Abe's Cakes Limited in Swindon

I have eaten at Abe's a number of times and I have always enjoyed a quality meal. Yesterday's vegetarian tali must have been one of the best ever; it was beautifully present and the dishes were all so different and each one bursting with flavour. The marsala chai was pipping hot and delicious. I highly recommend Abe's restaurant for top quality Southern Indian 'street food'.

I order a cake for my son's birthday. Worst quality, I have never eaten such type of cake in my life. Very high sugar and watery from inside. If a diabetic patient eat he may die. I used to order cake from this shop only and quality was good but this time unbelievable. Never going to visit this place again. Ruined birthday party.

We have been purchasing Abe's cakes for 3 years now & his cakes are simply the best. The taste defies expectations & the attention to detail is so good that sometimes we actually felt that it should just be admired. The problem is that once you start eating his cakes, you can't stop. Abe helps us create memories and for that we are all indebted to him. Another cake is now on order and we can't wait to grab a piece.

Enjoy everything that Abe puts on a plate, never fail to love his food, the service from the wonderful Baghya is 1st class , I drive 30 miles every month to visit to enjoy the food and the company,. See you soon.

I enjoyed the most delicious fish Thali. Every dish was bursting with flavours and taste. The fish was perfectly cooked and spiced beautifully. Served with it, to add a taste of sweetness, was a light gulab jamun or any other of his wonderful little sweets. I thoroughly enjoyed the sugar cane juice with a touch of ginger and lime it was cooling and fresh. Abe may be primarily a brilliant cake maker but he also produces top quality Indian food.

If you want some of the best vegetarian southern Indian food available in Swindon you need to drop in to Abe's Cakes for lunch or a snack. I had a wonderful Puri which was accompanied by dishes bursting with a delightfully fresh and spicy tastes. Naturally you have to enjoy a masala chai and then finish off with a couple of delicious small cakes. It is only open for lunch and there is no alcohol available.

Besides his delicious cakes Abe also produces brilliant vegetarian lunches. I had a fabulous dosa, followed by two small cakes. Everything was bursting with flavour and freshly made. Great value for money.

Good fresh Indian street food, the Pani Puri, Bhel & Pav Bhaji are excellent and great prices. Great place for lunch.

I Googled for a good cake shop in Swindon and Abe's cakes came up with good rating but few in Trip advisor said the other way particularly about the lady, so I called them to enquire about the cake and I guess the same reviewed lady attended my call and answered my questions in a matured professional manner and for further discussion she asked me to come to the shop and I went in the next day with my family,to our surprise they not only do cakes but we tried their tastiest Indian chats and authentic masala dosa with homemade Indian Chai.Everything was delicious and I got to see the lady who almost single handedly handled every customer in there and she was opposite to the said reviews, most of her customers were happy with her and she polietely explained the cakes, enquired our requirements and every detail we gave her was carefully noted down, no need to say the cake was just the way we wanted and tasted heavenly. Abe's cakes makes the best cakes and I told all my friends about them, a huge shout out , no one is good enough for everyone, the lady did her best to me and she even opened the door to another customer, I am happy with her service and with her cakes. This is the least I could do for another woman. Thank you Abe's cakes, you got one happy customer.

I have ordered many cakes from here. Service is fast, sometimes as quick as next day. Mr Abe is such a brilliant baker, i am in awe of his work. I ordered 2 fresh cream cakes for an 18th and 21st birthday and both were works of art and tasted absolutely gorgeous. Every detail was immaculate. I would recommend this place over and over again!

I havent tried any cakes there yet. But i have tried pav bhaji and samosa and they were really very good . i would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves chats .

So there are very few places I know off where you get authentic Indian foods and cakes in particular. This is one of them. The only way to describe thir cakes is very Indian, light, fluffy and very flavoursome.The same holds true for their snacks whether it be samosas or pakoras. I have always found them to be very polite and they have actually gone out of the way to accomodate me more than once.They have for example opened the shop in the early hours of the morning well before their normal opening times to give me my order. Not many people wold do that. I would urge people to try them with an open mind

If you want a cake made to order or just want delicious sweets/cakes/puddings this is the place to shop. Besides the cakes there is a short lunch menu of vegetarian dishes and a chalk board of specials. Every dish is freshly made to order and is full of the spicy tastes of Pondicherry. You are asked how you want your meal: spicy, medium or mild. It was a great lunch. Nobody with a sweet tooth can not be pleased by the wonderful section of Southern Indian sweets/puddings. The service is friendly, educational (if you want to know what is in each dish or about Pondicherry) and efficient.

Abe's cakes is always friendly and the cakes are made to my needs. I read the reviews against the lady at the counter, i am a regular to that shop but she is always helpful, straight forward and gives you the right information. Way to go Baghya, you and Abraham makes a good team. I always recommend Abes cakes to my friends.

We had been to Abe's a number of times and Mr Abraham was always pleasant and welcoming. However the last time we went there it was a lady behind the counter. Her attitude was as if she was doing us a favour by letting us into her shop. We tried to make conversation but she was acting very uninterested and replying in one word sentences.. Needless to say we never went in after that if she was behind the counter. As other reviewers also felt she clearly needs more training in customer service.
