We went there for lunch the coke was flaat I told the waiter he said I am the boss I can't change it so I am lying. One waiter said they don't get any food in luch or tips this is inhuman. Nevertheless we are not going there again

Fantastic food beautifully presented and very pleasant staff.

Normally would have a steakhouse but decided to have an Indian instead. Well we weren’t disappointed the food and service is probably the best you will come across. You could not fault any part of it from the appetiser the starter the main but we could not make the desert to full. Overall great place to eat . Well done team we will be back. Andy&nikki Tavistock

Without doubt the best curry house in the Tiverton area. Not only were the meals tasty, hot, and wholesome, but the service and attention to detail were second to none.

We had an excellent meal, the Lamb Ginger Handi was particularly delicious, and our Nan breads were crisp and light. We ate in, and the restaurant is comfortable, light, with pleasant background music that really added to the overall atmosphere. Highly recommend

Worst staff approach & Behaviour!! Food is not up to mark..!!

I ordered chicken tikka biryani. It’s just rice with chilli powder. Poor hospitality and maintenance. Didn’t maintain minimum ethics and values by waiter. It’s just waste of time and money to get into this.

Not worth and manager was rude with me and my family. People in this restaurant are treating the customers based on order price which is not recommendable and highly offensive.The food is not at all good in-terms of the quantity and taste wise.

So fresh so much flavour so tasty and spice was just right , had nawab the other week and was so disappointed. The veggies in one of the dishes were so fresh, flavourful and crunchy the spice was amazing, you could tell all the chicken, veg and sauces have been cooked fresh (unlike nawab using old large batches that taste off) . Even warmed it up the next day and was great still . Hats off to Mumbai kitchen

First time in this restaurant on our first stay in Tiverton.We are from the west Midlands, renowned for Indian restaurants, it is rare for me to praise indian restaurants out of the area but this was first class food and service. We will definitely be visiting this place again on our next visit

Had our first takeaway from Mumbai Kitchen tonight and so lucky they deliver to our village! Fish curry, lamb bhuna, saga Baji and keema nans all totally delicious and authentic. Would wholeheartedly recommend.

Really good food and friendly professional staff. My partner and I are vegetarians, and we feel well and truly catered for. I have my favourite dishes, but force myself to try different things on the menu each visit...and I'm never disappointed. The problem is, we now don't go anywhere else in Tiverton to eat!

Had higher expectations for this place after being recommended to go here. Went for the vindaloo and it was mild and fairly tasteless for something that was described as very hot. The starter was decent and the deal on a Wednesday night is good value so I could forgive that given that it was my first time there and a lot of places won’t give you a propper spicy curry until you have been in and proved yourself a few times but I am growing tired of places refusing to provide VAT receipts. Without this I am unable to claim this meal back on expenses and people seem to be forgetting that it is a legal requirement for operating businesses to provide VAT receipts. I get it no one wants to pay tax but the fact the manager seemed frustrated at me for reminding him this is something they have to provide annoyed me quite a bit and now I am out of pocket. Overall disappointed

I came here for a takeaway and asked the restaurant staff what the chef special was for that day. The curry that I ate was a chicken curry of sort. (sorry i dont remember the name) with basmatti rice. The chicken had been pulled in the sauce and it was the best indian takeaway meal I have ever eaten. Very tasty and the chicken was so tender. We ordered a delivery as we were staying nearby (Cullompton). The food was delivered on time/quickly and was still piping hot. Definitely one of the best takeaways we’ve ever had! The food was delicious and there was plenty of it.

Had a take away on Boxing Day as all Christmassed out. Two lamb dishes one chicken one. The lamb on both was inedible and the chicken dry. The in-house experience a month before was a completely different experience. Wish we’d stuck to the cold meats and bubble!

An outstanding meal coupled with excellent service. All the spices and flavour came through very well from the starter to the main and side dishes. It has been awhile since I ate at the Mumbai Kitchen, Tiverton and this visit was for lunch, dining with my wife. This restaurant gleams from ceiling to floor and the only word that says it all is immaculate. Beautifully laid tables, cheerful, helpful staff and superb food. Generous helpings served on interesting shaped, patterned plates and every thing we ordered came hot and delicious. I can't praise this restaurant too highly and if you are a curry lover who appreciates high standards from staff and delicious food you should try the Mumbai Kitchen.

Ordered a take away to be delivered as visiting on holiday - delivered on time and friendly driver. Very generous portions and probably the nicest chicken we have ever had in a curry. Far too much for us to finish so saved some for tomorrow. Most beautiful pashwari naan too and complementary poppadums five star. Well done to all.

what a find...an absolute gem. Gorgeous modern but welcoming decor, so clean i could have eaten in the bathroom! Food fresh and really tasty and generous servings. Service was lovely and really welcomed us.

