Wow stayed in July and enjoyed every minute of our stay have stayed in Whitby before but couldn't get booked in here so when saw a room available we jumped at it. Can honestly say it didn't disappoint lovely comfortable bed room was plenty big enough with lovely hospitality tray. Waking up to the view of the harbour and the lovely friendly staff. Would say we enjoyed it that much I've just managed to get us booked back in for my birthday and can't wait I love Whitby but have definitely found my go to place to stay. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We visit this pub every time we stay in Whitby. The bar staff are friendly, efficient and accommodating and there are a variety of ales and cider on draught. They serve snacks but you can take your own takeaway food in. Live music is always great here too. One of the gems of Whitby.

They have some lovely independant beers that are decent prices. But what I love the most is it lets you bring your fish and chips into the pub, provided you buy a pint.. Still, a great idea. Will definately come again the Rhubarb cider was lovely.

Party of three, went in simply because we were struggling to decide where to eat and we found ourselves there. Entered to discover that beyond a bit of Tapas they don't do food, however was informed by the gentleman behind the bar that they're okay with people bringing their own fish and chips in. We decided to take that option, bought drinks and brought food down from the chippy just a few doors up. The chap serving us was excellent, fantastic customer service and very friendly without being invasive as you often find them. The place itself, great. Quiet, and I mean that in a good way. And the drinks? Definite contender for the best gin and tonic I've ever had. Actual fresh rhubarb pieces in my rhubarb gin! Very impressed, will certainly pop in again next time in the area.

We went in to this pub on a Thursday afternoon, when we first went in we got a welcome from a lady behind the bar, we ordered drinks and two meals. after sitting down we realised that the chef was sitting in the bar drinking, we also noticed that the pub had a smell that wasn't very pleasant and the table was sticky. by this time we had already ordered and paid for the meal. We ordered a roast lamb dinner and a surf and turf. The roast dinner consisted of a few chunks of lamb which tasted like it had been cooked a few day ago and had been sitting in the fridge and reheated, it was hard and had no taste and the portion was tiny, there was 2 small roast potatoes and two small new potatoes which looked like they come out of a tin! there was one small Yorkshire pudding and 4 frozen vegetables, peas, carrots, runner beans and Brussel sprouts. the plate was mainly full of frozen veg, I ate the two roast potatoes and the Yorkshire pudding but the rest of the meal was not edible. the surf and turf was even worse, the steak was grey, my husband asked for medium, but I'm sure the chef has never trained as a chef as the steak looked like it was cooked in a warm pan and was grey all the way through, if I ask for steak I expect it to be brown on the outside and pink but no blood on the inside, the scampi was either not cooked or out of date, it tasted awful, there was mushrooms and frozen peas, the mushroom were all shriveled up, they looked like they was about two weeks old, the chips were frozen and were all bitty, looked like the end of the bag. unfortunately this was the worst meal we have ever had and we eat out a lot. i never write reviews but this has may me want to let other people know how bad it is and not to go in there, i think they should stop serving food!!

Do not be put off by appearences, this welcoming, friendly little pub does not look much from the outside, but served good pub food at reasonable prices. The landlord was very welcoming and realising that we had a 2yr old with us, he told us about the childrens menu and the childrens meal deal. My son's food was bought first, always a winner. The food was reasonably priced and good sized portions. When we spilt a drink (the 2nd one that day!), the landlord was there with a towel to mop it up. Taking a 2yr old out for lunch can be stressful, but I did not feel this at all in The Endeavour. We will deifinately be visiting again.
