We had the Sunday carvery, and as per the last time we were there, it was absolutely delicious! Great selection of meats and accompaniments, all fresh, hot and tasty. The pork crackling literally melts in your mouth, the beef was cooked perfectly, the gammon was juicy and tender and the cauliflower cheese was amazing! It’s great value for money, and they have a selection of desserts to choose from - the New York baked cheesecake and Oreo cheesecake are a must try! The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Richard, who was great with my daughter and nothing was too much trouble. We will back again on our next holiday to Cofton!

Having been to Cofton hundreds of times (almost) in the past the food for a few years went down hill but to be fair was relatively close to the end of the pandemic but the last few times we have been we have found the food to be fantastic!! Credit where it is due!!

We waited 50 minutes for nachos, a goats cheese/beetroot burger and a beef burger on the fourth night of our holiday. It was nice, but we thought expensive and quite small. Served in bamboo bowls with wooden cutlery so it felt more like a bar meal than a restaurant meal. On the last night of our holiday I waited one whole hour for an ice cream sundae! When my Husband asked the barman if he could find out where it was, he said the order was just on the side and no one had done it. We didn’t understand this because we had ordered it via their online app, which is what you have to do because of COVID.

Our best friends travelled down from Bridgwater to pay us a visit as they always do when we are holidaying at Cofton. We asked where they would like to spend lunch and they asked if we could dine here (as usual). The main meal, dessert, friendly service and enjoyment of dining here was up to the consistency that we are used to. Compliments to them for not allowing the standards to drop at all from the high level they have set.

Our first visit to Cofton of 2019 and it was as usual a warm welcome back from Stuart,Richard and Adam. Enjoyed a pleasant meal and drinks in the dog friendly Swan pub on the Friday evening. Sunday is our favourite day as we can enjoy probably the best carvery in Devon. As soon as our Bridgwater friends knew we were here they travelled down to spend the carvery meal with us. Consistently great food at reasonable cost. Our next visit is hopefully not to far away. Regards Richard & Carol Pearson.

We go to Cofton every year in our caravan- we spend the days walking over the hill to Dawlish warren and then usually into dawlish itself. At the end of the day we have a good swim and then into the restaurant for some good reliable pub style grub - staff are usually young and enthusiastic and we always retire well happy with life - drink is reasonably priced!

Had a Christmas party menu here. Food was well below my expectations for £25 per person. Priced as a decent restaurant but sadly a long way from delivering in all aspects! Food was poor quality a bit of turkey ruffled up to look more, roast potatoes and sprouts on the plate to fill it up!! Stuffing was a greasy slab. Vegetables came out all mixed up in dishes a good 5 to 8 minutes before the main course. Hence cold by the time we helped ourselves. No extra gravy boats on the table or indeed offered. Cranberry sauce served in jam jars on the tables. No starter or bread roll served. Cheese and biscuits to follow which was ok if you like broken crackers, cheap butter portions and chutney served in a paper cup! A garnish of stringy celery on the side but no grapes or apple. Waiting staff appeared to be chaotic with poor organisation. For some reason they wore white gloves? I was more suspicious about the reason why? Than impressed!! No sign of a maitre d hotel and indeed no one came over to check if everything was ok. Those that opted for the dessert said it was small but ok. Lots of staff behind the bar chatting. Table was nicely presented with crackers but no flowers or party poppers. Entertainment was a disco again very average, no games or quiz.

This must be the best Sunday carvery around. Can be enjoyed not just by the holidaymakers but also nearby residents flock in. You have the excellent Frank carving your choice of the ‘meats’. This was recommended to me and being a fairly new touring caravan owner I was a tad apprehensive but no need to have been, apart from an "interesting" hill or two the welcome was brilliant, they showed he where to go and his best to park, the rest of the stay was brilliant, could have been better for dog owners as the only seating place for us was typically pub and could and should have been a lot nicer, the dog walking field was fab but miles away from where we were so ashamed to say we took the car there...yea....I know!!! Will definitely go back again

The facilities here are perfect for families. The entertainment is in every evening, the Chippy on site was very good. The cream teas from the restaurant especially sitting on the large terrace overlooking the pool went down a treat. Indoor & outdoor pools, pub on site and 5 fishing lakes. Definitely recommend and looking at coming back next summer with friends.

