This is a great place with some great wines just right for an afternoon relaxing taking in the sun. They are dog friendly as well great place for a drink.

Welcoming staff and filling the void of The Red Barn. Good atmosphere. Get the impression owner runs a tight ship which we think is a good thing. Good service, good music only suggestion is a better range of ale. Look forward to returning next time in Woolacombe

Having been disappointed with a couple of places we’d eaten at during our holiday, we were pleased to find this gem. Good service, lovely food, good location with warm welcome (including for our Labrador) and very efficient staff - we would recommend.

Friendly staff, clean, great food, good value. We went 2 nights in row because we were so glad we found somewhere everyone in the family liked eating. Thai green curry is delicious, as was the steak and ale pie and the burgers. Looking forward to going back next time we are on holiday.

What an amazing visit! We visited with our puppy who has just learnt to bark. The staff were amazing dispite the bar being busy, they found us a table in the corner. We had the falafel and the club burgers. We both agreed they were the best burgers we had had in a long time! Great drinks too with Rattler on tap including the berry version! To top it off we were next to the window so enjoyed the beautiful Woolacombe sunset!

Went here 3 times in as many days and had the best time every time. Great outside terrace to sip cold beers in the sunshine with view of bay. Inside really nicely organised with the most incredibly welcoming friendly & helpful staff. Food was fantastic. Burgers heavenly and the halloumi fries something else! Friends all loved it too. Highly recommend.

What a fantastic place. The food is just simply wonderful. Honestly I could say some of the nicest pulled pork I’ve ever had.

Great place with really cool decor and super friendly staff. Food was all really tasty and brilliant portion sizes. Would be even better if there was table service and happy hour on the cocktails. Defo worth a try for the food alone though

Randomly decided that they are not serving food despite still displaying signs. No update online to be found anywhere. A lot of shops shut in Woolocombe centre contrary to their publicly displayed service hours online.

Stopped here for dinner on a sunny and busy Saturday evening. Covid measures still in place with extra cleaning and distancing. Lovely meal taken outside watching a beautiful sunset. All the waiting staff were pleasant, polite and couldn't have been more helpful. Really good place for a meal.

My husband and I ate here whilst on holiday in Woolacombe. Great atmosphere , friendly staff and we really enjoyed the food.

Went as a family of 4, bit of a queue to get in but once in food was excellent quality and really enjoyed it. Good selection of beer and IPA as well.

We visited two days running as it was so good. Great food and great service. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely place located close to the beach. Food was really nice and reasonably priced. Staff were allFriendly. The kitchen closes between lunch and dinner but when we arrived at 5pm (kitchen reopened at 5:30pm) we were told that staff would be taking orders at 5:30. Staff then take orders by order of arrival and the system seems to work well. Will definitely be back.

Two pubs were not offering food tonight due to staff shortages. Queued here and were updated on the situation. What a fantastic attitude from the staff; clearly under pressure but rose to the occasion. Food was really good. We were a party of 14 and they coped admirably saving the last night of our holiday. Thank you!

We have been coming to Woolacombe for years and this has been our favourite bar for the last 10 at least. I have come down with old school friends twice in the last 5 years and they have deemed it the best bar in the world (might have been the beer, wine and cocktails talking). The staff have always been friendly but in the last 2 'covid' years their patience has been undeniably fantastic. Rob and Ed you run a fine Bar with wonderful staff. Thanks for another brilliant year and Ed remember your chosen aspiration for 13th August 2022.

Staff were very accommodating, food was excellent, burgers and the chicken Caesar salad are really good, seating both inside and outside, good atmosphere, highly recommend.

Given the current situation of COVID based staff shortages in Woolacombe there are only a small number of bar/restaurants open at the moment. Thankfully Bar Electric was open and didn’t disappoint. Although we had to wait we were, on each occasion we visited, told there was a wait and a delay in food. Either like it or lump it and we liked it….. Whilst we had to wait for the food it was not disappointing and came within the time quoted. All the staff were working hard and remained professional. Met with friends who were visiting the area and had no problems having our drink In here. Keep it up!

