The best restaurants in Alphington Exeter South West

We stayed for two nights in order to attend a family wedding. The staff were very friendly from the outset and we were made to feel very welcome. Meals were plentiful and well cooked and our room, although basic, was comfortable. Thanks to Steve, Mandy, Lorraine and Marcus - would recommend!

Location is very beautiful,otherwise small portions and expensive

Christos was an excellent server, very helpful and efficient. Food was tasty but not particularly warm, but was rectified without issue when raised.

Yummy food and great service 😁 Lovely building and it’s history, great deals in the specials and all of the people are lovely and kind.

After waiting for over an hour for a take away then to receive a message saying order cancelled! Total rubbish

Really lovely people and food - a bit too much hot sauce on the enchilada, overtook the flavour of the chilli con carne. EDIT: the hot sauce didn't make the food too spicy, it just made it very vinegary and acidic!

Esto ya no es la sala de té Jolly Roger. Ahora es el té dolorosamente genérico y aburrido en el muelle. Perdió todas las peculiaridades que lo hacían único, y también ha disminuido la calidad de la comida, especialmente en los bollos y la selección de té ha pasado de ser increíble al desayuno inglés normal, Earl Grey, etc.Es muy triste ver una caída de lo que fue uno de los mejores lugares en Exeter para tomar un té con crema, y ahora es solo un café corporativo aburrido sin encanto ni singularidad.

A visit to the Boatyard Cafe & Bakery on Exeter Quay is a unique experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and not only can you enjoy some beautifully prepared and presented food, you can also glimpse the bakers at work preparing the special bread and other goodies they have available. The staff are welcoming and dedicated, which is why it is so popular, with a huge turnover of customers for breakfasts, lunches and all the goodies from the bakery. If you haven't yet given it a try, do pop down to the Quay along Haven Road, and drop in to the Boatyard experience asap. You won't be disappointed I promise!

Excellent value fixed price menu

Debbie le hizo a nuestro amigo un pastel de sóftbol para su cumpleaños. ¡Ella respondió muy bien a nuestras peticiones y el sabor del pastel fue increíble! Muy húmedo y sabroso. Muchas gracias, somos clientes muy felices (y feliz cumpleaños). Exactamente lo que queríamos y atención al detalle (las costuras de color, etc. eran perfectas).

Dropped in for a Cappuccino and a bacon sandwich. The Coffee was OK but the bacon sandwich was the stingiest I have ever seen. It consisted of VERY thickly sliced heavy bread an one, yes one undercooked piece of bacon. Not worth the money.

Lovely restaurant, with the added bonus of a car park. Three of us had lunch here today; staff were, as always, helpful and friendly. I just wish we had a Nandos in Torquay and I didn't have to travel 25 + miles each time I wanted to eat there.

Actually delivered the wrong drink 🤣 ordered a caramel frappe and a chocolate frappe, but got 1 caramel with coffee and one without 🤣

I had a wonderful afternoon here. The bar were lovely, especially Lucy!!!! Defo coming back

Amazing dinner and a fantastic service. My food was freshly cooked and served with a great smile from a friendly team member.
