The best restaurants in North Devon South West

Met up with friends for lunch. The staff were very friendly, good menu. I had Pate, friends had scampi and chips and I bbq ribs all very good and thoroughly enjoyed. Followed by coffee. We were there for ages but there was no rush. Lovely old pub. This is the 2nd visit this year and it’s very nice.

This is a great restaurant. Lovely authentic Thai food, in a local pub with a nice atmosphere. Log fires in the winter and bright in the summer

We have just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay . Amazing views from our room, extremely comfy bed, fantastic food & a beautiful hotel. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. But by far the best thing about this hotel is the staff. Each and every member of staff is attentive, professional but also friendly and approachable. We will return as soon as possible.

We had a lovely 2 day stay,staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant meals and breakfast absolutely fantastic,try the pie and sticky toffee pud on the menu,you will not be disappointed .warm and cosy. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay,would definitely stay again. Jerry.

1 night stay, could have stayed longer. Owners were great, nothing too much trouble, food excellent, rooms and ensuite clean smart plenty of towels and shower gel etc. Tea coffee on hand in room. Thankyou for a lovely stay.

Looking forward to a chip supper I ordered a steak and kidney pie and chips, not difficult one would have thought. However, the pie was just zapped in the microwave and turned out to be completely inedible as the pastry was like tired old leather. And the staple of a Chippy, the chips. Well they were stone cold , flacid excuses for chips. Pretty much all the meal ended up in the bin.

Grew up in Ilfracombe and was always our favourite chip shop. Came back for a visit so decided to pop in and get some dinner. Arrived just before closing and ordered fish and chips. They gave us lots of free food as they had plenty left over. Tasted great! Lovely staff and will definitely come back again next time we come.

Visited twice for drinks and food whilst on holiday there. The best spot in Woolacombe- perfect view, fabulous, friendly staff. Super dog friendly. Food and menu choices great. Can't wait to come back!

Overpriced small portions of very bland mexican food. Ive never known mexican food to have almost no taste. Getting 4 tiny taco tortillas and a thimble of cheese with a £16 fajitas is ridiculous. Chipotle chicken that had no chipotle flavour and seemed like frozen bought in pre cut chicken. There wasnt even salt on the tortilla chips. The restaurant decor itself is pretty nice and the service was passable but the food needs a huge step up. I would've bought this up on the night but was never asked how the meal was when cleared or when paying

What can I say we just been for a fantastic breakfast.nothing to much trouble . Didn't want hash brown . Offered straight away something else in replace of them so had extra egg . We are on holiday and definitely will be back for sure . It was wonderful to see they cared and gave there all .

Yet again another lovely meal at this restaurant. We are always taken care of and the staff are all welcoming and friendly. The food is always delicious which is why we keep returning.

Visited here literally loads of times. Cost of living has gone up , but prices have hiked by 60% compared to last year. Way too expensive for an average cafe. We won’t be going again. Lots of other places to spend money at. What a shame through absolute greed. I’m not prepared to pay £60 or £70 on a snack for two adults and two kids.

Amazing food, the chips were the best we’d ever had! Everything is home made and was incredible. Great selection of beers/ciders, lovely landlady and great service. Will definitely be back next time we visit Fremington, thanks so much !

Was recommended this place. Went in for lunch today approx 1.15pm As you walk in there's a sign saying plse wait here to be seated. After several minutes standing there. Place looked empty including staff didn't hear or see any staff so we left. Did to up their game.
