Thariks Indian Restaurant & Takeaway in Torbay

Enjoyed a tasty meal tonight at Thariks. Good service with a friendly waiter. Everything was as it should be. A bonus was 25% discount if you dine in. Would recommend to others.

In fifty years, this was the worst Indian I've ever had. In short, bland, insipid, watery, greasy, dull and boring. Chef's special? Special needs, more like. 30% off? I wouldn't order from Thariks again if it was 90% off. In even shorter, what a bunch of crap!

Ordered food for 19:30 - 20:00 at 18:00 and the food turned up after 21:00 cold. We rang them up a couple of times for the to say it's on its way. Certainly wouldn't be using them again!

I had lamb dansak curry and my grandad had a chicken dansak and had onion bhaji and rice and the food was fantastic couldn't fault it. The delivery took over 2 hours from ordering but was definitely worth the wait will definitely tip the delivery driver next time I order and hope the food doesn't change from the great quality food I had tonight. I give the chef 5 stars for a lovely experience tonight keep up the good work A+++

Ordered a takeaway, turned up cold. Phoned them to see where the food was, told it had just left the restaurant, arrived 1 minute later. Appalling customer service, when phoned to say the food was cold, i.e. stone cold. Refused to pick the cold food up. This is the first time we have ordered from here, it is also the last.

What a shame. I came in on Wednesday night for a meal the young man said what do you want waved to a table we could sit at no smile how can I help A bald man and a lady left think they was doing a delivery got a big smile spoke to us as he left was nice The chaps came from out the back gave some food to a chap up that end 5/10 minutes, then our food came out naan bread warm on the top cold on the bottom sent that back, then started to eat the meal was only warm said food not hot he went out the back came over in a bit said we can warm it up if you want, we was running out of time by then, said to the young man as we are the only customers how can you not send out hot food left most of it as put off it by then. payed the bill said we won’t be back didn’t seem that bothered have had lots of deliveries from here and been in for meals always been good.

Great little place friendly and good value by comparison. You can always judge an Indian restaurant by it's lamb dishes and this has tender perfectly cooked Balti, Rogan and passanda lamb dishes

Help themselves to a tip out of the change even if they think that they deserve it, is that right or wrong???. Curry and rice was warmish, Popadoms wasn't very crispy and bread was dry , won't be going back again.

5 of us dined . The young guy who served us (forgot to take his name) was amazing, dealt with all our tweaks to our orders, super friendly and totally unfazed by our not so small and slightly water messy dog. Nothing was a problem and made our evening very pleasant on top of which the food was very tasty, best we'd had in the area.

Had a takeaway delivered. 2 chicken passandas. First delivery were very watery & tasteless. After a call they sent 2 more, more watery than the first. All of it went in the bin. Phoned them to explain I was very disappointed in sub standard food, they put phone down. A total waste of money & no dinner! Disgraceful way to run a business

Extremely expensive on soft drinks and Naan bread. £4 for a can of Coke and £4.50 for a single plan Naan left a bad taste in the mouth. Briyani was very bland and not nice at all. Chicken Garlic curry was very nice and tasty and staff were nice and polite. However, I would have perfered if the spoons and glasses being served were held from the bottom rather than holding them from the top end. I didn't expect the bill for come to over £60. So do check price on drinks and Naan before placing your order.

We are regulars and always enjoy our meals and the excellent service. The food is the best we've ever had. The excitement of the wonderful smells hit you before you go in and then the pleasure really begins. You get service with a smile, a warm welcome and the most delicious food and good portions. We love going there and will go back again and again as it never disappoints. Highly recommend you try this wonderful restaurant.

Had a takeaway, vegetarian asked for medium to 🔥, I've had more heat in a can of tomato soup, could not detect any spice or heat

I recieved my food cold No nan bread no drink, the driver must of been lost for ages for the food to be cold, you would of thought the driver would of phoned the number to ask for directions, so to my conclusion THIS WAS DONE ON PURPOSE, will not be ordering food from their again, its all about repeat custom to run a succsessful business see ya..

Food was excellent as was the service . The only reason that Thariks gets a 2 for atmosphere is because the only people there apart from us, were people and delivery drivers picking up food.
