotel has parking but it's by managed/ monitored by Horizon. At the time of our stay the machine didn't work and neither did their online portal - receptions response was not willing to help and advised "wait for the PCN (parking charge notice)!!!". As we had booked non flexi we had no choice but to stay at the hotel other wise we would have moved to another hotel. Horizon is as expected, awful to deal with... and now sent four PCN's (one for each day of our stay) as we couldn't get hold of them (via phone, online etc)... apparently online (if it's working you can backdate - but this isn't the case). Of course we have now appealed as have evidence but writing this so others aware... feel like it's money making scheme between Premier and Horizon. We won't be using this hotel again. Each PCN is £57 per one, if not paid within a certain time frame its £95.00 for each one.

Hotel it's self was as expected at any premier inn, but the restaurant is shocking, starter and main course served at the same time on first night, when asked why? They looked at me like I had 6 heads. Second night main course came out midway through my starter. Will not be returning, would sooner drive a bit farther and not have to endure that restaurant. Sad really because it has some lovely views.

Went with my family for breakfast. Excellent value for the cooked breakfast but the continental breakfast wasn't such good value in the fact that the choice of items is rather limited. I would have expected cheese and ham , salami etc. Coffee was excellent. Staff hard working. Yoghurt and fresh fruit selection was quite poor considering the number of people coming for breakfast on a Sunday morning. There was only 2 pots of natural yoghurt left when I went to get some. That was about 9.45am. a few more were put in by the staff but then I had the last strawberry yoghurt about 10.15 and there was still people coming in for breakfast.

Right on the sea wall and almost on the beach this is a good location. Very close to Splashdown Quay west but that was closed so not a source of nuisance and noise it may be at height of the season.

We are usually very happy with this establishment however today was horrendous, myself and daughter visited for an all day breakfast the young man serving us was very helpful and polite on serving us however an hour later no food had arrived and we were by then becoming concerned mentioned to him he said another 10 mins which turned out longer but I don't blame him at all he was rushed off his feet being the only person at the bar. Bless him! The food eventually arrived which was not good the beans are usually in a bowl separate from the meal but no they were tipped on the plate totally covering the toast and butter also on the plate which was covered in beans and soggy the eggs were so snotty and all in all we were totally disappointed in our experience today so disappointing.

Visited Torquay Easter weekend and went here on Sunday when a free hot dog was offered with any drink - Loved the interior decor and the island bar. Nice seated garden area and the whole place has nice vibe, good crowd of people. Small dance floor area with DJ playing all the gay tunes ..

Wow This is the must visit Indian & southern Bengal restaurant in Torquay UK. We tried another before we had the best experience: good quality wine & beers, traditional & unique Southern Bengal style. We really enjoyed the mild Thariks Chef recommended Modzadar Chicken done in a Tandoori style & the beautiful South Bengal Special Lamb in a very tasty creamy tomato with the chefs special spices, a very light Pillaw rice, a plain Nan , a pint of Cobra from India & a terrific Magners cider from Dublin! £52.50.. a bargain for an unforgettable special dinner in the Torquay area! Thanks so much to the friendly staff & chef. We will be back tomorrow!!!