First time at the Mumbai Kitchen and would def go again. Only one more thing would make it perfect and that is a warming plate on the table. Our food although very tasty; got cold very quick and so a warming plate would have kept it warm. Cold food is not nice. That said; I would highly recommend it. Very bad service. You pay high price for just two bites of food and staff dont even know how to treat customers. They just treat you on basis of your order price. If you want to try first and order later then you will face very bad service as they dont even care you. I faced very bad service today, and on top of it the person who was at reception was very rude.

I trim the family back to the Mumbai Kitchen having eaten a very good ruby there before. The meal was good, but the waiter took my card to pay and merrily applied a heavy service charge. Ruined an otherwise pleasant evening.

Absolutely fabulous meal, which was great value! The food was delicious, and the portions were perfectly sized. The menu was extensive... huge variety and choice. The service was second to none, the staff were friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our orders to appear. This was my first visit, definitely won't be my last!!

Popped into Tiverton on the way back from South Molton & went in on the off chance for food. We've never been there before & they were able to accommodate us! Service was welcoming, food was great, my other half loved it also, would definitely go back if in the area.

First time ordered food from this place and got food poisoning!!! 🤢 We had meals for four people but only mine must be off. I had king prawn curry and was sick for two days. How can you serve old food to people? What a disappointment!!!

Fresh, well spiced curry and attentive service at this lovely restaurant. Our first visit but definitely won’t be our last! Even though there was a large party dining in the inside area this didn’t affect the quality of the dishes. Chicken shashlik was delicious and onion bhajis fresh and crispy. Not the cheapest but worth every penny.

We were disappointed with our takeaway from the Mumbai kitchen. The service was good - our food arrived reasonably hot and within the expected tine frame, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. Starters were OK but not great. The curries were the main problem. The Pathia we had was VERY sugary, to the point that it was inedible. This is supposed to be a hot, sweet and sour dish, but just tasted as if they had just added loads of sugar. However, the naan bread was good and probably the highlight of the meal. Their menu is ridiculously extensive, offering and overwhelming selection of dishes. I wonder if the Mumbai kitchen might do better focusing on a smaller number of dishes and doing them well. Unfortunately we won't be ordering from the Mumbai kitchen again. We had a much better meal from the Nawab, also in Tiverton.

The Mumbai Kitchen is gaining a good reputation in Tiverton and is immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and has attentive, cheerful staff and a five star food hygiene rating. Tried the take away for the first time for a family gathering - they charge £7.50 for distance deliveries. We live about 10 miles away and the order arrived on time in plastic containers and attractive travel bags. Everything was piping hot, generous portions and everyone enjoyed what they had ordered. There were a couple of observations - all the curries seemed on the chilli hot side and the spatched , battered prawn obviously does not travel well and was a soggy, tasteless disaster. We like the Mumbai Kitchen but will probably eat there in future.

Excellent table service with friendly staff. Large menu at competitive prices with good presentation, all very tasty, fresh and large portions. Their eat in experience is much better, so would recommend this over takeaway, but takeaway/delivery is still OK!

I’m always a bit suspect of modern looking curry houses, I tend towards flock wallpaper and sticky carpets. But, this is an exception. The food is just amazing - I had a prawn puri (served really well) and a balti. Both were excellent.

Another great dinner on Friday! Chicken madras, jalferezi and tikka masala with saag paneer, rice and naan. Absolutely gorgeous. My friends were impressed with the dishes and would definitely return. As will I! Thanks guys.

At 37 years of age and having had indian meals in restaurants at least 6 times a year for the last 20 years or so I can honestly say this place makes my top 5 of all time The staff were very friendly and calm despite the chaos of an 18 person birthday table. The food is just so good. So much flavour, loads of meat/veg vs sauce. Rice can so often be a 'cheap filler' but the coconut rice here was so good I could have eaten it on its own as a main. The fish curry was insane and the fish tasted of fish and not the sauce it was covered in which felt so fresh. I had heard this place was good, but it was better. Also, it cost me about £29 for a starter, a main, 2 poppadoms, half a rice and a cocktail. Very reasonable.

The Food here is to say the least amazing, the flavours of everything I ate where sensational. The staff where great, the restaurant was spotlessly clean . It's a 11/10 from me!!! 👍 I will definitely be back.

A group of 6 of us went up for a meal my father in law had a stroke a while ago and still finds it hard to walk without his stick, the staff were amazing with him couldn't do enough for him also took him to the toilet a few times, make sure his food was plated up for him so he didn't Struggle, amazing evening we all had
