Sorry but for the price I paid for delivery for a steak burrito with the dirty rice missing. I advise anyone looking to buy here to look at elsewhere. Awful

First of all, there was no parking. The staff were rude and obnoxious. I had to wait over 45minutes for my meal when it arrived I was underwhelmed. There are limited options to choose from on the menu. or sides. The pickled cactus I would not waste your money on. There are no vegetarian options. Unfortunately My steak was overcooked, tasteless and dry. My chips were soggy and greasy. The atmosphere was dingy and there was a strong smell of cannabis.

Appalling behaviour and service in this establish. Greeted with intimidating young lads who carry knifes. Swearing loudly. My daughter was harassed by the owner who had a perverted manner. The meal was below average the chicken was still pink and un edible. We will not be returning.

We visited this evening, have been wanting to try after reading all of the great reviews! We weren't disappointed, the food and drinks were excellent. We had the mixed grill (ribeye), roasted jalapeños and pickled cactus. The lamb and chicken was delicious, so tender and tasty - the ribeye, wow! Mexican roast potatoes were cooked to perfection and the accompanying sauces were delicious. The roasted jalapeños were firey but full of flavour and the pickled cactus was something we had never tried before but thought it was delicious too. I highly recommend the spicy mango margaritas, great flavour, I could've drank a boat load! This is a wonderful, Independent, local business thay needs supporting, you won't be disappointed, the food is right up there with the best you can get in the local area. Thank you for a wonderful meal, we can't wait to come back!

We had our honeymoon in Mexico, and haven't had Mexican food since. We live in Swindon and stumbled across this little street food Mexican restaurant called Concina Del Diablo. Wow just wow the service and food was amazing. We shared different foods off the menu and all was fresh and full of flavour. This food really hit the soul. I cannot express how good this food is. Thank you to all that work at Cacino Del Diablo.

Where to even start! I had been here before for lunch and ever since been trying to find time to come back and really fill my belly. Came with a friend for dinner having already decided to order a good range of dishes. The chef came out to chat through things and sensing we wanted the full experience set about making us a range of pretty much every core menu item. This included: Birria beef tacos Black beans with chorizo Chicken skewers Pork skewers Lamb skewers Spicy rice Chips Salsa Birria gravy and loads of pickles. It was an almost obscene amount of food for two people but we gave it a very good go! I love steak but I am super fussy. I can honestly say this was the best steak I've had in Swindon by a mile. Seasoned all the way through and pull apart tender. It was clear the chef had so much passion which you could totally get from the quality of the food. Including 5 beers out bill was just over £60. I would have accepted that for the steak alone it was that good. This place is remarkable value. Give it a go and get behind a gem of a local business. You won't regret it.

Never felt the need to review before, after reading the reviews we decided to come here. And what a choice we made! Cocktails were INCREDIBLE food was cooked to PERFECTION. Lovely staff at the front and even spoke to the chief who was amazing and attended to our needs. Even have a garden seating area. Never thought we’d find this in gorse hill. Only downfall is the lack of parking in the area but that’s not the restaurants fault just the area it’s in.

This is 100% what Swindon has been missing. We had the birria tacos (lamb and beef) and also the Pico d'galo alongside a pitcher (that's right) of Margherita. Given its location away from Mexico the food tasted as authentic as can be and we were left full and happy. For locals this place may just be a hidden gem and we will 100% be returning and bringing friends with us. The staff are very friendly and were happy to add items to the menu that we asked for to accompany our meal. We spent about 3 hours here as we finished our food and enjoyed the environment so much we just hung around playing cards!

Such great atmosphere on a rainy boring Wednesday and felt blown away by the quality of the food and fresh produce. We’re taking half the sandwich home as it was HUGE!!…..see you next week.

Wow, what a delight hidden in Gorse Hill. Found this place accidentally with the girls one night, the cocktails and pitchers are amazing, the secret garden is a hidden gem, a great way to spend an evening with a live DJ. A beautiful Mexican style Steakhouse, the selection of steaks available were mouth watering. Even the vegetarian was in for a treat with a pickled Cactus taco, which we all wanted to try! We look forward to coming back for another great night.

Wow, amazing food!! The chef they have clearly has great skills as the presentation was superb. I went with three friends on Sunday to celebrate a birthday and I have to say the service and the whole experience was 2nd to none. I would highly recommend this place. I had a beef Birria which was super tasty. The cocktails were also really good and they certainly didn’t scrimp on the alcohol :) thank you we shall return very soon

An amazing new restaurant in heart Swindon. Great atmosphere and the best steak sandwich I’ve ever tasted. The staff are warm and welcoming and they have a cute secret garden. Everything is locally sourced and the tortillas and salsas are made in house. Their cocktails are lethal

I recently visited El Mexicana Burrito Shop because they display a halal certification, which seemed reassuring for anyone looking for halal options. However, I was very disappointed to find that they keep pork products right next to the halal food items. This proximity raises serious concerns about cross-contamination, making it uncomfortable for anyone observing halal dietary requirements. Claiming to be halal while storing pork in the same area is misleading and shows a lack of respect for halal standards. This oversight can be deeply disappointing and even distressing for Muslim customers who trust the halal certification as a mark of assurance. If you’re looking for authentic halal options, I’d recommend being cautious about El Mexicana Burrito Shop’s setup and possibly avoiding it unless they take steps to handle pork separately and more carefully. It’s essential for places like this to take food safety and religious dietary needs seriously, so customers can dine with peace of mind.
