Have been visiting Teignmouth for over 40 years, living in East Devon. Never before been to Relish. So glad we did today. The ladies who were working this place were so friendly and helpful. Husband chose cheese and ham toastie. I scanned the menu. I hate when people are fussy for the sake of fussiness but having recently been diagnosed with gallstones and told to keep to a No Fat Diet I have no choice but to join them. Chose a ham salad sandwich, no mayo, no butter which can be pretty dull. However, with lovely chunky bread, fresh salad and some mustard to add, was delicious. It may have taken us 40 years to find Relish but it won't be too long before we are back. The various burgers they do definitely whetted my appetite for after my gallbladder surgery. Thank you ladies.

We have been visiting Dawlish and Teignmouth for many years now and have to visit Relish at least once when we are down there. Food is always top notch, especially the Turbo Burger! The staff are alway very welcoming and we always look forward to returning. The owner dished out some of his home made chilli sauce with my burger last time, which was a welcome addition. Great food and lovely people.

Always try to visit once a week, think we’ve tried everything on the menu and EVERYTHING is superb. Anywhere that is frequented by locals is always a good place to visit and Relish is no exception. The staff are always friendly, Adam and Jane provide a good range of freshly cooked to order food options to rival any gastro experience. An authentic relaxed dining experience that is a must visit in the town.

Lovely cafe with freshly cooked superb food, a good choice on the menu and very friendly and helpful staff, they make it a pleasure to go there. I tend to go for my breakfast, this morning I had a bacon and egg bap which is so good but I have also had their full breakfast which is very tasty and plenty of food freshly cooked. The coffee is brilliant. They also have many different tasty Burgers. You can sit inside or outside, payment is by cash only at the moment. Highly recommend going here, it has a lot of regular custom due to the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Based in the Arts Quarter of Teignmouth which is a very pleasant place to sit. Dog friendly too. Cafe opens at 9.30am. You will not be disappointed.

I regularly go to this cafe in Teignmouth and it never disappoints, I went there yesterday for a fab breakfast and coffee, a real treat. The coffee is great and the breakfast was lovely, quality bacon and sausage, fried egg, beans, tomato and mushrooms with 2 rounds of toast and butter, absolutely delicious and very filling. The staff are always friendly and cheerful and it is a delight to come here for a meal. Plenty of choice on the menu including gourmet burgers. There are tables inside and outside. I can't wait for my next visit. Thank you to all the staff for making is such a great experience. Highly recommend if you are in Teignmouth, it is next door to the TAAG Arts Centre. The Cheese Burgers - Cheddar or Stilton - are superb. Better in my view than any of the new city "Gourmet-type" springing-up everywhere. All other dishes on the menu are equally well presented and such great value. This is freshly cooked "cafe style" food at its best. Great staff, lovely setting, comfy and friendly.

I regularly eat here as the food is good and the cafe staff always friendly, treating you as friends rather than just customers. It has an easy atmosphere, simple decor and great food. The menu offers a large choice of burgers. my son has ate his way through most of them and none disappoint. I usually have the scrambled eggs on thick bread.. The scrambled egg is always perfectly done. The coffee great. They don’t do chips but offer for you to bring them from the chippy across the road to eat with your food. no pretensions no fuss and always good food.

We were spending a day in Teignmouth it was 85 Fahrenheit and we were passing by here and we noticed the tables and chairs spread around and behold some were under the shade of the trees. Perfect !!!!Time for coffee and respite for our ‘weary’ dogs. Thoroughly enjoyed a drink and noticed the food on offer. The dogs were happy relaxing in the shade so why not ??Ordered some BLT’s and another drink. Was quickly served by a very pleasant young lady. Was excellent quality in a lovely fresh french-stick. Coffee: excellent. Tea: good. Fried breakfast: fabulous... Exactly what you'd expect. Add a warm welcome and a friendly atmosphere and that's all you need. NO. STOP. WAIT... Look at the burger menu! Now I appreciate a big brecky and a bacon butty as much as the next guy, but don't just come for breakfast. Look at those burgers. In particular... Look at the TURBO. Pure genius. A taste sensation that combines a big slab o'burger with bacon, stilton and fresh chillis. Wow. Oh, their veggie burgers a good too, and the other stuff. Dogs welcome, of course... My wife and I first discovered this little gem about three years ago whilst holidaying in nearby Dawlish Warren and we both rate it as simply the best little cafe in Teignmouth. This is a small cafe, simple and friendly offering simple uncomplicated but very tasty food. All the food is fresh and tasty and well prepared and fairly priced. However it isn't just the food that makes it special. This cafe has the best atmosphere of any cafe or restaurant we've ever visited. It reminds me of the old fashioned good pub without the alcohol. People chatting and laughing and relaxing and it's catching. You should visit and join in the banter, simply wonderful.

Just had a chicken burger to take away from Relish, and I am currently battling a food coma to write this review. Staff was friendly and helpful, and I got my takeaway in about 10 minutes. I never knew I could feel such a way about a burger; but I'm thinking about applying for a special marriage license so I never have to be without one. £4.50 got me a humungous, fresh tasting chicken burger with bacon, onions, salad and melted cheese which has made me question whether I'll ever eat anything ever again. I would like to start to say how much I enjoyed teignmouth, I went to visit my grandfather and we decided to stop off at relish. The food was beautiful. REAL BEEF BURGERS! now that is very hard to find and made to the highest quality. Adam and Jane were very accommodating in all our needs and served us within minutes of being sat down. It strikes me as a wonderfully located, all about the food and the customer kind of place, basically they really care about what they serve and how they serve it. Before I left teignmouth I re-visited Relish three times in the space of a week, I had the chicken and the breakfast roll and the Ceaser salad, and I really could not fault any of it. To sum up I have been going to restaurants up and down the country for years and to be honest, this has been the best food out I have had in a long time. This cuisine would not be out of place in many high end restaurants around the world.Great customer service and beautiful food, it's a nice surpriseMr Leon Sharp

Having over 20 years experience in the Catering Industry it was extremely refreshing for me to find that Relish clearly attaches huge importance to its high standards of customer service. Tucked away in one of the quieter locations in Teignmouth, Relish is well worth searching out if you are feeling peckish. I have to declare that I'm a regular customer so this review is based on many past visits.Don't come here expecting gourmet dining. The food is plentiful and filling, the portions generous. Jane and Adam cater mainly for locals who have learned from experience that they are assured of a warm and friendly welcome.Adam provides a local delivery service by bicycle and can often be seen pedaling off with a baguette in tow.The menu has a great selection of locally-sourced burgers, rolls and baguettes. There is often a genuinely home-made soup-of-the-day while I can personally recommend the Caesar salad for times when something (a little) lighter is required. If there's nothing on the menu that you fancy, let the kitchen know and they'll try to rustle up something that appeals to you.Relish certainly lives up to its motto "Good Food, not Fast Food". Just don't expect tablecloths!
