Order online as the bar lady doesn’t speak English. Placed a take away order at the bar. I had to repeat everything about four times. I asked her how long the wait would be, didn’t understand at all so I had to give up. She couldn’t even say my name - ‘Graham’ is hardly exotic. Order came after 25 mins drove home with it and one of the burgers is completely the wrong one, not only that it is something I don’t like at all. Now it could be a kitchen mess up, but given that the lady at the bar struggled with basic English, that seems more likely. Quite simply get staff who can speak English or put them in a non-customer facing position as this has ruined my evening and wasted my money.

This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. Don't let the size of the venue put you off, the food was amazing, everything cooked fresh. Mo was very friendly and attentive. A big shout out to the chef, working so hard in the background making the delicious food, and Mo at front of house, what a great team! We would strongly recommend this restaurant. Great value for a delious meal. Remember to take cash!

This is a traditional, independantly owned cafe which was welcoming and unpretentious. The menu was mainly fried food but my husband had a breakfast and my friend and I had a greek burger. It was all piping hot, good quality ingredients and a thoroughly enjoyable occasion. Reasonably priced and would ceratinly go again.

We booked a table for early evening and explained we had a child in our party. They were fantastic and put our minds at rest. The lobster lounge is a cosy, calm lounge, lit by warm yellow fairy lights. The lady who served us was efficient and explained the menu fantastically. She was incredibly knowledgeable about both wine and food. Our food was delicious. We chose two of the meat dishes with several plates of tapas. Both the lamb and pork were delicious. We enjoyed lobster arancini and a mushroom tapas. Our daughter loved the prawn pil pil. We had a very enjoyable evening and can't wait to go back ! Thank you.

We came for a breakfast after looking at reviews, we usually go to a well known cafe on Shaldon side but thought we would switch it up. Staff were friendly and nice coffee. However the small breakfast was VERY SMALL for £12 was about enough food for my toddler. I understand one of each which is what we ordered but a teaspoon of beans and 3 tiny button mushrooms? Could be a little more generous. No pepper on tables only salt? And everything was very oily. Better value for money elsewhere:

I was so pleasedto find they supply the traditional bûche de Noël in Devon. Couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase as I was not expecting to find one. It looked pretty and tasted even more delicious. The meringue mushroom was great and the swirls on the end were made of delicious marzipan

What a wonderful find. We stumbled across this little beachside eatery as we walked around Teignmouth. We had a fabulous Thai lunch with curry & rice, pad Thai and stir fried noodles. We enjoyed this whilst sat with a view of the estuary on back beach. The owner was delightful and wanted to photograph our food for her Facebook page. A truly enjoyable lunch and very reasonably priced. Just £9 for a main course with rice or noodles. If I had one of theses locally, I would be there 3 times a week
