Absolutely love Ponte Vecchio Tiverton! It never disappoints and the food and service was 1st Class as always. I’ve been to several Italian restaurants in my time and this is by far the most superior and authentic venue. I would also like to pay a Special mention and thanks to Erion who is a credit to the restaurant. He made our night with the banter from my crazy /mad Italian family and provided great entertainment for the rest of the restaurant 😜 Thank you for another amazing meal and superb service !!!!

We had a great time at this restaurant. They managed to fit us in on a Friday evening giving short notice. The restaurant was very busy and the atmosphere was excellent. The food is brilliant and the menu was extensive I would really recommend this place.

We had our dog with us and, although dogs aren’t allowed in the restaurant, they have a hard covered area at the rear where we were able to sit. It was quite cosy despite the rain and wind that was building up and there are patio heaters if needed. Service was very friendly and efficient and the food was fabulous. We thought the prices were quite reasonable for a top quality Italian restaurant.

Unexpectedly delicious! It has to be illegal to get here without Italian visa as it tastes like Italy. Unexpectedly - because most of restaurants in the UK are mediocre and overpriced, but this one is definitely worth the money. Great quality food and excellent service.

Cannot fault our experience at Ponte Vecchio, Tiverton. Everything including the welcome, the service, the food, the atmosphere was positive. The restaurant was fairly busy and there were plenty of staff visible and serving diners. Our food was served really quickly and was delicious.

Called in for lunch and escape the rain and was so surprised by the wonderful setting, menu and staff that greeted us. Beautiful pizza and great pasta. Fairly priced and served by polite and attentive guys. Couldn’t fault and will def be back.

Friendly atmosphere, quite casual, the food isn't bad but not particularly authentic. it was a convenient stopover on a journey southwest and not too bad value considering how much things cost everywhere now...

Went to visit life long friends in Tiverton. They suggested your restaurant for lunch. The service, food and premises were all excellent. Thanks to the staff, (see pictures) who made this a lovely day out. Will be back in Tivvy and eating here again.

Fabulous food and unhurried service in a very pleasant setting.

We really loved our experience back in March 2024, so rebooked. I ordered a Carbonara and my partner, a dish with chicken breast and mushroom/white wine sauce. The food arrived in good time, but I was dismayed at the small portion of Carbonara. It honestly resembled a starter. It was also very salty and lay atop a pool of oil. My partner enjoyed her meal and was kind enough to offer me some of hers. I ended up having to order a garlic bread to supplement the meagre portion I was served. The Pinot Grigio wasn't anything special either, and to be overpriced. We shall not be returning

Wow, first time here and I am more than impressed, as soon as I entered I was met with a smile, the service was above and beyond expectations, the hot fresh food arrived in less than ten minutes . The atmosphere was comfortable and relaxing, very pleasant and busy employees, the owners must be so proud of their team, thank you so much , I will be back again with the whole family next time ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Parents had heard great things about Ponte Vecchio from their friends so we went for dinner when I was visiting. Whilst it’s certainly a great gem for Tiverton, maybe I was expecting too much as the food unfortunately didn’t live up to the hype. The lasagne didn’t have any defined layers and was more of a mush. The salmon risotto and the seafood linguine were nice however. Desserts were nice but felt bought in / mass produced. I’m guessing they were busy as empty glasses were left on the table and we weren’t proactively asked if we wanted more water or wine. Overall, glad we went but doubt we’ll be rushing back.

Very good italian restaurant. Room was slightly cramped with slightly too many tables (but this is replicating the Italian experience). We had 5 in the party, and all were greatly impressed with our food. When our food first came out I (honestly) thought the portions were a bit small, but how wrong was I? The pasta I had was rich, flavoursome, and perfectly cooked, as we're the other items ordered. The selections of wine were more than good enough. I ordered a glass of the montepulcciano, and it was excellent. Will gladly return if I'm ever back in Tiverton!!

Allowed us to takes our 2 little dogs in (outside). Brilliant service and food. Very flavoursome! We did not have to wait very long in between drinks or courses. Higher recommended.

Such a nice restaurant. I had a Caprese salad and the house pizza. Both were fresh and well presented. The pizza may be the best pizza I've had here or in Italy. Prices are reasonable and the service is friendly and very attentive. I would strongly recommend if you are in town.

Absolutely lovely, the food was delicious 😋 the service was great, served by a very handsome young man with a very nice genuine smile. Not many other patrons there when we visited, but it was still a nice cozy atmosphere. My two younger siblings and one cousin made a happy hour all together. Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Lovely little place. Quite overpriced for the quality of food, but service was good, and they were very accommodating. They do cocktails, too, so not all bad.

Great Italian restaurant in Devon. Homemade linguine as well as Tiramisu are nice. What I would like to recommend is their coffee which you won’t find it very deep roasted however it’s quite balanced in everything.