After a wait to be seated, as it was very busy EVERYWHERE we got a table inside. Drinks order taken swiftly, food not far behind. The loveliest atmosphere in this place, modern layout but homely feel. Would of happily stayed all afternoon nursing some wine. Our food arrived and we were not disappointed, some of the best salt and pepper squid.. I should of ordered some to take away. Staff were very attentive , brilliant in these times due to the volume of people on holiday and the lack of hospitality staff wanting to work. Can not recommended this place enough!

Ate here twice during our holiday - absolutely lovely! Service is very friendly and welcoming even when they are clearly very busy. Burgers and chips are delicious. Great atmosphere!

We had a really good meal here - there was a bit of a wait due to staff shortages as there were only three staff due to some of them isolating. But the waiting staff explained the delay before we sat down and were very helpful and polite, despite clearly being stressed and overworked. The food was delicious, our kids enjoyed their meals too and the place was really clean. I'd go back and recommend to a friend any day.

Terrible snotty service. Stood waiting whilst the waitress had a chat with friends. Then told off for asking if we could go straight inside - which is particularly disappointing given it’s very unclear what rules places are now following with the recent changes. Then deliberately left waiting (to no doubt make a point) with 2 children in 27 degrees. Not exactly the tourist experience you’d expect when supposedly bars & restaurants are desperate to get trade back. Not somewhere I’d recommend or will be returning to.

Great place to sit in the sun after a long day at the beach. Best espresso martinis in Woolacombe, food is tasty and staff accommodating. Closed due to Covid whilst we were in town but that’s a sign of the times I guess!

A little disappointed. Dropped it at exactly 2:30pm to be told food had stopped, so we just had a drink and then watched food delivered to neighbouring customers. I appreciate staff need a break, but blimey!, we’ve just come out of a long period of hardship for restaurants and the like, so a bit surprised on a sunny Saturday in July, when loads of tourist were looking to eat, they should close. Perhaps they don’t need the trade?

Lovely food and most of the staff really friendly and accommodating. We had 4 children with us, two of which were babies who were being entertained by watching Douggie before we ordered food. At the end of our meal(weirdly after we’d eaten) the owner asked us to turn the phone down. How miserable of him! He had also asked a group of 4 or 5 men at the side of us to be quiet whilst they were watching football. Funnily enough when I asked the men if they had heard us they said they hadn’t. We hadn’t heard them either. Think the owner had a bee in his bonnet! Needless to say we will be using other more family friendly places to eat for the rest of our holiday. Not really family friendly as advertised!

This bar is so well organised by energetic staff who cannot do enough for you.Rachel and Mala were amazing and went the extra mile to look after us as did all the staff. This is a lively place with a good vibe and a nice selection of food. Young, energetic staff, really friendly and in a great central location. Great for lunch and evenings.

A big thanks to the ladies who we met today with our twins coming out for lunch. They went out of their way to get us a nice table, with some space for our double pushchair despite being very busy. They made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating. The food and drinks were fantastic too.

We were in the town looking for somewhere to eat. We thought it may be an issue getting a table because of Covid limiting space. I spoke to a lovely lady at the entrance who found us a table within a couple of minutes. I watched and there was always a staff member at the entrance to help people. There were 5 of us and we received our drinks quickly. We ordered a range of food, sandwiches, burgers etc and everything arrived in a reasonable time and were delicious. We stayed quite a while after the food, enjoying more drinks and never felt pressured to leave. We were regularly asked if we wanted more drinks. The staff were very friendly. I felt safe as there was a reasonable separation between tables and they were disinfected between customers..

Food was lovely. Staff friendly and available. The sticky toffee pudding was the best.Nice views looking out over the bay. Only downside was wait for food but we were warned about it

When they’re busy food takes a while but they’ll always be honest in terms of the wait time and the food is always tip top.To cap it all the staff are honest, friendly and clearly love working there.Keep it up bar electric. You guys rock!!!!

Visited yesterday for lunch having been confronted with an unwelcoming sign along the lines of 'no dogs allowed anywhere on premises' at the nearby Red Barn. Well, in a way I am pleased that sign was there otherwise we may not have ventured up to Bar Electric where the welcome could not have been different. Engaged with no less than 5 staff throughout lunch and without exception each one made an effort to be really friendly as well as being knowledgeable as to items of the menu / drinks. The food was also excellent and although they do not take reservations, which could lead to disappointment as busier times, Bar Electric will be our new first port of call in Woolacombe for lunch, dinner or even just drinks.

