The best restaurants serving British food in Moorland Teignbridge South West

Another amazing evening at the Gateway. We were excited to try Sam's Taste of the Far East and it didn't disappoint in fact it was probably our favourite meal at the Gateway yet. The atmosphere was lovely and we felt spoilt throughout the evening. The flavours were fabulous and the presentation was another 6 star. If you haven't been then you should get on the mailing list and book for there next pop up.

Lovely cafe in iconic situation

Lovely pub in a beautiful location. Highly recommend ploughmans and a pint or two. Pie night Tuesday 5 - 8 we’ll be back

Grounds and hotel/mansion were stunning and staff friendly enough. Food at the restaurant was definately not 5 star and so disappointing, dry chewy sirloin steak at £40 was appalling, as well as the starter which was horrendous for the cost, service also very slow at restaurant. Lodges very nice though

Popped in for lunch on a drizzly Monday. Staff were super friendly, food was really quite sensational. Try the chicken milanese with the nduja sauce. Delightful! Fantastic pub.

Stopped for lunch after walking from Lustleigh with a friend on Tuesday 26/3. She had a tasty baguette and I had the most delicious cheesy chips. The service was great, the atmosphere was warm and cosy and the waitress was so welcoming. The cakes looked amazing too. We're planning a return visit soon

Good food at a reasonable price

Proper pub. Beautiful. Good beer. Multiple real fires inside on a snowy day on Dartmoor. Could have spent hours here, happily. Can’t ask for more.
