The Leisure Lounge in Teignbridge

We all enjoyed a tasty, reasonably priced breakfast. Service took a while but that was explained to us and they were very busy. Good sized portions; my Eggs Royale (with smoked salmon) was delicious. Quite a noisy space, difficult to hear at times, again, probably due to how busy there were. Easy to park (and free!) Not sure where the ‘Italian’ theme has come from?

A very nice place for a typical British breakfast or brunch. As previously mentioned, it is in a lovely setting overlooking the racecourse. A little difficult to find, but very well worth a bit of effort. Great menu choices. We opted for a Brekkie Roll, tea and coffee. Our friends chose various options without any disappointments. All swiftly delivered to your table. Nice quality products, cooked extremely well and all sensibly priced. Will certainly be treating ourselves again soon.

You always know it is fresh because it is always cooked for you so you don’t mind waiting a few minutes and the prices are very reasonable

Popped in for breakfast, it is located round the side of the gym, large free car park. Wonderful views of the racecourse, and I was especially lucky as a sunny morning. Tables inside and out, large windows, my breakfast was a good size and value for money. I was unsure if orders taken at table or the counter, (placed at counter and pay) Staff friendly and food arrived freshly cooked reasonably quick, overall I was pleased and would go again.

I’m loathe to recommend this lovely place because it’s busy enough! The coffee is excellent and the food is delicious and portion sizes are generous. It’s good value for money too. The added bonuses are there’s free parking, they welcome dogs and there is a great view of the racecourse. The welcome is always lovely even though they are really busy. Highly recommended.

Just been for the first time today. What a lovely spot! We had breakfast. Absolutely delicious. Staff really friendly. Could do with a few sun umbrellas, just an observation!

We have ordered food from the leisure cafe a few times now from breakfast to burgers it is consistently good, very easy to order and the food is great

I ordered an afternoon tea box for my grandparents as a surprise treat during lockdown. Food was fantastic, great price and really helpful organising and delivering as we live away. Thank you we highly recommend.

We go here a lot as it’s close to home and very good food, can have breakfast til 2pm and a good menu choice, nice helpful staff too

It's a great place to get good food for a reasonable price. We are regular visitors and always enjoy our meals here. There is a great view of the racecourse at Newton Abbot and you can usually get a table although at busy times that might be a squeeze. That shows the popularity of the place any day of the week. The staff are always friendly and attentive even though at busy times thay are under pressure to meet demand. The only thing I might complain about is the draughty doorway that keeps opening and blowing people sideways in the cafe on windy days. Something needs to be done about that. A great little cafe in the grounds of Winners Gym Kingsteignon. We love it.

This is a popular café for people of all ages and offers a choice of good value meals, the staff are cheerful and helpful. It's possible to sit outside with a dog. There's a good outlook over the racecourse.

Immaculately clean, good location with excellent views. Pleasant and attentive staff. Excellent menu at fair price. Nicely presented and good quality. You need to visit!

This really is a hidden gem,nothing austentatious but really inviting clean and bright environment.Great view from our table over Newton Abbot Racecouse.Great variety of breakfasts to suit all appetites, I went for the mega breakfast,freshly cooked to order really great value for money.Glanced the menu lunch choises from Sandwiches to a variety of mains,also to cater for the youngsters a child menu all reasonably priced.Staff helpful and attentive.Lots of parking with level access.We will be back.

This venue is ideal for a catch up with friends and family for a lunch date reasonable prices for a varied menu

Was offered a tandoori chicken salad which not usually on the menu but was absolutely worth it. Really well dressed, chicken cooked just right, highly recommended. Real find! And the staff were all very attentive and friendly. Definite comeback.

Excellent food freshly cooked - mostly by Tony I think - to order and served by lovely ladies. Highly recommended.

Have heard lotsofgood reports about this lovely cafe/ lounge. Tried it today for the first time. Had the all day breakfast. Everything cooked fresh. A little wait but very well worth it. Looking at what other people had had, we are looking forward to coming back and trying other items off the menu. What a busy little place.

This place was a great find but can be quite hard to find - when you're driving down Greenhill Way you need to look for signs for Winners 2000 Fitness and follow them as it is just next door. The food was delicious and reasonably priced - what you see in picture cost £11.50. The food is local produce and made a great start to the day. Highly recommend!

After a disappointing breakfast at a local eatery we had our second days breakfast here. Tucked away down a lane near the racecourse. Friendly staff, huge breakfast. Obviously a great meeting place for Athletes, yummy mummy's and grandparents. Freshly cooked to order. Great poached eggs with my bacon. Will def return when I am in the area next.