Just returned from 2 wks at Cofton in our tourer caravan. Site is absolutely huge, family run & very well organised. We stayed on the 'hilly' side of the 2 areas on a super pitch, which is at the very top of the hill. Its no easy task towing the caravan up the hill nevermind navigating the narrow lanes & pitch was up a slight incline. Shower block was newly refurbed & was superb. Site was v busy & had lots to do for kids of all ages. Well stocked shop, nice pub & couple of restaurants serving nice meals at reasonable prices. Our kids enjoyed the outdoor pool & we walked a few times to Dawlish Warren Beach which took around 30 mins. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a family. Few minor gripes - cars onsite drive far too quickly (not the sites fault) & super pitches need to be re-designed - remove the dividing walls as they're just decorative & serve no purpose at all except for scratching the underside of our caravan when leaving & made it difficult to get on/off pitch. Relocating the tap/drain to the back of the pitch as the angle was such that unless you had a motor mover it was almost impossible to hook up & we needed help from our friendly neighbours to get on & off our pitch. I would stress that this absolutely did not spoil the holiday but just points to raise to the owners to make which would make it so much easier when getting on & off the tricky super pitches. Having said that, we had a lovely 2 weeks and would definitely recommend to anyone.

Just back from a few nights camping at Cofton, would definitely go back. The toilet and shower facilities are warm and clean and there is so much to do on site which was really handy considering the poor weather. The shop is well stocked and if you are hungry you have four places on site to get food from. We had lunch at the swan which was really nice and the chips from the take away were excellent. If you have mobility issues I recommend asking to be pitched lower down the hill, my husband and I were right at the top of one of the hills and it was a killer to walk up and down every day. Apart from the nightmare hill which lets face it, it's the countryside so its gonna happen the site was brilliant, we had a great walk through the woods to Dawlish Warren and a great stay in general. Would highly recommend.

We went here because we got a voucher for a free stay when we bought our new caravan. It is not the sort of place we would normally choose to visit, but we thought it was worth a go. The site is well-run and clean, the showers and toilets were good and we did get a space on the edge looking out over a green field and woods. It is very much a 'holiday park', with all the bells and whistles that go with that, but it was fine as a base to explore the area (which we know well anyway). Dawlish Warren is very touristy, but there were some nice walks around the area.

The grass was very muddy if we had put the car on I think it would have been very hard to get off, As we did not us an awning we parked on the hardcore. the toilet block & showers were good & there was a play park & Donkeys in a field for the children. Not so Happy Holidays. Have stayed here four times on same pitch. Pitched up last night etc. Phone call from park while we were out, telling us to come back and move since they had double booked. We booked last October. They were rude and demeaning to us. Have recommended the site loads of times. Never again. Why should we move because they double booked. They have two pitches with the same number. Expected us to move to other one. Why couldn't the newcomer go to the other pitch? I am so upset and cross. Have had a very trying year and was looking forward to a few days away and leaving my troubles at home. They were rude and horrible. We have left since I was too upset to stay and felt threatened by them ganging up on me.

We have just returned from a 5 day break at Cofton near Dawlish and it was wonderful. We have been to Cofton several times over the years and it just gets better every time. There is so much more to do now than there used to be. They have an amazing indoor pool, which is supervised to ensure safety. You can watch the swimmers from the comfort of the restaurant or the terrace (if the weather allows) while you have a coffee and a chocolate muffin which are amazing. In the summer you may prefer the outdoor pool. There is nightly entertainment to suit all ages. You can enjoy a delicious home-cooked breakfast r even a carvery on a Sunday but whatever you choose the food is great and well worth trying. The shop has so much to offer from the daily paper to a coffee, general groceries, camping equipment, gifts, toys or just those extras to go fishing at the onsite fishing Lake. There is something for all ages, the campsite has areas for Motorhomes with electric hook-ups, aerial points and even water stands on the Super Pitches. You can take a tent and camp on the field with the apple trees, you have the choice of electric hook-ups too.Cofton also have chalets and Caravans you can hire. It is a family friendly park that caters for all age groups. There is a chip shop, launderette, clean showers, play areas for children as well as the relaxation of the pond with the sound of the birds and ducks in the background,Dogs can also have a good holiday as long as they are well behaved. They must be kept on a lead in the park but there is a fabulous area where you can let your dog enjoy some exercise.A great holiday ca be had by all at Cofton and I know we will definitely be returning again soon.

