Love this place! For inexpensive food, friendly staff and a great location, you wont do much better! 😁

We love this place. We often pop in to get a box of chips to eat by the sea and the chips are always crisp and delicious. The staff are the best part of this diner, always so polite and lovely. Always our first choice when we're out in Teignmouth.

This IS the place to eat in Teignmouth. Lovely food, very well priced, excellent service, great facilities and a great location. Sea views from the upstairs restaurant and even a serving hatch for takeaway food for the seafront. This place is a must-visit. Even without the competitive pricing, the service would be worth trying this place for; but with both competitive pricing AND great service, it's a really good bet!

Nice little seaside cafe with a good selection of meals at very affordable prices. Staff are very friendly. Can't go wrong.

Had food here a couple times.Their breakfasts were brilliant but this time(yesterday)chose to have a dinner there.The food was hot,delicious and quick to receive,so well done to you guys and keep it up 👍🏻💯

Would have given the food a zero star if I could. Chips were horrible, burger was horrible, jacket potato was barely cooked, prawn cocktail was tasteless. The old woman inside was lovely, but the food honestly was horrible. Walked out in the end

Unpretentious cafe serving nicely prepared simple food at very reasonable prices. Clean and spacious. Right outside the bus stop and close to the sea front. Great for a light lunch although more substantial meals also served.

Only had coffee. It was a bit tasteless, sorry. We both left about half a cup.

Tables are attached to the chairs with not enough space to be comfortable. Everything else was nice, but this spoiled it.

When the sun is shining great place to sit out and watch the world, beware of the Gulls nicking your sausages.

A lovely Cafe right by the sea, although no sea view because of the sea defences- maybe from upstairs though, I didn't check. The food is nicely presented and very reasonably priced. Very clean and tidy with super staff. Well worth a visit.

Lovely food great customer service ice that's all we need to give a great atmosphere

We stopped in for a light lunch, with our toddler, the food was reasonably priced, and very tasty. We just had a couple of sandwiches and a bowl of chips. It was cooked well and enjoyable. We opted to sit upstairs so that we wouldn't be in anyones way with the pushchair, and the staff offered to bring a highchair up for us, they were all attentive and friendly. We would definitely return when we visit Teignmouth again

Never usually leave reviews but felt like I had to with this place. The food is awful. Worst fish and chips we’ve ever had. Frozen chips and a frozen fish, not freshly cooked. Better to not bother, much better options locally.

We've returned to this cafe on numerous occasions. The staff are extremely accommodating, friendly and provide a fast and efficient service. Despite there being 8 of us, all of our meals arrived at the same time. It is an extremely welcoming place, especially if you have a dog. Would highly recommend the lasagne or the vegetarian option. Will definitely be returning soon 😊

Good price for a big breakfast and comes with a tea or coffee. Service always very pleasant and friendly.

We went here because most places were shut ( mid afternoon and terrible weather) the seating is fixed and a little tight, the service was alright. We had fish and chips, and it was ok as a cafe meal, but we would go to a fish and chip restaurant next time . You get what you pay for,it filled the spot but there are better places for fish and chips.

Standard cod and chips £8 quid, no other size option. Worst fish I’ve had since moving to Devon 5 years ago. Shocking in fact. Overcooked, frozen tasting mush. Can’t believe a fish and chip char on the seafront is serving this! Yes we not got take away, it would be returned. Chips decent but this should be a given! Service was friendly.

The staff were very helpful polite and very friendly the food tastes absolutely gorgeous I am on holiday and would totally come back again when I go to Teignmouth I might have the curry or pasty and chips next time such a lovely diner 😊

My wife and I were so disgusted by the food served to us we walked out leaving the food all bar a couple of chips. Firstly this is a diner and takeaway, the staff took the order and money for the food in the diner but then served the takeaway first leaving the customers in the diner waiting for ages. Secondly, when the 'Food' finally arrived 'and in my opinion' the cod was clearly cooked from frozen, barely warm, undercooked, very watery and of extremely poor quality. We walked out in disgust. As I said at the start it was busy, but that is no excuse for serving up food 'that in my opinion' was disgusting. A real shame because the rest of our experience at the airshow was fantastic.

