Thank you so much for a great meal,the best curry I have had for a very long time, went into the takeaway explained I had a large truck outside and would they be able to deliver to my truck around the corner of which they did. Great delivery driver spot on food arrived piping hot 🔥🔥 and tasted fantastic. Cannot recommend this place enough and I will 💯 percent be ordering next time I'm in town. All in all. Alex was an amazing host for our bottomless brunch, such a fun and chilled afternoon and never and empty glass! Everyone should take an afternoon off at some point when they are having a tough time at work!! Food options great too 😀

This pub looks good but not on the inside old carpet not cleaned looks very tired and so dose the staff no wheelchair access to the toilet I like to give the best review possible there not much beer on offer

A wonderful warm welcome from Shane and Michael who took over the pub last weekend. We booked a table and had a lovely 2 course meal with a bottle of wine, perfect service and enjoyed the warm and cozy atmosphere of the Old inn. We stayed two nights in the car park in our motor home, spending the days exploring the area on our bikes. On the second day we enjoyed the afternoon coffee and carrot cake offer, and drinks by the log fire in the evening. Lovely pub and perfect hosts.

Was just trying to see about what they do as a Steak meal, for myself and the Wife for my birthday... ... Website is awful, couldn't find specific info, won't bother in future,not just going to turn up on the off chance and hope for the best..... Heard good things,but won't bother if you can't be bothered to encourage people...you obviously don't need our custom anyway!!

We just returned from a four night stay at Bovey Castle. It was a fantastic experience. We had a beautiful and spacious room overlooking the grounds. It was so quiet, we slept with the windows open. We took advantage of the quiet time of year and enjoyed evenings reading by the fire in our choice of great rooms. We also swam, sauna'd and played Petanque. We did falconry with Martin who was great. He is passionate about the birds and very knowledgeable. And we did clay pigeon shooting with Isaac. It was our first time and Isaac made it so much fun for us. The hotel is stunning, as are the grounds. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The area is equally beautiful with woodland walks on the doorstep. It was a great experience and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a UK break that will allow you to unwind and recharge.

Been going to this pub for over 40 years and still my first go to place when visiting Shaldon,

It's a great cafe with lovely ambience. I went for my birthday lunch. Service was good and food arrived promptly. Both my son and I ordered burgers which were ok- a bit bland and coleslaw wasn't great but chips were good. Burgers tasted good once mustard, mayo and ketchup were added. It is a great place for coffee and cake or afternoon tea.

Loved the decor, lovely retro feel. Food was excellent. Highly recommend.

Popped in for a wee but thorough cleaning was under way.

Disappointing visit. We had received a recommendation to have a meal in this pub, but upon arrival it clearly stated that dogs were not welcome "due to food hygiene reasons". This must be one of the very few places in Devon where dogs are not allowed - not even Guide or Assistance dogs (which mine is). Sadly, we left.

Great good and a great Elvis we really enjoyed our evening