Far to cramped in there you can't hear what anyone is saying ,the food is ok not mind blowing very expensive and we all paid our bills seperate but still 100 a drift

A lot of choice on the food menu, excellent pizza, and attentive staff. In fact, I thought the food was excellent. I would say that I found the house wine quite average though. All in all, a good night out and would recommend.

Great authentic Italian food. Well priced and probably the best place to eat in Tiverton.

Booked online just a few hours ahead and it was a good job I did as it was busy (on a Monday evening). Excellent service, fabulous food and relaxed atmosphere. A little on the pricey side for a small town restaurant but worth every penny. 3 courses and 2 drinks each for 2 people came out around £95

The sea bass was absolutely fabulous. Almost beating the best in Europe Picolli Arco in Wokingham. That’s my view and I am sticking to it.

Find yourself in Tiverton then this fine Italian restaurant is well worth visiting. Great service and quality food combine in a well destined setting. The seafood linguine is excellent as is the calamari starter. Recommended.

I came in yesterday with some friends for lunch. We had a lovely meal and the service was great. My son loved his spaghetti Bolognese and I loved my pizza. Very family friendly. We will definitely be back!

Lovely visit for a birthday meal with a group of 20+ people. All food came out promptly for everyone. My personal main was a little over salty and garlic bread was relatively lacking in flavour but everyone else was quite impressed by the food. The level of service was great nice to have the back room allocated to ourselves for such a big group. I would come again to try more of the menu.

Erion 🐪🐪 is a legend and the food was delicious! Recommend the carbonara

We had just come back from Venice and had to stay in Tiverton for a function. The food at Ponte Vecchio was better then any of the food we had in Venice. The waitress, Ana, was fantastic.

This is such a good place to eat. The food is beautiful, the staff friendly and efficient. Branzino Ponte Vecchio is just awesome - probably the nicest sea bass I have tasted, flanked by mussels and king prawns. This will be a regular haunt from now on. Edit: We've been again (March 2024) and it has lost none of its charm. An ordinary Wednesday night in an ordinary market town, and every table was taken. That tells you how popular this restaurant is. The food remains splendid - if I ever find myself on Death Row being asked what I want for my last meal, I shall go for Branzino Ponte Vecchio and crème brulée.

Superb first visit, lovely cocktails and the food was fantastic

Our first time here, it was absolutely packed on a Wednesday night so you it's going to be good. We were not disappointed, food was so lovely, all 3 courses. The bellinis were lovely and went down well too. All staff were very welcoming and jovial. Our waiter Oscar was wonderful, he was very attentive, nothing was too much trouble, despite how busy it was. He was professional whilst being funny and down to earth. He really made it a lovely experience and is an asset to the restaurant. We would highly recommend this restaurant.

Birthday celebration- just a quiet one but all very lovely

First visit tonight, having heard many people say how good this place is. They're not wrong! Food was wonderful and service spot on. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal last Friday at Ponte Vecchio with mostly hits and a couple of misses. We were super impressed with our main meals. The risotto and pasta mains really packed flavour and tasted very nice. Slightly underwhelmed with our calamari starter and found this quite chewy and stringy. The creme brulee was too eggy for me but my wife didn't mind it as much. The restaurant itself was very smart looking and service was very good. Staff were attentive and looked after us. Overall, a lovely experience and I would return if ever in the area again.

Just come back from our first visit to Ponte Vecchio. I'd read some great reviews, and had heard from a work colleague about how good the food is, and they weren't wrong. Had the antipasti starter to share, absolutely delicious, and we had cheesy garlic bread too.. if you don't like Garlic bread generally, then this one will change your mind!! The olive bread that came with the antipasti was like eating air, it was so light and fluffy, but so full of flavour. The main we had, can't remember it's name, looked like it was a small plate of food when it arrived, but there was more than enough, and it was fantastic. Tiramisu and cheesecake for dessert were the best we've ever, ever had.Great friendly staff, they had made a note of it being my partners birthday and had decorated his dessert plate. lovely atmosphere, and I highly recommend the place. Will definitely be back, and soon! Fabulous.

This was my second time coming here after a very positive first experience. I ordered the calamari as all my previous food tasted fresh, but when it arrived, it was very chewy, over cooked and clearly frozen. I should have sent it back, but I didn’t want to ruin our dinner or cause a scene- I only ate it as I was hungry. The soup was great value gif money and delicious, but mine wasn’t. The staff didn’t ask how any of our meals were when we were eating, I didn’t have the chance to send it back- anyway it was almost inedible. The dessert, however, was wonderful and my partner loved all of his food, which was great, as I wanted to treat him after working all of Valentine’s Day. It was such a shame and gif the prices we have to pay now, I would have expected more

Had a brilliant meal with my wife for her birthday. Staff were very polite and helpful, food tasted great and was good to see it full on a weeknight. Definitely book if you plan to go. We will definitely be planning another meal there again soon.

The starters were on the small side, whitebait and calamar but nicely cooked and tasty likewise the garlic bread. Limited choice of wine as,seems to be the norm in uk restaurants these days.
