Fabulous date night with lots of delicious food - especially loved the white pizza (balsamic onions were genius!), courgette fritters, garlic bread & tiramisu- such a great vibe, attentive staff - supper accommodating and really lovely view overlooking the garden.

Belluno never fails to deliver! We visited for my mother in law’s birthday and all 7 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The atmosphere and service were second to none too. Thank you for a lovely evening!

We were there for the good value lunch menu but actually I chose my starter (beetroot carpacchio with pickled walnuts) from the a la carte, delicious! All 3 of us chose the salmon as a main course and it was perfectly cooked and presented, really good. I finished with pavlova, fresh and faultless. I am still thinking about it now!

Update (July 2024): Another excellent experience with lovely food - just love that pickled vegetables entreê - served in a very cheerful and helpful manner by Evie and Hebe. Becoming our favourite go-to supper venue. Original: Great first visit. Arrived early so quite quiet but beginning to fill up when we left at 8pm, which is not that surprising on a Friday evening. Very quick and efficient service from Ingrida who was impeccably polite. Lovely food, just had a starter platter for two and then a pizza each. Very filling portions and very, very tasty. We'll be going back, I am sure, but at a slightly quieter time which we happen to prefer. Hope all goes well for this nice and friendly restaurant.

Calamari was awful. Lasagna was OK, pizza was great wine over priced

I took a friend for her birthday. We had the lunch set menu. I ordered 2 glasses of Rosa Pino Grigio and was served with 2 white wines. My friends lasagne was cold in the middle and had to send back. We ordered 2 tea's and was brought goodness knows what and on asking the waiter he said he didn't know what it was as he only drunk coffee - not what I call a front of house person. I have had far better service and meals in the past bot will not be back in a hurry Gill Howison

Had the best time at Belluno ! The Gamberoni was amazing and I had the picante pizza for main ! You can’t and won’t get better pizza anywhere . The staff are always so kind and helpful , a really good atmosphere .

Delicious food and friendly staff. Unfortunately the smoke alarm kept going off, which was annoying, but we could see they were trying to fix it. And the waitress brought us bread and olives on the house to compensate, along with many apologies. She's was lovely, very polite. I would recommend and visit again.

The resturant is beautiful, the staff are very friendly. The food is what you would get from a fine dinning resturant. We had the lunch menu, I had the spageti and my partner had the lasagne, it was litrally perfect. Highly reccommend and thank you.

Absolutely phenomenal food and service!! Food was incredibly tasty and despite being full, I was able to take my remaining meal home with no problems. We have been before a couple of years ago, and it is still such a high standard!

It felt like an Italian restaurant, which would be unsurprising in Italy, but is nice in Devon.

Family friendly Italian, we stopped on our way home from holiday based on other good reviews and were very pleased. Excellent food including great desserts actually created on the premises which makes a change. Will come back another time.

Highly recommend! Been coming here since they first opened, Food is always fresh and good quality, very tasty and perfect portion size. The cocktails are great every time, I came in Tuesday 21st may evening with my husband just for a cocktail and I'm never let down by this amazing restaurant. The service from all the employees and management are friendly and professional, and they go out of their way to give you the best dining experience l, I even order for collections sometimes and it's been just as good quality. My favourite thing on the menu is the truffle arancini! I hope that comes back as it wasn't on the menu the last time I ordered a month ago. Anyone looking for a restaurant, look no further.

Delicious calzone, lovely prosecco and good service. Food was delivered promptly, we had a lovely table by the windows and a view onto a small garden. The seating was a little cramped, however, it was comfortable and we had a lovely evening. Thank you.

Slow service. Waitress friendly but constantly berated by the manager in earshot of customers. Food extremely overpriced for what it is. Very bland and certainly nothing special. Manager miserable and brusque. No atmosphere. Overall a disappointing experience.

Im unsure if its under new managment but this last 12 months, belluno seems to have really gone down hill. My family have frequented the resteraunt for many years and the food used to be amazing, unfortunatly, the last 3 times, the food has been nothing special. Our last visit totaled over £500, the 2x lasagne has 100% been in the microwave. 3 steaks were ordered, all medium rare, 2 came medium well and one was blue, several of the chips that were ordered had chips that were undercooked and some of them had only 5 or 6 wear as others would have 9 or 10. One of the pizzas still had raw dough throughout the base, the scallops starter was overcooked and like rubber. The only good dishes that were actually nice, was one of the spagetti bolognese and a carbonara. After speaking to a friend I found out that belluno had recently come into some problems with the immigration services which figures because when we used to dine there, the staff were mostly italian, where as now they are mostly english. Unfortunately its not a place my family will be frequenting in the future as the prices now well and truely outweigh the quality. Its very unfortunate as belluno was our no1 celebration spot for birthdays and family get togethers. Sorry to the staff, but i belive in being honest, ive always left at least £20 tip to our servers as they have always been very friendly, but the food is no longer what it once was.