Absolutely wonderful place, great food and drinks. Staff are so friendly and helpful and definitely go above and beyond to make your visit a great one.Lovely view of the sea and dogs are made welcome, can’t wait to return again next year.

We came here just for drinks and this place was lovely. Chilled music playing in the background, staff attentive and generally a nice vibe. We ordered Pimms and they came beautifully presented with all the garnish, perfect on a sunny day! You have a great view of the beach and it’s a nice spot to watch the world go by for a bit. We didn’t eat but walking past the kitchen to use the facilities, dinner smelt wonderful!

After a long, long lockdown, what better than the friendly staff at Bar Electric!A fabulous patio area in the sun, enjoying the sites and the fantastic drinks. Over priced and not helpful staff. Really squeezed in, not COVID compliant. Expensive even for Woolacombe. Don’t waste your time, go elsewhere.

We ate here as a family of 5 and I would highly recommend it. We had a short wait for a table, we were acknowledged straight away and soon as a table became available we were shown to it. The location is lovely overlooking the sea. We have a few starters to share and I have to say the calamari was amazing. The mains were lovely, good choice of children’s meals and the burgers are amazing.The service is great, drinks orders being taken first and then food orders in the order you arrive. Very well organised and the timing is fantastic- efficient but not rushed at all giving you time to enjoy your drinks and the view.Dog friendly with a bowl of water available for the dog which is an added touch. Can’t wait to go back for another visit before he head home.

Five of us visited for lunch just before Lockdown 2. The staff were friendly and very efficient, and the food (generous portions) and drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. Only spoilt by having smelly dogs at nearby tables.

Best place to eat and drink in Woolacombe without a doubt. Staff are all friendly and great. Food is fantastic. Our little dog is welcome and the kids love it. Lovely little candles when it gets dark outside. Keep it up guys.

We have the Red Barn to thank for finding Bar Electric after they unceremoniously told us dogs weren’t welcome anymore. We received a warm welcome at Bar Electric where the friendly staff found us a dog friendly table with comfy settees. The food was amazing and we had a lovely relaxed evening. We visit Woolacombe every year and will certainly make sure we eat out at Bar Electric again.

Ventured to Bar Electric for an Afternoon drink - looks like every thing is in control in these strange time - Table service is the way forward. Cheers all.

Seated to have a drink first, was quickly seated to a table. The waitress we had catered for my husbands allergy (onions) which isn’t easy at the best of times. Food was tasty and decent portions. We will be back the next evening of our break. Thank you

The opinions expressed here are of my own and in no way associated with Bar Electic. After arriving in Woolacombe on Friday we drank and dined at the Red Barn on our first evening. We also visited Bar Electric for a few more G&T`s like one does, the bar staff were excellent and most welcoming, the ambience of the place was great, nice and clean and had a good vibe to it.We decided to eat there the following evening, after arriving and ordering a round of drinks we looked at the menu and placed our orders. A Pizza, a pulled pork roll, a burger and calamari. At this point we were told that we would have a 50 minute wait, ok we said we would still go with it. As time went on we were getting to that point of no return so decided to order some appetizers as we were told they could get that to us a lot quicker, the truth of the matter was we still had a long wait for that to arrive. When it did arrive it was hot and all had a great taste from the various dishes we had ordered.Eventually the main meals arrived and in all honesty they were a bit of a dissapointment. The burger was just a bland tasting piece of tight textured piece of burger, from memory i`m pretty sure it was advertised as a gourmet burger but happy to be stood corrected on that. The calamari was definitely overcooked to the point that the batter was really dark brown and tasted as if it had been fried in old cooking oil, the pizza had a nice thin crust as promised but was lacking a lot of garnish such as olives, and apparently the pulled pork roll was just ok according to my wife but nothing outstanding.I am still not sure what the real reason was for such a long wait to get our order out on time, as I noted there were at least 5 tables who came in after us and were all served before us, maybe the chef had difficulty getting four meals out all at once. Overall the prices charged for the food was not reflected in what was dished up. A real shame when something so simple to achieve is messed up, I do not expect a huge plate of food for my money but I do expect value for money. This fell way short of that mark imho.

