We were well taken care of as a large group with a beautiful room to ourselves. The menu choice was limited but suited all of the party. The service was tentative and friendly. Only slight point of contention was dining with animals in the restaurant. As more of a fine dining experience this wasn’t expected especially as one of our party suffers with severe animal allergies. That as an aside the dining experience was pleasant and therefore I’d not hesitate in recommending to all.

From the outside doesn't look much but the coffee was good and the paninies with brie, ham and cranberry were stuffed full.

Just had a couple of nights at Dormy house hotel (at which the back garden is one of the 2 restaurants) We ate at the back garden on the first night Let me preface this by saying the hotel and the chefs table restaurant (Mo, which we dined at on the second night) are top notch - I’ve reviewed them separately also If I’m being honest though, the Back Garden was a bit of a let down Setting - lovely Service - great Wine and cocktails - fab I think we just made a few bad choices in terms of dishes (which are always subjective at the end of the day) Emma had the gazpacho - we love a gazpacho, this one just felt a bit thin and lacking seasoning. It was almost trying to be a bit too delicate I’d say the same about my starter, I had the hot smoked salmon salad - it just didn’t taste of much, needed more dressing. Just something to bring it to life? Emma’s main - the curried Kiev was top notch I had the roast cod in a mussel veloute sauce. Nice, but only 3 mussels? Emma didn’t have a dessert, I was intrigued by the sheep’s cheese, honey comb and Eccles cake dessert (the most expensive at £14) It just didn’t work for me - two small blobs of cheese, a small square of honeycomb and a small (beautifully baked) Eccles cake - it just didn’t hang together, I’m not sure what it was meant to deliver? We had a pleasant evening (thanks everyone) but compared to the rest of the stay we felt it missed the mark

I went to the new Gilbertine Kitchen in Tetbury. Food was lovely, decor sophisticated, friendly service, with good ambience. Would definitely go again.

The food and coffee was great. Unfortunately the experience was soured by a staff member when I placed my order. I ordered and paid up front. She read out the (correct) total, then tapped a button and didn't turn the display for me to see the total when I tapped my card. However, I could just about see upside down it was higher than the amount she said so she'd obviously tapped the tip button without telling me. She then didn't give me a card receipt. This place is not exactly cheap to start with so ended up being an even more expensive breakfast, but more than that it just felt so rude and sly on principle and tainted what was otherwise a good experience.

Stopped here for lunch during our walk from Moreton. Made very welcome along with our two dogs and enjoyed delicious sandwiches.

I had dinner alone in a really friendly restaurant. I had a couple of starters to keep room for the delicious pudding! Heritage tomatoes with goats cheese were fab and the dusted squid was really perfectly done. The staff were helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Summer pudding to finish was one of the best I have had. Delicious!

This was by far a great choice for our family. The apartment is spacious and clean. It is super central to the small village so ideally located. The apartment has everything you need from a fully fitted kitchen, 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a lovely lounge and dining room. The beds were super comfy, we just loved them! Everything about this apartment was perfect. The only hiccup was as foreigners we did not know how to use the heating system correctly, so clear info concerning that would be great. Would recommend!

Just had a Sunday roast here with some family, quality atmosphere and amazing food! Very straight forward to order and didn’t have to wait long at all for food. The roast beef I had was spot on and the children loved their roast chicken. Will definitely be back again for food in the future! Compliments to the chef for the food and to jack & catherine for the service and also to the barman Rob!

We recently moved to Tetbury and heard some good mumbles about the Woolpack and having the first Sunday off in ages my husband I booked a table online for Sunday lunch. We booked 3pm as it stated online it was open until 4pm. In the morning we had an emailed confirmation as well as a phone call to confirm. At 2.500m we duly arrived expecting a lovely roast, a nice bottle of wine and we even discussions en route of pudding- we were looking forward indeed! However we never got to order anything as the front of house lady advised that the kitchen was now closed and there was no record of our booking , my husband showed her the reservation and explained tge call earlier. A discussion then ensued between her and the chef whether we were correct as if we were being doubted. She did however apologise but we certainly got the impression from the open kitchen that the Chef had seen the opportunity to clean up and get away early and he wasn’t budging. I’m not a negative TA winger but at 3pm on a Sunday it was impossible to find another venue for lunch and we were really disappointed. I feel in this current climate the management should be aware that staff or notably the Chef is dictating their profitability. It would not have been an issue to move our table to earlier in the service to suit him but just to cancel a reservation is exceptionally poor. I have given two stars as I thought the ambience was very nice and I do think the woman server dealt with the situation as well as she could but they have lost some potentially good local customers I’m afraid.

As locals we wanted to pop out for Sunday brunch…initially tried Cerney whereby the wait times was ridiculous…crowds everywhere! Then called around Ciren to be told continuously that no, they either were not or were no longer serving brunch at 12.15! Then we thought about this cafe which we have driven past but never visited. Called and spoke to a lovely person who confirmed that yes that would be no problem! The cafe is tucked away next to the waterski lake and a hidden gem! The menu is varied and the staff are friendly and keen to help. You can see that hygiene is being taken seriously with staff reassuringly cleaning down tables, chairs and menus. As the sun came out we decided to eat outside. The outdoor area is really pretty with tables and umbrellas to give shade, overlooking the lake. Food was delicious and well presented on pretty plates. Likewise the cut glass flute used to serve my Prosecco brought a smile to my face. Do not hesitate to stop here for food…I have no doubt we will become new regulars!

Lovely pub and very friendly and also welcomed dogs. Really wanted to give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately my Duck meal was gritty in taste. I didn’t agree on the reasoning which was due to the herbs it was cooked with. It was swapped promptly so all fine. My Latte coffee arrived luke warm, but having already had the issue with my meal, I was loathed to mention it! My husbands meal was fine and others around looked lovely. Would be happy to try them again.

This was a wonderful shop & cafe with warm and friendly staff and the door had a gorgeous rainbow colured glass above their door. & lots of pretty and quaint trinkets to look at and buy as well as snacks.