Food is delicious. Very sadly let down by a sullen abrupt young serving lady, who seemed to be having a very bad day and practically threw our plates and cutlery down.

Easily the best Italian food I've had in England. Unfortunately the service staff seem pretty unengaged and borderline grumpy, but it's not enough to put us off the food so we come back anyway!

Information on menu very poor, doesn’t tell you the sizes of pizza, a friend ordered a lasagna which came in a small dish on a plate ( with nothing else no salad no chips nothing) . Another main meals came out quite small in size for the price in my opinion. A friend ordered a dessert which looked lovely said it was very nice. In conversation no one said how lovely their main meal was, which is normal conversation for a group of 7 people out for dinner. Prices are high!!! When I went to pay he was sorting out another customer internet connection , part of our group so she could pay her bit of the bill, so I was told to wait and then he side tract me to another member of our group who paid the whole bill. When I had asked and checked because I wanted to pay just my own. Definitely will not be returning , no listening skills no manners. The pizza oven looks very nice, restaurant area clean and tidy and the tables well spaced apart.

We used to enjoy the delicious lasagne which we had many times visiting over the years but the last visit was disappointing. Very little meat and too much pasta. Soup was very nice but the garlic mushroom dish was completely different to that of previous. Prices have risen but sadly the dishes contents have reduced. It has been an establishment we have frequented many times in the past but sadly we will not be returning.

Over priced and very disappointing had what was supposed to be 10oz ribeye and was more like a 6 oz. Would not go here again.

Starters and pizza very good, but crab ravioli a bit of a let down (particularly the large fragment of crab shell which was unexpectedly in one of them - thankfully no lasting harm done but OUCH!). Would probably try this place again in future but would definitely have a different main course!

Very hospitable welcome from the staff on a cold and wet November night. Popped in while travelling and without reading any reviews and delighted by the quality of the offering. In particular the Involtini Di Angello which was outstanding. Looking forward to our next visit and being able to explore the menu further.

What an excellent Italian, great food, skilled staff, lovely atmosphere!

Went for dinner on an important anniversary day and have got to say we couldn’t be more impressed with the food! The pasta and pizza were incredible. However the incredible food was let down by the service. Even though the place shut at 10pm, at 9:20 we felt very much rushed out the door, all Though there was one more party still there. The two young front of house girls we had to start with couldn’t have been more polite, however an older gentleman in a suit came across rather rude, pushy and was circling our table towards the end of the meal, which didn’t feel very hospitable. Just gave us an impression that’s we very much needed to leave asap. (Which I would get if it was 9:45, but the place was still open for another 45/50 mins, and there was another party there who was chatting away and having drinks and we had booked a table at 8pm and it wasn’t busy that evening we were there. We ended up waiting outside in the cold for a lift we were expecting, as we didn’t feel comfortable enough to wait inside for 10 more minutes) Ultimately left a sour taste to the evening on what was a very good night up to that point. Would very much recommend going aslong as the table is booked before 7:30pm and it’s not more than a party off 4.

As always excellent food and a great atmosphere. One of our favourites. It was just unfortunate 5 days after visiting four of our party, who do not otherwise live together, or socialise, tested positive for Covid. However this will not put us off, we will be back!

We love coming here. The food is delicious and the service is excellent.

Stopped in looking to have lunch as a couple. The restaurant seemed clean and tidy with nice decor. The restaurant wasn't busy only two other diners but the staff seemed tired and not particularly welcoming. The service for two drinks was very slow and then when they arrived they were both wrong. There wasn't a single vegan option on the menu so sadly we left.

We’d read mixed reviews so visited to decide for ourselves. On the face of it some of the bad reviews seem a bit unfair but it’s expensive for what it is and not great. Very poor vegan choice.

Very quiet restaurant, staff seemed unwelcoming and tired. The two drinks we ordered took ages to arrive and then were incorrect. The restaurant seemed clean and tidy with pleasant decor. Sadly there wasn't a single vegan option on the menu so we left .

