The Crab Shack in Teignmouth is a fantastic spot for seafood lovers, offering fresh, locally-sourced dishes with a beautiful view of the estuary. I had the mussels, and they were simply outstanding—plump, perfectly cooked, and served in a rich, flavorful sauce that was perfect for dipping with crusty bread. The restaurant has a cozy, laid-back vibe with friendly staff who make you feel right at home. Reservations are recommended as it’s a popular spot, especially around sunset when you can enjoy the beautiful views over the water. If you're in Teignmouth, The Crab Shack is a must-visit for a memorable seafood experience.

Very attentive young lady greeted us and then took our order. The service was done by the young lady and a young chap who were very friendly ,polite and happy. The food and drinks were excellent with my wife having pancakes and myself a bacon butty. Great place to eat with the bonus you can take your dog in.

This is a little gem in Teignmouth! Very understated from outside, but once inside the staff are in full customer care mode. We were greeted by friendly bar staff who explained our table wasn’t ready, however we could have a drink at the bar. All good for us as we enjoy a relaxed dining style. No stress. We were shown to our table and the menu explained. We knew it’s was tapas but the waiter explained the rough number of dishes to order as a couple. We ate everything from the standard tapas dish, Patatas Bravas, to a gorgeous Chicken dish with Thyme & Lemon, Chorizo in red wine, Lobster Arancini and Goats Cheese. Every dish was really lovely and felt like a unique experience in the area. We didn’t experience the cocktails, but finished dinner with a liquor coffee. The bill was a pleasant surprise too as we were estimating a lot more! Would recommend and will definitely be returning when back visiting family in Teignmouth later in the year. Thank you all!

My partner and I had a half day in Teignmouth whilst staying at nearby Torquay. On arrival we visited this coffee shop and weren’t disappointed. Great coffee, a good choice of cakes and a lovely window seat. What more could we ask for before exploring the town.

What the actual hell has just turned up at my door? We ordered the finish and chips with a description of cod and chips with a blistered lemon and homemade tartar sauce, sausage and chips, onion rings and doughnuts. It turns up as 2x frozen battered fish fillets from a supermarket. Tasted like utter rubbish. My daughter’s sausage was cheap, nasty and burnt. Doughnuts eww! Greasy and nasty! Tried to contact restaurant but went straight to voicemail. Complained via just eat for a refund. Absolutely disgusted. All they needed to do was contact me to state they have no fish and chips as funnily enough we checked the just eat menu after and the fish and chips had been removed. I’d avoid purely on the basis of integrity. People like that don’t deserve a penny from hardworking people in these difficult times. My order was £52 so I’d better get it back! I’ll never use this outlet again!