My partner and I came here with family on a Sunday, the men took one of the children swimming while I sat with the mother and newborn watching from the cafe through the window. Its a really great space and layout and you can see over the entire pool from a few of the tables. Coffee was perfect, staff have obviously had barista training. They had soya milk which a lot of places still for some reason fail to provide. Staff were all but 1 so so lovely, extremely helpful and on the ball at all times. If you work in hospitality you could do with taking notes from these people on their customer service skills :) My one and only issue was there was only one vegan option on the menu and we had all specifically come for a roast which at most places I can still eat my heart out of all the veg and potatoes, but all the veg had butter poured over it and the potatoes had beef dripping :( I asked the chef if it was possible to get some veg without butter and he said 'We do not serve vegan food' I said to him I understand but when the next batch of veg is made could I just have some set aside before you put butter on it and he quite firmly said 'No, its pre made, we don't serve vegan food' so I returned to my seat and a few minutes later was called back over and the chef pointed out the few dishes of veg that were in fact not covered in butter but I didn't really fancy a plate of carrots and stuffing. I was annoyed with the way he handled my request more than the fact that I couldn't eat my roast. The rest of the family enjoyed their roast and nut roasts thoroughly so I can not fault the quality of the food. I had another amazing coffee instead and cooked myself a roast when I returned home. It was, overall in my opinion a perfect place to go for a dip and dine with the kids. The facilities are very clean and modern and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to families with small children.

I've just come back from my first visit to Cofton Country Holiday park. I was very impressed by the on site facilities & the standard of the Caravan that we stayed in. We stayed in one of their "Studio" caravans and whilst it was one of the oldest caravans on site, it was extremely well specified for a caravan with leather sofa's, decking, decent size flat screen TV, central heating, dish washer etc.It is handy for public transport with the GWR railway line just 1 and a half miles away and bus stops on the main road outside the camp. It's also located close to the M5 motorway & Exeter. The staff were all helpful & friendly, everything was clean. We were well looked after during our stay.

Just returned home from an 8 day holiday at this fab site with our touring caravan. On entering the site we could see that the site a well maintained by the staff due to the amount of lovely flowers and immaculate landscaping (they always seemed to be in full bloom)! We were booked in by the receptionist and shown to our pitch relatively quickly, considering it was the first week of the school hols. We had a super pitch which was directly behind the laundrette and fishing tackle shop, this was flat and close to the toilet/shower blocks. I don't think I'd like to be up on the top of the site as it could be a bit breezy. The toilets were cleaned at least twice a day and if there was an issue, the maintenance team would sort it straight away. The site is spotlessly clean and is constantly being kept that way by the super friendly staff (we have never been to a site that all the staff were really polite at any time of the day and looked happy in their jobs, if they weren't, they are very good actors ). We used Amelia's Pantry on a few occasions for breakfast, which will set you up for the day and for evening dinner (which they have different offers each night of the week, we took advantage of the steak night on Monday which was superb). The food was excellent and prices weren't too bad considering it's on site. We also used The Swan Pub a couple of times just for a few evening drinks (again the prices are no different to a normal pub). We never used the entertainment room as such, as when we turned up (21:45) it was all over, which we thought was a little early, so we just stayed and had a few drinks and listened to the music. There was plenty of stuff for young kids to do, day and evening. There are a few parks on site for younger children, who seemed to love them. The noise levels on site were lowered by 22:30pm around the area where we were. The security guys were fab, patrolling every evening to make sure noise was kept to a low level at night, they also had a very good sense of humour and we're always cheerful , instead of the usual 'heavies' that patrol other sites we've been on.We never used the indoor pool as we were lucky enough to have fab weather and used the outdoor pool, which was always clean in and out. The indoor pool has also a charge for usage. The site shop has virtually everything you need, even had a good selection of camping accessories if you damage or require anything. The site is in a good location for venturing out, Dawlish Warren 5 mins by car, Dawlish town 10 mins, Exeter is about 20 mins by car. If you like a bit of shopping there's Trago Mills in Newton Abbot, which is about 25 mins away, everything there, from paint, clothes, garden centre, outdoor section which sells all sporting activities etc. Cheapest fuel around also at their garage. Overall this is a fabulous family holiday park for all ages, so much so we booked again for the same week next year! Can't wait to return!

Superb campsite, loads to do on site including the indoor and outdoor pools plus some excellent "Super Pitches" The location of this site makes South Devon so accessible, 30 minutes to Torquay and surrounding areas such as Babbacombe.

Bar over priced, shame because the site is great, would recommend a walk to the Ship Inn just down the road, beer and wine much better and cheaper.

