Visited with friends for the bottomless brunch, £20 for a starter and side or a pizza, along with all you can drink (a choice of 4 cocktails, a lager and Prosecco) for 2 hours, an incredible deal, great value for money, the food was amazing! Deal is slightly more expensive later on the day but still amazing value! Staff were so lovely and kept bringing out the drinks as soon as we’d finished, not like some ‘all you can drink’ places where they are stingy on the alcohol. Some of the best cocktails we’ve tasted, will defo be back soon, even for just for the food, everything they were bringing out looked lovely. Toilets were lovely and clean, as were the rest of the restaurant. Not like some places where the menus and tables are grubby etc. Recommend this to anyone.

Usually places in Swindon are a meh at best. This place was a gamble and turned out to be amazing. Nice variety of grilled meats, all cooked and seasoned to perfection. The fried chicken was crispy and tender and glazed with great flavours. 5/5, will most definitely frequent this place, highly underrated.

We had our first visit to this innovative restaurant. Everything about this place was unexpected! The menu is interesting and creative. The small plates are freshly cooked. We loved the Oz Chardonnay-which was crisp and spritzy and not the usual oaky bland offering. Staff were pleasant but not over friendly.

Amazing food! Our waitress was called Jess and she was so attentive, so friendly and smiley and made us feel so at home. She also knew the menu and drinks and even guessed what shot we would like. 100% would come back.

Full disclosure, we visited because we know someone who just started working there. But wow it was great! There's a wide selection of dishes, lots of flavour but also pizza, fries etc. if you have less adventurous diners in your party. The service was friendly and fast, and the food arrived really quickly. It was quiet on a Sunday evening, so that probably helped. We tried several tapas dishes and they were all lovely, but the sweet potatoes and the fajitas were our favourites. Finished off with a really delicious cocktail. Excited to visit again and try some more things!

I've never been here before and didn't quite know what to expect. I was greeted by a lovely girl who was the manager, Lucy. She showed us to our seats and got our drinks whilst Matthew served us. The service was first class. The ambience was great and the atmosphere was exciting. The menu wasn't have something I've never really seen quite before but once I got to grips with it I ordered away and I was not disappointed. Great experience and reasonable price. Check it out, you really want be disappointed

Came at lunchtime for my birthday treat, staff were friendly and accommodating and the food was cooked swiftly and tasted delicious, would have been nice if there were more people in here to create a nice atmosphere but loved the decor

Having pizzas, Korean tapas and 'cook your own' meat options on the same menu is quite bizarre. I would encourage Funky Grilla to focus on perfecting the Korean. There were mix views around the table. Some said the tapas they ordered was really delicious (9/10) but others, including me, were not so enthusiastic. I went for the classic Korean fried chicken, which I've never had before so couldn't really tell you if its authentic or not. What I can tell you is that it was dry and the ratio of meat to batter was 1:3 (i.e. too much batter). I didn't experience Korean flavours or any spicy kick, so in that regard it was quite bland (to what I was expecting). In summary, comparing the price (expensive) with the quality of the food, unfortunately this currently falls a little short of 'good' for me, but others around my table would disagree with this. This has only just opened and I will return in 6 months to see if any changes have been made. On a positive note, what I would say is, if you're looking for delicious cocktails (reasonable price), a light bite and a good vibe, this is a good place to go.

The restaurant has a great atmosphere and nice decor. The service was quick which was nice, but the menu itself is quite eclectic and not very authentic. The food was nice enough, though not stand out. The staff were very friendly and accommodating which was great to see.

We chanced our luck as we had not booked and the front of house staff we super accommodating. We ate as a family with our 2 year old daughter and every member of staff we came into contact with were fab. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. As a family, we have only tried a few Korean dishes but our waiter was really helpful and recommended a few dishes based on our taste. We would definitely return and recommend.

Do not visit if you wish to try the Korea BBQ and are in a wheelchair or have a disability that stops you from sitting in a fixed pew seat. They have no spaces for either wheelchairs or normal chairs in the BBQ section.

First impressions was that it has been fitted out on a budget, We (8 people) visited on a chilly Oct night and the front door was incapable of holding back the cold wind from outside. Overall, furnished in a very “minimalistic” way and that gives...

I did a phone order for collection, which they forced me to pay cash for. When I got home and realised that there was a missing item I called them back up. Instead of saying sorry for their mistake, the host began to accuse me of lying and said that it was in the bag, when clearly it wasn't. Not unless it was an invisible rice. She continued to argue that they packed it. She then began to swear at me in Chinese, which she thought I couldn't understand. I'm a honest man, and would not take anything that isnt mine, and i would certainly not try and con a Chinese out of a box of rice. So basicly what they have done, is steal from me, by charging me for something they clearly havent given. And conveniently, as the payment was in cash, I had no chance of a refund. They're cheaters, liars, aggressive and have horrendous customer service. Do not give them your money!! I will NEVER order from them again! If you read this, please don't say you haven't been warned!........ and in reply to the owners response about my review, you most definitely forced me to pay cash, as you ONLY take cash payments in the shop! I was not in a position to go online and order, which I told you. As for the swearing at me, after calling me a lier for 5 minutes you asked the chef if he made the rice (in Chinese), which he told you he didn't, then you back tracked and offered to make the rice, which I had to leave my house and drive all the way back for, which would've been pointless as the rest of the £40 food order wouldve been stone cold by the time i got back. At this point the damage was done and the trust of our transaction was broken. And when I expressed my dissatisfaction about how i was treated, you got aggressive and started to swear at me, not the chef. Thats why i hung up on you. Also, why would I accept a free item, when I stated I will never return because of the way I was treated. You can try and sugarcoat it in any way you like, but you treated me with disrespect, aggression and dishonesty.

This place is a joke, the food is not Chinese but some sort of home made mess. I ordered a chow mein and what turned up was far from that. Instead of the traditional flat style noodles they had used supper noodles, no bean sprouts just what looked like it had come straight out of a plastic pot. We had ordered other dishes but every dish was the same and drenched in sweet and sour sauce. Great if you have ordered sweet and sour but if not then its a bit disappointing to say the least. Would avoid this place like the plague

We enjoy going to the Old Bakery for breakfast, lunch or a hot drink when we need to get out of the hotel (or outside of work for birthdays etc). Everyone that works there is so friendly and welcoming and it has a great atmosphere, the food is lovely and locally sourced.
