Lee's in Swindon

AVOID - If I could rate less than one star, I would. We have ordered food today, and have used this place for a number of years. Today, items were missing. We called and were told the missing items would be sent out. They never turned up. So, we had half meals. When a refund was requested, the lady was extremely rude, refused the refund and really didn’t care that half the order was received or that a bad review would be left. It’s a shame that they clearly don’t care about business or reputation. I’d go as far as saying that some of the good reviews on here are false. We will instead be chasing for a complete refund through the bank via the Visa chargeback option, as the business are unwilling to accept they made a mistake and think it’s acceptable to not fulfil customers orders.

Fantastic both service and high quality food. Very good prices and huge portions. Would definitely recommend! Best Chinese in Swindon without a doubt!!

The worst Chinese we've ever had. Firstly they missed one of the items off the order, but to be fair it was a God send as the rest of the meal was awful. The lemon chicken tasted artificial, chemical, over sweetened and acidic with a disgusting bright yellow colour. The chilli beef tasted exactly then same, only it was bright red instead. The chicken balls were ok, but the sauce, well... tasted like the others only a different colour. Prawn toast and the seaweed were ok but of all the chinese meals we've ever had, we didn't finish this one and just put it in the bin. Needless to say, we wont be ordering from here again - that's 50 quid down the drain.

This year's ago used to be a brilliant place, but sadly now through many changes of ownership & higher prices make alternatives seem better. It's a shame because food is good, 10pm closing could do with being 11pm.

Shocking! Absolutely disappointing. We sent all food back, due to it being disgusting. But the feedback I received is we so say ate all the food. They can’t just give a refund. It wasn’t about the money. It’s about the way they have spoken to us as a customer. We will never return

Have in the past always enjoyed their curry but the last one was more watery and a bit tasteless but what I really object to is charging for the tiny carrier bag to bring it home

Highly recommend the salt and chilli chips. The food was prepared quickly and the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style is crispy and sweet. Will definitely order here again

Compared to the last order which was fabulous, tonight’s was average. Arrived 45mins late and had to chase. Delivered the wrong rice - wanted chicken - they sent mushroom - no one likes mushroom so had to chuck it. Not great but palatable

Easily the best Chinese in Swindon. Highly recommend the s/s chicken Hong Kong style, super fruity sauce and charming staff.

When I entered in the shop it was empty and no was ring through to order mmmmmmm, so i ordered as it was ok not the best

Believe it or not we've been getting our Chinese Takeaway from here for over 20 years! The reason is simple. The quality is good and never really varies.

Wow,at last, Quality and Quantity. Best Chinese takeaway I’ve had in a long time. If you love Chinese, you will adore Lee’s. Thanks for a lovely meal. One year later! Received delivery today, which was on time as usual, no problems on that score. Very disappointed, things are not what they were ☹️ Quality of food has deteriorated. Sweet and sour prawn balls are now, hunt the prawn in a greasy mass of batter.😝 My favourite chicken curry is now, chicken in a peppery gravy. Sorry, but it is a shame to have to report this, but things need to improve. 🥹

Have ordered previously and always had good food. The last 2 times I have used them the service has been terrible. A few weeks ago when I went in and ordered they got my order completely wrong and gave me the wrong food. This evening I ordered via Uber and then got a phone call from them saying they couldn’t fulfil my order, they didn’t cancel it properly and I’ve now been charged by Uber for food I didn’t receive and Uber also have bad customer service. Not impressed.

Nice Chinese. Great rake away service. Cash only, but there us a cashpoint next door.

I haven't had a Chinese Takeaway in ages, so went to my local one, Lee's opens at 4.30pm on Saturday, member of staff smiled and after I ordered, she repeated what I had asked for, I ordered Beef and Green Peppers in Black Bean Sauce with Egg Fried Rice and Mushroom Curry with Boiled Rice. Paid Cash. Sat and waited. Guy waiting. Phone rang a couple of times. Customer that was waiting, his order was ready, he left. Another guy came in, he ordered paid with card, and went to the local Co-op, whilst his order was getting ready. About 10 minutes later, my order was ready. Had to meet mum in-law in Fish and Chip shop next door. She was ready. Got in car, Home at 4.55pm. It was the best one.

Excellent food at a reasonable price

Best Chinese food in and around surrounding areas. Ample portions and really tasty dishes, and if you ask for dishes to be cooked to your taste they are very happy to comply. We are a very fussy family and this is one place that never gets it wrong.

Haven’t been a fan of Chinese for a while now but had Lee’s a few times in recent weeks and absolutely loved it !! Best in town by a long shot !!

NOT HAPPY!!!! Always massively happy with Lee's food, but to deliver a meal 15 minutes late - 65 minutes original wait, then 85 minutes then 15 minutes later without warning - we paid a premium price for (6 people), then to have most of the rice missing so the meal went cold after calling we were told its the Kitchens fault and asked if we collect it ourselves it will be available in 10 minutes or wait another 40 minutes (you mean 100 minutes)! We already paid twice the price for free delivery! Then we found ingredients missing (love a beef and onion only curry with no rice - we ended up making our own rice)! We love VAT free cash only food (at premium prices) online or in store. so really don't understand why food is delivered without basic ingredients and told to collect ourselves. Completely let down! Steer clear; We will never order here again.

Been a regular for years . The price recently went up and my favorite pancake rolls are now half the size . Sorry but I won't be returning and will go else where now

Previously used hk97 but after a few bad experiences thought we would try Lees. Ordered chow mein special and omg it is literally the best I've had. The beef was seasoned and tasty. Food was still hot when we drove home from collection. The staff were helpful and advised me to use their website in future as I would get a 10% discount. I will now continue to use this Chinese as its quality of food is second to none.

Love love love! What can I say ordered late in the night and it was ready and super hot and just pure Chinese goodness! I’d highly recommend this place! The staff we seen was so friendly!

Absolutely terrible service. I went to collect our food when advised at 8:20. I waited in store for an hour to be given “free cookies” to apologise.. the fortune cookies are always bloody free. The phone was ringing constantly and they were refusing to answer. Around 10 other people came in as their order hadn’t been delivered and it was an hour or two AFTER their delivery slot. One customer cancelled his order after such a long wait. Won’t be going back. Sadly, the food wasn’t hot either but I wasn’t going to bother going back down to complain after waiting so long for the food! They also weren’t wearing any masks in the Kitchen and considering the current Covid situation, that’s very poor.

Brilliant staff, always remember us and what we order. We order Vegan and they are always careful with understanding our request. Food is lush, especially the chow mein. And Sweet and Sour Tofu!

After covid i don't think i want to eat Chinese food at all, no more Chinese food for me, no matter how good it may be, no thanks

Takeaway was closed until further notice due to COVID19 - Yet did not bother updating their opening times on Google. A wasted journey happened as a result. Poor business management

Very much a lackluster Chinese. Food was very bland. Egg rice was more like boiled white rice. Chicken balls were mostly batter and small amount of meat. Chilly chicken was tasteless. Would not recommend this place there is a lot better out there.

Found after spending a fortune on the Chinese for a birthday it was below average and the sweet and sour chicken balls were pork not chicken as ordered. Won't be returning there again.
