Had a family meal here while on holiday. Food was nice and didn’t wait too long for food. Good place to have a look around and then went in the sports bar underneath after to play pool and had a couple of drinks.

Emily in the sports bar was very friendly, chatty and generally good service, recommended a great burger, pool cues in poor condition though.

First visit. On entry not busy,clean vibrant American style,prompted by waitress to put in number plate for free parking which was good as I wouldn't have realized I'd had to do. Waitress was very friendly, polite, helpful. Menu extensive. Chose Classic burger and I think it was called Piggy pulled pork,bacon burger, food arrived very quickly which on first thought it wasn't freshly cooked but obviously I can't be sure on that. First thing way to many chips between two people basically enough for four and each left half. Burger buns not my personal choice as seamed low quality but soft. Burgers tasty if not tasted burnt but understand they'd been on a griddle to be heated up,on my burger pulled pork very tasty but the bacon was definitely not freshly cooked removed some and didn't eat it. Coleslaw was very good but on the whole was underwhelmed by food. Spent nearly £40 on two Burger meals and two soft drinks. Personally thought that was expensive for what we got.

I had driven past many times but decided to pop in for some lunch. Best decision I made. The food was absolutely fantastic. Reasonably priced and the staff were ever so friendly and very helpful. The atmosphere was awesome from the decor right down to the music. I totally recommend anyone popping in, even if it's just for a drink. You will not be disappointed 🙂

1st visit to Harleys. As it was Monday evening we didn't expect a party atmosphere so that's not an issue. Staff were pleasant although waiting for cutlery after the food has be served was a bit lax. We ordered ribs and potato wedges x 2 and fish and chips. Ribs we very dry and hardly any meat. It was hit and miss as to the wedges being cooked or still hard in the middle. Fish was okay but the fries were cold. We decided to have a pud as we were still hungry, waffle was rock solid, only the ice cream was edible. I live local and took my 2 visiting friends to Harleys as the most recent reviews looked good. Very disappointed. Such a shame, as I could see the theme of an American diner has been well thought out and achieved.

Amazing food and very welcoming staff. Only complaint would be OMG huge portions lol 😆 😂 I had the toots with steak ends was amazing. Hubby had loaded fries, he said they were the best he's ever had. Little girl had ham egg and chips, she's not a big eater but pretty much cleared her plate. She had ice cream after that and didn't stand a chance, but did make one of your waiters laugh when he came to ask if everything was ok and she said "my ice-cream is too cold" lol 😆 myself and hubby shared the 10 donuts with sauce and once again amazing. Thank you for making us feel so welcome and checking if little girl was ok when she started crying (was enjoying one of our donuts and bit her tongue). Will definitely return next time we are around paignton.

The restaurant looks great and the menu looks great and sounds great in the description. Such a shame when the food appears. More Asda then American. The burger was as flat as the flavour. The children enjoyed it though.

After route 38 closed I was so pleased when I saw this pub on the way to Paignton zoo. Saw the colours and thought no surely that’s not the same as route 38 but oh yes it is ❤️

Come here every month, when ever I eat out and love it. The kids love it. I have always have great food tasty, plenty of choice, fast services, a cracking atmosphere and bets of all the price!!! Love it. One of my favourite places to eat 🥳 I couldn’t think of anything else to do better!

Lovely food from anyone extensive menu. Doggy friendly (on the hard floor). Free parking. Food arrived hot and we were asked how our meals were. Only complaint was that there was too many fries. A suggestion would be to half the portion and pop on some corn or salad?

Lovely meal but really cold in the restaurant. Complained to waitress but made no difference despite all tables around wearing their coats

Food was really nice. Big portion for burgers , chips salad all very nice , chips are thin and crispy just how I like em.. Service was good. Nothing to over the top they leave you to get on with the meal which I like. Atmosphere is relaxed and makes you feel at home ☺️ Squid is perfectly crispy and tender also. And the burgers are reallllll good. We will be back :)

We had breakfast. Rob was amazing as always. Breakfast was amazingly cooked as usual, and we didn't have to wait long. Always recommend Harley's. They have a wide range of food on the menu. I have never had a bad meal.