We stopped for four days at Cofton - It's the complete site for camping , caravans or whatever your mode of transport. We camped out in the orchard field which was literally seconds from all amenities. It's clean and tidy and has everything you need without leaving the site ! Swimming , pubs , bars , shop , fish and chip shop ( and they were very nice indeed). Plus a walk around the fishing lakes is very pleasant indeed. If you want a beer or food offsite then Starcross has a couple of good pubs within 10 minutes walk and a Sainsbury's within 5 minutes. All in all we enjoyed it very much :-)

We had a carvery which was about the right price for the quality. As seems normal now, the big draw back was the food was served on cold plates and the food apart from the meat and potatoes, was luke warm. Cannot complain about the quantity and quality of the meat and there was a good range of food. The food at this restaurant was not cheap for a holiday venue but overall it was reasonable value,

This is the second long weekend my family have camped at Crofton Farm. The staff are absolutely first-class. I asked for high tide times for a beach an hour away and it was immediately googled and I was handed a print-out. The toilet/showers are beautifully kept. Good-sized pitches. Electric points great - no cut-outs and easy access to the trip switch in any event. Great cafe, swimming pool, grounds, etc. A great stay and we'll be back again next year.

Grandsons 9th birthday party. Great fun, swim and then food. Swimming was perfect, eleven kids and all of them enjoyed it. The food was on the table when we got out of the pool. We opted for the buffet. It was plentiful and very good. Pizza ,chips, sausage rolls, sandwiches and some carrots and cucumber.Could not believe how many cup cakes and other cakes were supplied for dessert. We have visited before for a swim and a roast on a Sunday, also excellent.

After a nice swim in their lovely pool, you get use their cafe which has a good choice of snacks and meals, assorted cake and and a good drink menu. The seating area is comfortable and great for meeting friends or sitting quietly reading a paper or watching the TV..I love to go there on a sunny day as they have a really nice outdoor seating area. Good service too.

Excellent well kept campsite with loads of facilities. We went out of school holidays so there weren't that many people which was good for us. We imagine that in school holidays it would not be very relaxing for a couple, but this review is about when WE went. The showers gave continuous hot water (no pressing buttons all the time) and the toilets were generally very clean. Occasionally the toilets were a bit dirty but this is more to do with the campers rather than the management and it seems that they were checked and clean every few hours and one can't ask for more than that.Wonderful for dogs with large fields with plenty of rabbits to chase. We will definitely return, out of season.

This is the second time we have been to this site. As it is the height of summer it is very crowded. The outdoor pool is nice and the kids love it, however the amount if space to sit and watch you her children in the pool is limited and gets extremely crowded. It is also very noisy in the evenings and our grandchildren found it difficult to sleep. We are used to sites where there are notice boards asking people to keep the noise down after 9pm. It has meant the children have been tired. The restaurant is ok but expensive for the quality of food served. However I would say they put on lots for kids to do so they are well catered for

This site has it all - outdoor pool/indoor pool/pub/shop/restaurant/chip shop etc..etc.. and provides a really good base for exploring this area. It's a very pleasant walk through the woods to Dawlish Warren or, in the other direction to the Shipp Inn or the Anchor (recommended for great food).Dawlish itself felt a bit run down but lots of nice places are just a short drive away (worth a trip to Shaldon which is beautiful). We were staying in a static caravan which was well equipped and comfortable. One rather bizarre policy is that picnic tableas are allocated randomly to the caravans - we were woken at 8am one morning to see our picnic table being taken away! - we reported this to reception who told us that the policy is that if you want a table you can just take one from outside any other caravan - we found this rather odd and I imagine could cause some arguments amongst holidaymakers!Apart from that, we had a lovely time.

It is always an enjoyable experience coming to No Limits in Newton Abbot (Devon). I have food allergies and they have a fabulous menu that can cater for so many whether that be allergies, coeliacs or vegan. I really like their ‘pay it forward’ scheme which helps provide food and drinks for people who are having a difficult time. Most importantly, it is brilliant that they are providing opportunities for people with various needs and it’s a pleasure to be served by such enthusiastic and happy staff :-)

If you go to Bovey Tracey a visit to Old cottage tea shop is a must. What an absolutely delightful tea room. Old fashioned charm at its best. Good old fashioned menu. It's like having lunch at Grandma's. An absolute must visit.

A lovely pub with friendly staff and good food, served swiftly and efficiently. We had been on a long uphill walk to get there, and were very glad to be able to sit at a window table and look at the wonderful view. Will definitely return when we are in the area again. There was a huge log fire in the other room which would be great to sit near on a cold winter day.
