Gluten free Tuesday is amazing. My partner can have fish and chips and eat the same take out as everyone else for a change. Treatment of allergy was exceptional, food delicious
Myself and partner celebrated our birthdays here with a Sunday roast and drinks with friends and family. There were over 20 of us in total and everyone said how lovely the food was. Great portion sizes. Home cooked and all orders came out one after the other. Service was amazing. Thanks all. We had the best afternoon.
First timer here, and I’d say the food and service was on point. Was surprisingly empty when we walked in (about 6pm on a bank holiday) and so was a little weary at first, but once we ‘settled in’ and started eating, we were more than content.
Prices are a little steep, but I’d argue this is quality over quantity; even though we certainly had quantity as well. I’d be amazed if anyone could sit through four servings as the menu lays out.
Decor was good, food obviously, cheesecake uncertain (I made the mistake of ordering when already full, would’ve probably enjoyed it more otherwise). Didn’t catch her name either, but a shout out to the waitress (youngish with presumably dyed blonde hair) who was pleasant and welcoming.
Quite likely to return here if ever in the area.
Visited with friends for the bottomless brunch, £20 for a starter and side or a pizza, along with all you can drink (a choice of 4 cocktails, a lager and Prosecco) for 2 hours, an incredible deal, great value for money, the food was amazing! Deal is slightly more expensive later on the day but still amazing value!
Staff were so lovely and kept bringing out the drinks as soon as we’d finished, not like some ‘all you can drink’ places where they are stingy on the alcohol.
Some of the best cocktails we’ve tasted, will defo be back soon, even for just for the food, everything they were bringing out looked lovely.
Toilets were lovely and clean, as were the rest of the restaurant. Not like some places where the menus and tables are grubby etc.
Recommend this to anyone.
I have eaten at Abe's a number of times and I have always enjoyed a quality meal. Yesterday's vegetarian tali must have been one of the best ever; it was beautifully present and the dishes were all so different and each one bursting with flavour. The marsala chai was pipping hot and delicious.
I highly recommend Abe's restaurant for top quality Southern Indian 'street food'.
Food was average service was terrible however the atmosphere was good given the time of year. It was also mentioned after the visit that the owner/s were in the local news. On wiltshire999s re highworth restaurant manager which was concerning so will not be going back.
The salt and pepper wings are fantastic and go so well with a thai sweet chilli dip, the thai sweet chilli ribs were fantastic too, fall off the bone. Special chow mein was one of the nicest I have ever had and the 2 crispy pancake rolls are huge, so filling and could fill you up alone.
Nice ambience exceptional roast everything from the meat , the gravy , spuds cabbage were extremely tasty it was heavenly. Its not the cheapest but the old saying you get what you pay for is certainly true.
Sorry but for the price I paid for delivery for a steak burrito with the dirty rice missing. I advise anyone looking to buy here to look at elsewhere. Awful
I was happy to pay for full meniu, jast to do not put 1 of the topic.
I been told they can not do it.
That means if you are alergic on 1 of the topic you have to take out on your own, insted of asking to do not put in.
Was really bad experience.
Never again.
AVOID —- Booked for my friends hen party to set up a green grazing table and they never showed up despite us paying in full - have emailed, called, messaged and instagrammed and no response. In the process of reporting to trading standards. We were left with no food for our event.
Very disappointed, messy, grubby and the staff seemed lost not knowing what they were doing making mistakes on all orders, no organisation at all! I’m given to understand (on good authority) that staff are working 14 hour shifts with no breaks surly this is illegal? Definitely would not go again or recommend to anyone!