We popped in here on a family holiday. Huge menu so there's something for everyone. My husband particularly loved the foot of onion rings! I had a perfectly cooked steak, husband had a brisket burger. My daughter's had macaroni cheese and a Memphis hotdog. They ate the lot!

Very impressed. Nowadays I dread eating out due to usually being disaapointed by the food, price, service or all 3! Harleys was clean, friendly, a real eye treat and the food was spot on. Ideal for after the zoo with 2 hungry kids and parents!

Stopped by for lunch today. What a gem of a place. From the friendly greeting and beaming smile from Emily, to the perfectly cooked food from the chef (especially the steak). Nothing was too much trouble. The establishment is very clean and very well cared for. First visit, certainly won’t be our last. Great work team 🇺🇸 P.s. great music too

Brilliant place. Excellent value for money. Very very clean. Great beer. As for the food... Very nice. I had the full rack of ribs and the cheesy brisket. The ribs were amazing and so was the taste of the brisket only thing was a little dry for my liking. But that's just my liking. Apart from that. Brilliant place. Will defiantly be back to Tey the evening menu

The breakfasts are absolutely gorgeous, definitely the best breakfast we have had in donkeys years. The staff are really friendly and helpful. If you haven't tried Harley's you are missing out on a fantastic place.

Utterly delicious food, easily one of the best burgers I've ever had. Staff were very friendly and helpful... even let me have a test of the chilli for spicy heat.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Had a steak which was cooked to perfection and well worth the wait for it all to be freshly cooked to order. Staff are very friendly and don't hover over you whilst you eat which was nice. Well done guys and gals I'm sure we will return again

Excellent place just up from the zoo .. food is amazing and unlike other American diners the potions are massive . Just one note every month they do music bingo so book a seat as it gets busy and the music bing is brill

A large, fun American themed restaurant which aims to cater for everyone, offering an entire kids menu, a vegan menu and an extremely large regular menu with a whole heap of choice. Playing fun music, offering up kids colouring in too, this really is an excellent option for an evening out. Food arrived within about 20 minutes of ordering and staff were friendly. Prices were very reasonable too. Well worth a visit. Harley's also has it's own large carpark.

I might have caught them on an off night. But, my family agreed the best term for this place was "ok". Style over substance and even though we ordered a starter, someone in the kitchen or on the bar taking the order messed up, so we had everything arrive at once. Half of it cold, half of it too hot to eat. We opted to go somewhere else for a dessert as I frankly didn't want to give them any more money. After reading the reviews, we thought we were in for a treat. It was OK. Big portions, but ultimately the food was not good enough that I'd want more of it. As I said, could have been an off day. Won't be returning to see if that was the case.

We loved eating here whilst we were visiting Devon, so much so that we went twice! The food is amazing and portion sizes are very generous. I had the full Rack of Ribs which was heaven. Kids loved it too. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to visit again.

Very average all round. Have to say I was excited about going to an American diner as haven't been to one for a while. Massive menu. Maybe to big rather than concentrate on doing fewer dishes better. Food came out. All was like warm. It just all seemed a bit chef microwave. Mushrooms were all soggy, jalapenos were pretty roar. Chips were very bland which was a shame as normally great in diners. Think they were just a bit under done. I had the peri peri chicken which was ok but again tasted a bit re cooked in a microwave but tasted ok. Other half had a burger which she said was nice. But she said the same about chips. Don't get me wrong it wasn't bad but it just wasn't that great either. Maybe just an off day. Just saying an honest review of how we found our experience.

The best burger I have had out probably ever. Piping hot and extremely tasty. Big portion size and excellent value for money. Too full for dessert! Good service and free parking if you validate your car inside. Would definitely go there again.

Have just had an exceptional dining experience here at Harvey's! Everything was first class. The food was delicious and the service was everything it should be and more! A return visit is definitely on the cards. Well done indeed.

Our first visit for food, and really enjoyed it. Midweek, so not hugely busy. I like the fact that their 'sports' bar is on a different floor, and so eating/socialising is not affected by TV screens etc.

