Visiting Tiverton for the week and just went pot luck. The steakhouse was busy enough on a Tuesday night and looked welcoming. The lady serving was really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We had a perfectly nice starter and then my husband had a steak on a hot plate while I had salmon. Both meals were lovely and I couldn’t fault. We finished with really nice cocktails. Very glad we found this place.

Had an icecream board outside so thought lovely, will buy an icecream to have walking along the canal. Asked to buy to take away, got told my order (1 x cone) would get put with the cafe kitchen orders, of which there were four in front of me . . . for an icecream cone! You might want to rethink this Canal Tea Rooms . . .

My 2 bored daughters from NYC on a grey day enjoyed lovely tomato soup with chicken sandwiches, salad and chips. The friendly staff got them in the frame and we laughed a lot. It was nice to see my kids have fun. And the coffee is large and piping hot, sitting under the canopy watching the cinema of life.

An absolute gem in the heart of Mid Devon. A fantastic clean establishment, a warm welcome, by friendly efficient staff. The food here is top notch, a wide and varied range of choices from all over India, the most difficult thing is to try and choose your meal. The colours and aroma's of the food make you feel like you are in India, fragrant tasting food served to your table piping hot, and with a hot plate, so the food stays hotter longer. This has become my favourite Indian restaurant in the area, in fact it is one of the best Indian's I have ever experienced anywhere.

One of our favourite places to dine out. The food is freshly cooked, tasty, and varied. Part of the week they have an eat all you want menu (as long as you eat what's on your plate). My plate has always been cleared as the food is too good to leave. The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Recommend to anyone.

Found here on a magical mystery drive round the lanes of Devon. Stopped for a bite to eat and drinks the food was lovely nice to see they offered devon red zero cider. Realkt refreshing. The mill also offers lots of things to buy from toys to home furnishing. You can see the mill workings on different levels worth a visit

Been to this place a few times over the years, every time I visit it seems to be under new management. I don’t write many reviews but just wanted to mention what a friendly and well managed pub it seems to be. Very welcoming, comfortable, the fire was lit and the beer well kept. I go to a lot of pubs and enjoy trying out ones I’m less familiar with. This definitely gets my recommendation.

The prices of food and drink are all in line with other national trusts, a little more on the expensive side for someone with an average wage, but that’s ok. Of all the national trust restaurant we go to, I seem to enjoy this one the most, the staff seem really friendly and kind and are always doing their best to get through the hoards of people that visit on the weekends. Keep up the good work, you’re doing great.
