The best restaurants in Teignmouth East Teignbridge South West

Went to get some food but couldn’t pay because they only accept cash. This is fine, although annoying, I can take my custom elsewhere. However when the staff openly put you down in front of other customers saying “what is this world coming to” I was pretty upset. You do you bocadillo but don’t openly judge and put down customers for living in the modern world.

My partner and I had a half day in Teignmouth whilst staying at nearby Torquay. On arrival we visited this coffee shop and weren’t disappointed. Great coffee, a good choice of cakes and a lovely window seat. What more could we ask for before exploring the town.

Very friendly staff and lovely food. Gave us free baileys and bagged up our leftover food to take home (we ordered far too much!)

Had 2 x large cod and chips, mushy peas and curry sauce here on our first night here. £34. The fish was massive and really tasty and the chips were spot on not all soft or dried out. Nice to get a proper hearty portion. Well done friendly staff and great food we will definitely be back. We'll wort the money

Always good food here

Great atmosphere for a beer and to eat your fish and chips from Mr Chips next door. They even have cutlery and condiments. Dog and child friendly.

Very disappointed, here for a celebration but online menu did not match actual menu. We were here for cocktails. The only accompaniment they could find were salted peanuts. We are locals we deserve better!

Really good chai lattes and good customer services provided by them always cheers me up talking to the staff it is a wonderful cafe

Excellent evening with us sharing a meat and seafood platter for starters, which was just fantastic. . The steaks were cooked to order and melt in the mouth. The seafood risotto, which I asked for, Al dente...was perfect. Definitely recommend and will be visiting again Antonio (chef/owner) was very friendly and accommodating... lovely evening all around. 5*****

Fish and chips sign outside is unclear of advertised price as rubbed away from window. Fish and chips soggy and a weird taste to the batter

The best fish & chips in as long as I can remember. The fish was as fresh as you could wish for and the taste / texture of the batter was first class. Great team at the counter who couldn't have been more friendly. Thank you very much!

Crinkle cut oven chips should never be served at a seaside chippy!