Stopped by for dinner, vast selection of meals available (how much is too much?) and we settled on a burger and a chicken and ribs combo eventually. Food was good value for money and staff is friendly. The music was a bit loud for us but was eventually adjusted, so nothing to complain.

Visited here for the first time and I will definitely come back again. The food was amazing I had the burger with fried chicken,beef brisket bacon and cheese the restaurant in general was really nice and well themed the only thing was customer service could have been a bit better no one came to check on how our food was halfway through or when they came to pick up the empty plates they didn't ask how was your food then either.But other than that I would come back again

Had a fabulous birthday evening with family. Great that there's free parking, just register your number plate at the bar. Brilliant menu, filled up on the main course and was disappointed that I couldn't manage a dessert but next time I'll make sure to leave room!

The staff were brilliant and accommodated us at very short notice. The building and decor are amazing. Food selection is huge including vegan items. The food and drinks we had were very good and tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

We returned after many great meals at Harleys to find that we now could not order what we previously ordered as the menu was no longer in use mid afternoon. Left very disappointed. We went up the road to Maldon and got the great meal we wanted. It’s further to travel but that going to be our Sunday place to go from now on. REPLY TO YOUR ANSWER. We were never even offered the after 4pm menu even when we said what we wanted to order. Steak and Ribs Combo x2. It was a blank refusal by your staff.

Went back this week and yet again the food was superb. We had a full range of meals between us from a piggy sue burger, ribs and chicken wings. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals.. The portions were big enough to not need dessert but the options on the dessert menu were too good to miss.. highly recommended if you like American food/atmosphere..

If you love fish and chips you would be very hard pressed to find anywhere better in the whole of devon. Best there is, best there was and best there has ever been.

You book your car into the site when you enter the building. The waitress/bar staff take your order and bring the food and drinks to your table. The decoration is great and set to a theme. Overall, it was a great place to relax and dine.

Excellent value pub style food by modern day standards seriously spoiled on father's day lunchtime by oh so loud loud horrible continuos heavy metal type tuneless (I'm sure niche interest) music. Like Richard Ingrams said once about Radio 3 in the morning "not everyone wants to listen to Shostakovich when putting their trousers on" . If you like a loud thumping relentless backdrop to a meal then I can serious recommend this for food and value. Personally I will stick to take away from here which is always good.

Great food very busy would advise booking

Food was great, but some staff were miserable. Fly fell into my drink, we asked if we could possibly get a new drink ( which was a cocktail from a machine) they said no. Common courtesy would be to pour your customer a new drink. Owner was just very awkward about it. I will not be returning.

Visited for lunch before zoo. Place was empty. Really disappointed as I thought this was going to be home made great food from reviews. But frozen chips, frozen basic onion rings. Gutted as we all love a proper home made onion ring. My daughter loved the mac & cheese. Burger was average burger with some bbq sauce & cheese on. My son wouldn't eat the hot dog as he said it was chewy. Expected more for £70

Delicious food! Massive portions! Friendly staff. They have a cool sports bar downstairs too which is a bonus. They are also child friendly and dog friendly. We have become regulars here and recommend to all.

Food is definitely not worth the prices. Everything tasted like frozen party food.. very dissatisfied with this.. I definitely do not recommend, especially if going for an American experience, couldn't be any further from this.

Had the chicken mayo came with no mayo had to use my sons steak knife to cut the flat bread very disappointed

My son has azma asked to have a window open and sarcastically got told to open a window and they new the windows didn't open it was hot and stuffy enyone with brethren problems should not visit this bar and grill and staff where rude

Boiling hot, stuffy and air un breathable we asked to open a window and got snide remarks saying if u can open it if u can knowing it was shut

Went to Harleys last night to celebrate our daughters birthday. 8 of us placed on nice big table. The food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. We all ordered something different and we couldn't complain about anything. The staff were lovely and the restaurant welcoming. Cant wait to visit again. Thanks all. Sue and Paul Moody

Absolutely delicious! I am American and was craving BBQ Harleys fit the bill!! Great ribs! Meaty, tender and the sauce was on point. We are definitely going back! Service was quick and the staff very friendly! I will be trying something different next visit. They have a very extensive menu, something for everyone! Fabulous!
