The flavors at Thariks are simply incredible. The tandoori chicken was perfectly cooked and the service was exceptional.

Fantastic food and great value! The vegetable curry was packed with flavor and the portions were generous. Highly recommend.

5 of us dined . The young guy who served us (forgot to take his name) was amazing, dealt with all our tweaks to our orders, super friendly and totally unfazed by our not so small and slightly water messy dog. Nothing was a problem and made our evening very pleasant on top of which the food was very tasty, best we'd had in the area.

Have never had a bad meal at Thariks today Jaz gave excellent service and advice on the dishes, which again was excellent. Excellent food, atmosphere, and staff.

Had a takeaway delivered. 2 chicken passandas. First delivery were very watery & tasteless. After a call they sent 2 more, more watery than the first. All of it went in the bin. Phoned them to explain I was very disappointed in sub standard food, they put phone down. A total waste of money & no dinner! Disgraceful way to run a business

Extremely expensive on soft drinks and Naan bread. £4 for a can of Coke and £4.50 for a single plan Naan left a bad taste in the mouth. Briyani was very bland and not nice at all. Chicken Garlic curry was very nice and tasty and staff were nice and polite. However, I would have perfered if the spoons and glasses being served were held from the bottom rather than holding them from the top end. I didn't expect the bill for come to over £60. So do check price on drinks and Naan before placing your order.

We are regulars and always enjoy our meals and the excellent service. The food is the best we've ever had. The excitement of the wonderful smells hit you before you go in and then the pleasure really begins. You get service with a smile, a warm welcome and the most delicious food and good portions. We love going there and will go back again and again as it never disappoints. Highly recommend you try this wonderful restaurant.

Had a takeaway, vegetarian asked for medium to 🔥, I've had more heat in a can of tomato soup, could not detect any spice or heat

I recieved my food cold No nan bread no drink, the driver must of been lost for ages for the food to be cold, you would of thought the driver would of phoned the number to ask for directions, so to my conclusion THIS WAS DONE ON PURPOSE, will not be ordering food from their again, its all about repeat custom to run a succsessful business see ya..

Food was excellent as was the service . The only reason that Thariks gets a 2 for atmosphere is because the only people there apart from us, were people and delivery drivers picking up food.

First visit and was not disappointed.. whilst it was a little quiet for a Saturday night (as we sat in) the constant toing and froing of the delivery guys seems to show it was busy .. great service and we will return

Me and my wife was staying in Torquay for weekend and like to go out try different restaurants and we can both highly recommended this place we phoned Friday evening when we arrived to see if we could book a table that was not a problem fitted us straight in. When we arrived was welcomed in and sat us down took are food and drinks order starters and main was absolutely delicious was no rushing us to get the table back would highly recommended this place when we are down again soon we will definitely be coming back for some more food

Pros; Poppadom and saucers are great! Curry was full of favour. Rice was good Cons; Non alcoholic drinks experience, spring water £3.95? Pint of Coke from a 2ltr bottle £3.95? Little excessive. Table cloth dirty. Plates just taken, not asked if I had finished.

One of the few restaurants open in Paignton when we visited, but the meal was one of the best we've had. The service was really good too.

I always use Thariks for a takeaway. I tend not to eat in but it's clearly enjoyed by others who do. The place is clean and relaxed.

Unbelievable service , missed of a main meal on order, wouldn’t re deliver said they where to busy.(so one person was to go hungry) , I insisted on a redelivery 65 minutes later I wished I hadn’t bothered , Portion size is a joke somosa starter £4.20 consisting of 2 tiny one bite somasas , mixed starter covered in the onions trying to hide the small amount of meat , lamb very tuff , chicken like rubber , avoid !

Food was good but service was to slow felt they were putting take away orders as a priority, waited over an hour for our starter then had to do ask staff about our order, then was served wrong main course,shame really eating out is a luxury now and left feeling disappointed

Previous order they forgot our naan bread but charged us for 2 . Yesterday onion barges were stale and inedible . Chips were stale poppadoms are well over priced and also stale tasting . £1 per poppadom and they were all smashed up . Food was cold all in all we spent £80 will not be returning. overpriced for the quality . Better off going elsewhere .

I am sad to say after new management, the taste of everything has changed again and not for better, we did try again hoping it was a mistake, unfortunately it's the same, we won't be coming back unfortunately. So sad after I was so amazed at the food not long ago, they have been my go to for a while. Old Review: This is my go to for an Indian takeaway for a few years now. But recently the quality dropped and everything tasted the same. I believe they are under new management now and I was blown away at the taste of everything. It's the first takeaway I've had in a long time where I didn't regret it. We ordered a Dansak, Butter Chicken and Pasanda curries. All tasted amazing and easily distinguishable, the tandoori chicken was really tasty. The onion bhajees were full of flavour and the pashwari naan was lovely (I wish there were some nice sultanas in there too!)

I had a Chicken Jalfrezi with mushroom rice and naan. One of the best i have had, very tasty, lots of meat and sauce was delicious. Rice and naan great too. Very friendly staff and excellent service. I will be back next time i am in the area.

Very nice. Searched a local Indian restaurant during a stay in Torbay, went on google reviews and not disappointed. Clean and tidy seating, I had a Madras the Wife a Pathia , both very tasty and well spiced. Would definitely visit again.

