The best restaurants in Teignbridge South West

Went in this morning, had coffee and the nicest cake I have ever tasted!!! Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and wow!!!! The cake!!!!

Stayed at Cofton Camping Site for new year and booked the carvery for 14 of us for NYD and it did not disapoint. We all loved it. Good value and very tasty, infact its one of the best we have been to. When we go back we will be booking again.

Spending a week in Buckfastleigh.Booked an evening table,because the Globe was the only pub doing food.Although dining area was quiet,the food was great,plus some good ale as well.Staff were great and the locals were very friendly Ended up booking a table every night .My brother and I had a great week,thanks to the Globe Inn

Had a moment and wanted to check this great place was open after some confusing social media reports. It’s still there as good as ever and I was pleased to return after a while of me coming when not open. Same great format and food arrived cooked from scratch. I had the small breakfast but I could not clear it all. Great bacon, proper cafe sausage, tasty hash brown and nice mushrooms. I’d ask for fried bread to be separated next time. More expensive than previous but it’s now off beaten track so I’m happy to support it as a local legend. Well worth a proper breakfast outing!!

Very nice cafe tucked away in Newton Abbot, great surroundings, good food, lovely staff. Perfect for a meet up, chat, and of course something to eat fro an excellent menu.

Lost on the Moors during Storm Danagh!! It was my Birthday lunch treat booked in Widdecombe for 12:30 with my husband and a bright but very blustery day....when the road ahead was closed!! We knew no other route from this direction(Bovey) and carefully took the unclosed road!! Thank goodness we soon came to the Kestor Inn in Mannaton!! Inside was a friendly welcome and a beautiful bar!! We called to cancel our lunch booking in Widdecombe and took a table with a gorgeous view to enjoy our drinks of ale and delicious mulled wine🍷🍻!!The carvery looked and smelt delicious for another time,we wanted just a very light nibble so shared a super hot bowl of cheesy chips...perfect!! What a super discovery we enjoyed in the Kestor Inn Mannaton😋😋

Lovely café off the main shopping area. Delicious bacon bap and a drink. Very clean café. Warm welcome from the couple that own or run it. Used to go there about 25yrs ago when i worked in Dawlish, thought I'd try it again today and was impressed. Will def be going back again next time I'm over that way. Prices are excellent. Def 5 stars ✨ from me!! Give it a go too.

Very pleasant visit here, service was really great, cheese scone was amazing! And sat outside on the terrace in the sun, perfect!

Lovely food, is cash only. Very lovely lady at the counter. Good weekend takeaway option. Some more vegetarian options would be nice if possible. Prices are incredible

What a wonderful find. We stumbled across this little beachside eatery as we walked around Teignmouth. We had a fabulous Thai lunch with curry & rice, pad Thai and stir fried noodles. We enjoyed this whilst sat with a view of the estuary on back beach. The owner was delightful and wanted to photograph our food for her Facebook page. A truly enjoyable lunch and very reasonably priced. Just £9 for a main course with rice or noodles. If I had one of theses locally, I would be there 3 times a week

We all enjoyed a tasty, reasonably priced breakfast. Service took a while but that was explained to us and they were very busy. Good sized portions; my Eggs Royale (with smoked salmon) was delicious. Quite a noisy space, difficult to hear at times, again, probably due to how busy there were. Easy to park (and free!) Not sure where the ‘Italian’ theme has come from?

The best ‘sandwiches’ in town, although they come out as lovely baguettes. Good choice, packed with quality ingredients, made fresh while we waited. Gave us a chance to check out the deli itself, amazing cheese selection, lots of biscuits, drinks including local brews, and all manner of ingredients for the cooks among us. Would like to see more breads on sale. And they have a cafe included too, must try it soon. Quality throughout. Well done Jeremy and team.

Went to get some food but couldn’t pay because they only accept cash. This is fine, although annoying, I can take my custom elsewhere. However when the staff openly put you down in front of other customers saying “what is this world coming to” I was pretty upset. You do you bocadillo but don’t openly judge and put down customers for living in the modern world.

Fantastic little pizzeria, great food, service and ambiance. Only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday though so check opening hours before you visit.