He tenido más cosas en el menú como mi amigo y yo vamos allí con regularidad, normalmente para el almuerzo. Siempre comida encantadora, fresco por Tony. Excelente relación calidad-precio. Muy bien parada si se corta el Hackney , pantanos. Magníficas vistas de Newton Abbot de carreras.

If you want a coffee or tea with some cake, breakfast, light snack, sandwich or a main meal, this is the place to go. Everything is cooked fresh to order, by its chef Tony. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. Good value for money.

El salón de ocio es conseguir cada vez más popular, no es sorprendente ya que la calidad y precio de la comida es excelente. Tony, el dueño y chef utiliza ingredientes locales de calidad recién preparado para cada cliente. Hemos ido a este lugar por unos 3 años (en su mayoría para el brunch) y no puedo quejarme de la comida. Hay mesas afuera en clima ideal para senderistas perro y ciclistas. Los clientes son muy variadas, incluso hemos visto equipo de fútbol torquay reino allí para el desayuno de navidad! La vista de las carreras hace un su tranquilo p! Ace para parar y beber un buen café. Puede conseguir un poco de calor y ruido si pic pero esto es debido al tipo de edificio. Nos encanta el ambiente amable.

Been here a few times now for cooked breakfast and I would highly recommend them for that, but today I went with my son for a steak meal and the steak was stone cold in the middle and very bloody even though I had stressed to please make sure it's not red, my sons steak was mainly grisle and fat, I hardly touched my meal and my son left alot of his and although I explained to them that it was the worst steak meal I ever had they just apologised. £15.00 wasted and had to go and pay for lunch elsewhere. TERRIBLE WAY TO TREAT CUSTOMERS

Freshly cooked food at very good prices, from a menu with plenty of choice. There are also daily specials. Always look forward to going here. It is easily accessible for wheelchairs and there is a disabled toilet just inside the gym entrance.

La primera vez que estuvimos aquí cuando pertenecientes al gimnasio. Todos son bienvenidos, sin embargo es un pequeño escondite cafe bien lejos de la ciudad o cualquier tiendas. Grandes ventanas dan hacia el hipódromo de Newton Abbot, que es muy agradable. La comida bastante normalita, pero preparada como usted espera. No sándwiches agradable de su elección así como comida casera. Comer en mesas o sentarse en cómodos sofás con café y tarta. También para sentarse afuera. Recomendado.

We go here a lot for brunch. They do an excellent full English, and are very good at the perfect poached egg. I have also had the Cottage pie which is sometimes on the specials board. My partner has had various salads and they look lovely. Plenty on the menu to choose from and a great view across the racecourse and beyond. All in all a great little place with good food and good service.

Food is freshly cooked and tasty. Friendly staff and a lovely location. We go regularly and are never disappointed. When there is a nice day there is outside seating which is also useful if you stop by after a dog walk

Visited here this morning , had an amazing breakfast , good quality food , no cheap sausages , poached eggs cooked to perfection !! Service good , friendly staff . Added extra beautiful views across Newton abbot and the racecourse !! Reasonable prices too !! Well worth a visit , oh and omelettes to die for

Just popped in after walk along new trail out to Hackney Marshes for coffee, but the food was so good and the value was first rate. All the staff very friendly and the position is great over looking the racecourse. Highly recommended.

Been here twice now and both times were great! Fast service and food is great. Good quality ingredients. What I particularly like about here is that it's very clean and tables are cleared quickly which for me is very important. Even the Chef got a nice smile and friendly!I would recommend this place for every age and has a very mixed clientele from young to the more mature.Will defiantly return

I was recommended this cafe buy a friend who said if I wanted a tasty big good value quick meal to come here . Although the prices are very good I can't complain, the food was a disaster .tasteless over cooked and dry sadly I won't be returning :(

Lived in Kingsteignton for almost 5 years and only just recently found out about this lovely café! The food is absolutely amazing and with even better prices! Lovely kind staff and the home made cakes are to die for! An absolute must if your around the area!

Excellent family run business a must for great food ,friendly staff and fantastic prices. Set right by the racecourse parking available outside seating area a definite must!!

Heard about this place so decided to try it for lunch. Seemed quite busy but with a good atmosphere. Varied menu at very reasonable prices. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food tasted amazing and was I not disappointed. Good value for money. I cannot wait to return.

Have been going to this cafe for ages and it never fails to come up with excellent well cooked fresh food. The view over the racecourse through ceiling to floor windows sets this place aside from many others. Family run, you will have to wait for your food as it is prepared fresh but as the place is invariably busy it has hit on a formula that many others fail to achieve. Prices are very, very reasonable and a place for all ages. My 85 year old mum to the grandchildren have all eaten here and love the atmosphere.