The worst place to eat the lamb was completely raw and smelly and it doesn't worth to spend a single penny from this authentic 😫 restaurant 🤮 just to make sure you have diariah tablets ready when you eat from here 🤕🤮 just a two single meal will cost you £72 and you will be charged lots of hidden extra money which is awful 🤮🤮🤮🤮

The worst curry ever! The lamb jalfrezi was inedible. The lamb was so tough I couldn’t even chew it - went straight in the bin! The chicken karahi was exactly the same dish as the lamb but with chicken! Sadly, cannot recommend this place at all, which is a shame as it’s so local…..

Me and my partner worked as delivery drivers for this place and have to say chef and other kitchen staff are truly lovely people as well as other delivery drivers but I have to say the owner treats staff poorly and has a face that could turn milk sour, his customer service is atrocious, he seriously needs to learn what courteous and manners are...... Wouldn't recommend working for them at all, food is decent but truly an awful place to work .....

Ordered at 630, 830 called to see where my order was to which the man on the phone was quite irate with me saying he didn't know where the order was (just eat) and to just cancel the order. Clearly not been cooked or sent out. When booked on just eat it said 1hr which was totally acceptable on a Friday evening but the time kept getting pushed back. Guy in the phone offered discount on next order like I would put myself through this again. So he canceled it himself further confirmation it hadn't been sent. Shambles if it had said 2hr plus I wouldn't have ordered. Ended up with a crip piece not a happy evening

My family came down for the weekend for my sister's birthday and thank God my dad was to tried to come all 7of us was really ill my son was bad two hour after my cousin and his wife had to stay back at the hotel because they needed the toilet,I was really bad sick and running to the toilet and my sister which just had cancer was so I'll and none of has eaten for two days ,what a weekend,we should of really send the chicken main meal back the whole weekend was ruin cost 170.oo which really we should of check it.the people are a disgrace servicing bad food,money seems more important ,I just so lucky my dad didn't go he would of ended up in hospital

Had a wonderful evening very clean modern looking restaurant excellent service my only criticism would be the hotness ratings on the menu I choose dishes that weren't hot but turned out to be very hot and the people I was out with choose hotter dishes that weren't so hot Also quite a few spelling mistakes on the online menu

Had a wonderful delivery of food on Friday. The food was hot colourful and very tasty, and was delivered hot by a lovely lady, As a retired head chef from London i could honestly say it was the best Indian meal I've had in a very long time

Ordered food at 1630 knowing its Friday it gunna be busy. Opened at 1730 own website states about an hour so called at 1900 already out for delivery. At 1940 went to check door bell worked as we haven't heard a peep and food was in communal area. Didn't get a call or message not even a door bell ring. Food wasn't has hot as I would like so was all microwave waved till piping hot. BUT food was lush as always!

Not quite as authentic as they describe. The chicken Karahi and lamb bhuna was ordered along with a bottle of Volvic water. The chicken Karahi was 70% onion, as was the Bhuna. It appeared as though they had the same base sauce with a slight difference in top garnish. We did question wether we were served lamb, as the taste and texture of the meat was identical to mutton. £3.90 for a bottle of Volvic mineral water seemed rather steep to ourselves. Rather bland overall, but I suppose it depends on your individual pallette. Those used to south asian food, will find it disappointing.

Orderd online for delivery at 5.20pm when ordering it stated 60 minutes, emailed confirmation received it said to ring if the order hasn't arrived within an hour, gave them an extra 20 minutes rang to ask where my order was took ages to get through, eventually did and it took another hour to arrive at 7.40pm. Food was average at best have had many takeaways from here before and throughly enjoyed it but seems to have gone downhill, dry rice all stuck together, the nanm bread used to be amazing from here orderd garlic and cheese naan, basically just a plain naan arrived with some grated cheese on top then folded over very sweaty in the bag and no garlic, the madras curry was OK temperature acceptable but had pretty much no spice might aswel have been a korma, one of us had chips they went cold very quickly so didn't eat them. I'll take my custom elsewhere in the future.

This was the best chicken danzak and chicken korma with aloo gobi Bombay potatoes and basmati rice I have had in torbay! Well recomended

Not very good, had takeaway from here. Everything was barely warm, naan was chewy, chapatis look shop bought basically like dry tortilla wraps. Rice was clumped together like an uncle bens microwaveable rice. The chicken in the curry was very dry like it had been frozen. It was cheap but very disappointing won't order there again.

I would have to say the food was hot and delicious however the service was awful. There was 5 of us in a group and from the moment we walked in there was no interaction from the owners. As a group we felt they didn't want us there and didn't check in with us to see how things were. I have never had such poor customer service and as eating out is the whole experience not just the food I recommend you don't visit here! I also thought the whole place felt grubby and could do with a clean as I pulled the chair out it was stained and shabby. As a group we would never go back as it ruined our night.

The owner couple so rude. They don’t have basic manners to talk with customers. When we asked is it HALAL Restuarant ?? Owner replied if you think it’s not Halal just leave & refuses to serve food. They wasted our petrol & time. We came all the way from London . A lady owner was so arrogant. No manners to how to respond. Both husband wife fight with us refused to serve & took us out of the place :(
