A lovely little cafe in the heart of Moretonhampstead. I enjoyed a latte and toasted tea cake in the sunny garden. Friendly helpful staff.

Terrific new place which both sells a large range of interesting wines and which has a few tables where you can enjoy a drink and snack. We enjoyed excellent local lager accompanied by fantastic Devon jamon. Convivial atmosphere and friendly service.

We could NOT go! I was really saddened that they could not provide a different service for a disabled child than their other customers... (just book ahead to ensure wheelchair space) We are in 2024, with your attitude, there would be no paralympics! Very enjoyable meal at Berto's. We had pizzas, which were very thin and crispy - just as we like. We liked the homely atmosphere and friendly service and that we could take our own wine, for a reasonable corkage fee. Definitely we'll go again next time we are in this area.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch here. The food arrived very quickly after ordering and was delicious; sauces and extra gravy were brought to the table straight away as well which was great. As always the atmosphere was very welcoming and the service was first class.

Izaak who ran the cider and gin making session was excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable, informative, and fun. He made us feel welcome and had us laughing and keen to participate. We had an excellent day out at Bovey Castle. The bar staff were not as ready to interact, or even serve us as Izaak was, but everyone else was lovely.

Booked for Sunday lunch and food was exceptional. Service equally good. Mark makes a great front of house and manager. Lovely ambience. Oh and did I mention it’s dog friendly too!

We had a late Sunday lunch at the White Hart and everything was superb. We came right at the end of the lunch window so I was expecting a bit of less attention/end of service fatigue but Nell and Tom were so friendly and efficient. We didn't at all feel rushed or ignored; perfect service. The food was also amazing, we'll definitely be back.

Stopped for lunch after walking from Lustleigh with a friend on Tuesday 26/3. She had a tasty baguette and I had the most delicious cheesy chips. The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and cosy and the waitress was so welcoming. The cakes looked amazing too. We're planning a return visit soon