Lovely food, great drinks! Food cooked fresh, coffee is ground and not instant. Fresh ingredient used. Restaurant is clean with light decor and comfortable seating.

Beautiful place, staff were very friendly and food is fantastic. Its now are go to for a good breakfast and great value for money when ever we are down this way. Highly recommended.

This place I fantastic, rest value for money, the plates are full with whatever you order, the service is amazing, the owners are super friendly, the place is clean, the meals very tasty, we went there twice....very sat after the meal 🙂

What a disapointing meal - Found a relatively clean table, sat down and waited for service - ignord by staff member serving. Went to the counter and told to order food there. Had to get own cutlery - some of it dirty, had to change over two forks. Placed order - food arrived quickly, obviously heated from frozen rather than fresh. Food did not look particularly appetizing, dull brown batter on the cod, fish more grey than white, no peas withthe fish and chips - just a few dead leaves. Chips not particularly good - overcooked and too many hard small bits. Ordered chixken breast - got four small slices of chicken brest, rubbery texture and tasteless. Coffee was nice, soft drink was minute. Overall an expensive poor quality meal. Next time we will go to Morrisons and get a far better meal for far less money.

It's OK to be dog friendly. But allowing them to sit at the table is too far. Keep them on the floor. Waitress stroked the dogs. Hope she washed her hands after.

This is a no-frills café offering good home cooking at very reasonable prices. Everyone’s friendly, but the seating is fixed, so it doesn’t exactly accommodate the ‘fuller figure’!

Good "fry up" style breakfast. Freshly cooked and able to substitute items if you can't eat those on the fixed menu. Good value. The one downside is that the table and chairs are fixed and can be very snug for larger people.

Terrible food, pies heated up in microwave, fish just oven heated, tasted rubbery and flesh had yellow colour. Awful place, cheap but sometimes you get what you pay for.

We have been travelling from tiverton devon to this teignmouth cafe for the last 20 or so years now to start with we took our children as they loved it there and now myself and husband continue to go there traveling a good few miles just to have food and then home again , the owners are wonderful and th food and fast friendly service us amazing .

Compared to most of the cafe and eateries it's cheap and cheerful. It's about to be done up according to a window note. Good views of the sea upstairs. Good service from the staff.

This cafe is adequate but nothing special. I visited it today and was quite bemused as a couple sitting at a table were accompanied by their two dogs, who were also sitting at the table. I can accept the dog friendly policy, but please keep them on the floor. Won't be eating there again. I only grabbed a snack anyway as very short of time.

Good choice of food reasonably priced

Not the best place in town. A bit grotty inside. Food was dried up and steak on the mixed grill was so tough the steak knife wouldn't cut it. 90% of the meals are heated in the microwave.

Visited this restaurant today with a friend for a fish and chip lunch, never again! It was the worst fish and chips that I have ever eaten in my life. The chips were dry and difficult to swallow. What can I say about the fish, well nothing praiseworthy. The batter was dark brown, dry and solid, the cod inside dry, thin and looked old. My friend had plaice, it could barely be found inside the breadcrumbs it was so small and thin. My friend visited the ladies toilet and ended up using the mens because the only ladies toilet didn’t flush so the pan was full of toilet paper! Need I say more. I regret not using the fish and chip shop that was down the road a little further and had a queue outside, maybe their customers were more discerning.

Absolutely horrific fish and chips Dark brown batter , grey fish. Resembled the bottom of a shoe. Asked for a refund and the boss was rude and arguing the toss that there was nothing wrong with it

Went here for the first time today as my friend recommended their fry up... Oh my god, best Fry up i have ever had!!! Excellent service amazing food - their fried bread is like a taste of heaven!! Can highly recommend...also super cheap which is only a plus! I'm now mentally planning my next trip to Teignmouth and this little diner! Thank you so much. Also can recommend their cream tea, oh my gosh!! Wish i had taken pictures! So simple but hella delicious!