Fantastic italian with a big heart in a little village. I have been going here for several years as both a restaurant diner but also for takeaways. Always loved the quality taste and presentation. However tonight may just well have been my last visit there. To call their prices extortionate might just be an understatement. For an adult and child dish with a cheese garlic bread has set me back nearly £31!! When i returned home i realised that portion sizes had suffered a similar fate to chocolate bats; smaller amounts but instead with increased pricing. Let me be clear; the adult meal consisted of pasta bolognese with added cheese, a 1/3 pot size of pasta carbonara and the cheesy garlic bread. Pound for pound the most expensive takeaway ive ever eaten. I would have left it there and solely voted with my feet - except the food quality was not great either. The child portion of the carbonara contained several hard stone-bits (see image attatched) that were inedible. The adult dish was requested as tagliatelle pasta with extra chillis but was neither tagliatelle nor with any spicy flavour. A real let down on this occasion. To be fair i will add that upon checking that my pasta dish was indeed tagliatelle (twice verified on phone order) i was told that they had made spaghetti instead. Not my preference but i chose to accept this, when offered by the waitress to recook the dish, rather than allow for a remake of this dish to save other food going cold. So that offer was appreciated. But for this kind of money from an out of town restaurant with potentially lower overheads - i would have expected/have received a lot better here.

Sadly was very poor 1 very cold pizza and two burnt ones chips also cold tomato and onion salad was fine - staff did not care manageress blamed the kitchen said she is just the waitress !! Said it DLL really sooooo disappointed

Have been here twice before , great both times. How it is has changed now. Two pizzas at £18.95 per person !! In addition to the price the content was poor , a few scanty prawns with a slight taste of smoked salmon and very dry. I do understand times are hard for the industry but they are equally hard for the general public so if value for money is not given then customers will not return, in this case neither will we . Sorry.

Simply the best if you want authentic Italian food with excellent service. Whatever you request, they will accommodate and meet your needs. Ignore all the bad press and just try this place out, you will not be disappointed!

No record of our booking on arrival but found us a table. Waitress friendly and tried hard but was let down by poor management. Tables of 2 and 7 people arrived after us and got their food before us. Asked manager but he didn't seemed concerned. 1 hour and 10 mins later food arrived which was good. Didn't stay for dessert. When paying we questioned booking and he had our name in diary but not transferred onto front of house list. Very dismissive of service we received. Certainly won't be returning.

Eye watering prices. Simply don’t know how anyone can afford to eat here. Used to be good food for a reasonable price but odd atmosphere and crazy prices now.

We live locally and have heard great things, so we thought we give it a try and booked a table for my birthday celebrations on a Sunday 6 August. What we heard was true! Great food - we all had different dishes to include Sunday Roast, all of which were delicious and fantastically presented even the children's pizza which were huge! Wonderful ambience, very relaxed and beautifully clean too! Lots of friendly staff, keen to help and very polite. Good value for freshly cooked cuisine. We will be back! Thanks very much for a wonderful experience.

Both Belluno restaurants never fail to please but Newton St Cyres branch excelled today with tempura cod with couscous and duck breast with crushed potatoes and orange and blackberry sauce. The food is always beautifully presented and very tasty

Today me, my husband & daughter went to Belluno for mothers day and they served our daughter cream on her dessert from the childrens menu that was completely off. Luckily i tasted it and noticed so i was able to stop her eating the rest!!...

So wanted to like this restaurant, having driven past so many times. Sadly the pasta was overcooked, and the service was without a smile.

Have been to Belluno,'s for their set price lunch on several occasions and have always enjoyed it. This week I had a lovely evening meal there and it was fab. The service was friendly and efficient and the food was excellent; my seafood risotto was tasty and filling and everyone in my party enjoyed their meal. We had garlic bread and olives as a starter, a main course and dessert and drinks for about £35 each, which I thought was very reasonable. Great atmosphere, great food, great service and very fair prices, highly recommended.

Had a birthday dinner out... very quiet atmosphere, cause it was the beginning of the week... nice choices of food to cater for everyone's dietary needs.....5 stars recommendation posted on the entrance...a bit expensive, but worth a treat for that special occasion..

Amazing restaurant we came already twice, traditional tasty food and wines, the best Italian restaurant for me in the uk so far. Delicious and well prepared food excellent presentation and quality service. The staff were alright and the prices are high but it is worth it.

We popped in to give this place a go today and found a little gem. I rarely eat anywhere nowadays, that I enjoy better than my own cooking....but not here. We ate off the 2 course set lunch menu, which at £14.95 was great value....

We visited with my elderly parents- the hosts were very helpful and welcoming, especially for my Mum who’s in a wheelchair. The food was delicious- perfect-size portions for lunchtime. We’ll definitely return!

Having moved into Newton St Cyres last weekend, we decided to try out our local restaurant, having heard good things. It absolutely did not disappoint! Delicious food, great staff (attentive and friendly without being obtrusive), and brilliant atmosphere. We'll certainly be returning .... often!

Unfortunately been here a few times and cant fault the food . However tonight's service and lack of enthusiasm from waitresses was below average none of them looked like they wanted to be there . Although not very busy ..it was a birthday no lemon chello offered coffee without little biscuit bill with no choclate ..and one waitress stood on her phone not your normal happy attentive enthusiastic service.. left a bit flat ..after spending £150 ..