Okay so we didn't intend to come to Bar Electric as we were looking for a roast (with it being a Sunday of course) but I am actually glad the place we were hoping for was fully booked... the staff greeted us quickly and so friendly it was as if we were regulars which was so nice. We sat down and there was no rush to decide; which is good as quite frankly, the menu was making me drawl so I was struggling to make a decision and so was my wife! As she is vegetarian this isn't something we are used to!So I went for the club burger, bun-less and with a corn whilst wifey went for the hello me burger... our socks were thoroughly knocked off!! I haven't eaten anything so tasty in a while...so much so I didn't take a picture...until I had finished....No words other than...Get yourself in here!!!!

In need of a beverage while waiting for our accommodation to be made ready. Our usual watering hole was closed so went to Bar Electric. What can I say ? The staff were friendly and so welcoming and had no problems with use having dogs with us. We returned for lunch and had a really good pizza washed down with Rattler cider. 1st class!!!

Had the most glorious afternoon here in the sun. Food was really good and menu different from other restaurants here which was refreshing. Service was incredible and staff super friendly. Drinks however were not good. Had no real flavour and tasted cheap. Luckily one did get replaced but rest still weren’t that nice. Other than that highly recommend.

Whilst staying near Woolacombe, family were camping there so we had a small socially distanced get together. Popped here for a drink and some food before watching the sunset. Burgers are lush, good array of gins and also cocktails. Staff really pleasant and adhering to Covid guidelines. Felt safe whilst enjoying good food and drinks and banter x

Really great food and drinks oh and they are still dog friendly, the views are also fantastic. But most of all is how safe they have made it during this difficult time. Well done guys see you next year.

Great lunch after a walk on the beach. Tried on spec and was a great decision.. I had the Club burger and my wife the GF veggie pizza and the food was great. Staff friendly and helpful so what more do you need.

Fabulous Gluten Free menu. Not advertised in big enough print on the menu! Almost anything can be accommodated.

Came here to eat on a Tuesday night. Paid £4 for parking. Came early to get a table and willing to wait if not. They had a sign up saying drinks only. Apparently not serving food on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Everywhere else fully booked. Nowhere to go and waste of money on parking. They should put on the website or voicemail when they don’t serve food, as we did take the time to check. We even tried to call to double double check but nobody ever answers the phone.

Really great food & decent priced drinks, making a super evening meal. Cracking menu, something for all. Social distancing we’ll managed too 👍

Went there on a Monday night and it was extremely busy with the eat out to help out .Food was great service was top notch a big big thank you to Ruth and Jamie who looked after us extremely well we do hope to get back there before we go back home

Really enjoyed our lunch here! There’s no booking and lunch isn’t available to order until 12:30, but we got there at 12:15 we’re seated straight away and had eaten within the hour. Staff were really friendly and the food was brilliant! We had the pulled pork flatbread, would really recommend!

Just to warn you no booking in school holidays. My sister is temporarily in a wheelchair so we arrived and waited less than 5 mins to be seated. Staff were amazing. We opted for inside table as weather a bit rough. The lady who seated us was a little worried about offering us a large coffee table because of my sisters chair but we sorted things out and we were fine.There was a wait but we got drinks and the staff kept popping over. We ordered in turn of arrival. We were told it would be 30mins so I took my nephew to the shops to buy fudge and toys and my other 1/2 bought a wetsuit!Food was lovely. Whitebait and squid amazing and I’ve been lucky enough to eat seafood around the world!We had burgers for mains. I don’t normally choose a burger but boy was I pleased I did! Deep blue with blue cheese and the chicken club were both amazing. I shared with my other 1/2- I’m not a total pig!Even though we were quit satisfied we managed to share the lemon tart with raspberry sorbet- delicious!Overall an excellent experience. Yes things are a bit strange everywhere with COVID but We really enjoyed dinner last night. Oh, the thatchers cider went down very easily too!