Shocking quality and I couldn’t finish my meal. If you’re wondering how it’s so cheap, it’s because the food is all frozen and fried to order. Worst meal I had over the course of a week visiting Devon.

I like coming to teignmouth from Exeter on bus it stops outside this cafe so always pop in had breakfast today it was lovely really nice bacon & had fried bread put my egg on top blooming lovely you really can't go wrong by popping in here for friendly service & tasty food & a nice mug of tea.

Very tasty food, budget friendly- because for ordering 2 cappuccinos, glass of milk, chicken salad, spaghetti and milkshake with whipped cream I've paid less that £20! I must add place got air conditioning so was nice and fresh inside, very clean with friendly staff. We didn't wait long too as the dished cooked from fresh were served almost instantly. I recommend 👌

Like I say great food and great prices nothing fancy good portion sizes and very reasonably priced unlike certain other places in the area. If you want a value for money with no frills this is the place you will not beat it for value Keep the good work up 👍👍

This place is a gem of Teignmouth (maybe I should keep quiet, so I can always get a seat!) this is our go to place for reasonably priced food and coffee, which is always served with a smile and we always enjoy the quality of the food given, they work very hard to clear up and keep it clean, I get that the seats are not the most comfortable as they are fixed, however I get how much easier it is for them to clean around on the floor due to this. There is further seating on the first floor where seats can be moved and outdoor seating should this be an issue for anyone. They are always busy with regular customers always returning, which should tell you something ☺️

Had a take away 4oz Burger, Ham and Cheese Panini and Small Chips. Excellent value and the burger was so delicious didn't get to have its picture taken. Excellent sea side chip shop and friendly service, good food at affordable prices. Will visit again 🙂

Very happy to eat here. Ordered eggs and chips + tuna baguette. Food fresh and cooked to order. Staff are very helpful and quick to keep tables clear and clean. Reasonably priced. Couldn't fault our visit.

I've been going to the Seaview Diner for years, my mum lives in Teignmouth and it's one of her favourites. Since moving to Torbay myself, those visits have become more frequent - it's situated right next to the stop for my bus home, so I'll often pop in for a coffee while I wait. Food-wise, the all day breakfast is great, but their burgers are among the best I've tasted! It's design and layout means several tables have a window view of sunny Teignmouth, but the lighting (pictured) also adds to the ambience during cloudier days out of season.

Have been coming here for years! . Always come here for a light meal , when we visit Teignmouth . Kids loved it and still do , as young adults. You cannot better for service , speed and absolute cracking value . We have never...

We had a couple of lovely lunches here ,varied menu at reasonable prices generous portions and quick service by friendly staff only slight critique is thats its very snug especially if larger/taller members of group but next time in area would def go back as overall weve had 2 good experiences! Can't comment on fish as not had that but burgers omelette baguettes ham egg chips all good!

We live in Teignmouth and eat here regularly. The all day breakfasts are great, with generous portion sizes. Sea View Diner is good if you are hungry, staff always friendly. The seats are not the most comfortable.

Cheap and cheerful clean tidy place with friendly staff Very quick service,sausages were nice although the chips were nothing to write home about and the tea was lukewarm I would happily call in again though as the food cured my hunger and I like polite people who make the effort but will skip the Rosie Lee

We have been going to the diner regularly for years and love it there, it is part of routine when we go to Teignmouth. Excellent service, the guy that runs it is a gem, super lovely and always smiling. I have never left the cafe...

Many times, esp: during latish summer/autumn evening, I have seen tourists looking for a place such as the Seaview Diner to feed obviously hungry kids and there is no doubt that the Seaview is top of my recommendation list. Quite fast service and fresh food with a good selection of coffees, teas and soft drinks. After being a customer since the 1970's & then a resident since the late 1990's, the Seaview is a welcome sight on any day or night when we are in town.