Excellent venue with beautiful views. Kept immaculately and cleaned constantly. Food was great and we were served by the most delightful young lady named Rachael. She was a font of local knowledge and could not help out enough. Highly recommended bar and food. Oh, did I mention how lovely Rackell was?....what a dream of a lady

The atmosphere and staff have absolutely excelled with service this evening a calm, attentive team considering the sun was shining and exceptionally busy. The wait on the food although a little long, was absolutely worth it due to the freshness and taste, honestly, amazing food. With a huge range of gluten free products. Made our evening, thank you very much. Especially too Anna and Tom. Even with our number of table moves, the couple of minutes wait for a table outside with their amazing view was absolutely worth it. Thank you again, will definitely see you soon.

Brilliant experience. Popped in here for a drink but ended up staying for food as the whole atmosphere was so inviting and friendly. The staff were so accommodating as nothing was to much to ask! Spoilt for choice with veggie/vegan. Pizza was done to perfection and falafel burger was yummy! We would definitely return when here again! Thank you all!

Sit and watch the sun go down while enjoying good food. Service is good and the place is clean, friendly and well run. Even when busy, the food doesn’t take long. It’s well situated in the centre of Woolacombe with a view out to Lundy Island and a perfect sunset.

We were looking for a good old fashioned pub which the lovely Woolacombe does not have! However, what we discovered was this amazing bar. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, Barney our dog was given much love and the food was exceptional. We went there on the first night and Becky the wife of one of the owners, had prepared that day a Thai Curry - it was delicious. On our final night we went there again and was disappointed to see that Becky had not prepared any specials, HOWEVER, our disappointment turned around as we perused the menu and chose 4 of the starters, Gyoza dumplings - beautiful, Chilli squid - delicious, Halloumi chips - amazing never had before and were fantastic and whitebait - beautifully cooked and large whitebait all of these came with the great dressings and we added the Buddha Salad with chicken. All dishes were served together and we picked and left not a crumb, could not fault any dish. You must try Bar Electric for food. Must mention here we tried 2 different wines and both were good.

We have been visiting this bar for the last 6 years with our family. Lovely decorated bar and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. They do fantastic cocktails here and on Fridays from 8 pm they do 2 cocktails for the price of one. They also advertise live music but unfortunately we have never managed to be there when it’s on. They also offer a selection of food here too.

Excellent bar serving food. Due to low season Bar Electric only opens towards the end of the week. On visit it was full of locals always a good sign. Extremely clean and staff were super friendly. Decent bar menu although we didnt eat here, drinks reasonably priced. Well worth a visit.

Ok for a late drink, simple place with nice front terrace. Drink selection is sting and good G+T’s also. Nothing special to write home about but serves as a perfectly ok place for a drink

Had a pretty nice pizza here for a fair price. Nothing exceptional but good value and ok venue. Seating could be more spaced out and 1 table had inaccessible chairs? :/

We came here for some dinner as a family. The view was lovely and there was a great atmosphere. My mezze meal was gorgeous, as were the starters, but my husband's burger was pretty rubbish- a tiny burger in a massive untoasted batch. However, this didn't ruin our experience, just a bad choice this time.

Take my kids every time we visit Woolacombe and wish they did early food as they are a step above most others for pub grub. It’s great portions, lovely surroundings, good beer and lovely friendly atmosphere make it my go-to dinner after a good day on the beach whatever the weather! Plenty of variety as well as curry nights and amazing tacos... I saw a guy wtith a plate full of my favourite cheesy taco dish and ordered a large to match his....only to be delivered a monstrous platter which would have fed all three of us! Great place, go see for yourself!

I googled where to get GF food from in Woolacombe and this Bar came up as one. When we arrived on Friday after a 6 hour drive, we immediately went here for our food and they did not disappoint!

The food here was so good and amazing value for money. We ordered the nachos which was a huge portion, so do recommend sharing or ordering a smaller version. Nice atmosphere. Order at the bar, service was quick.

Big Wave beer from Hawai was really an excellent lager.

Sticky tables and doors, music was too loud to hear my girlfriend that was sat next to me. Slow service and soggy food. Was not impressed.

After a long long journey to get to Woolacombe, I just needed a nice cold beer. I was so glad that this place served my favourite beer on tap, Peroni.
