Went here for dinner and was such a disappointment. The service was awful - incredibly slow for food to arrive, plates not cleared for ages after we had finished starters, and just a general vibe of seeming not interested to serve tables - while the food was poor, the padron peppers were unseasoned and oily, the butter with the bread was so melted I wondered if it had been microwaved? One of the only two veggie main options had already run out by 8pm while the fish and chips was awful - could barely taste the fish amid the batter. No one asked if we wanted any more drinks after the first order. I could go on. Just all round poor.

Last August I booked room and dinner for two for partner’s birthday. On arrival we’re told that no booking existed, and no room available. Very disappointed to return home, 70 mile round trip, evening spoilt. One week ago - mid March - received an email confirming my booking! Insult to injury! In fairness to the duty manager on the day, she did her best, and provided a meal. Lesson: do not trust the Ebrington Arms website!

Had a Mothers Day roast today and the service and meal were one star. I waited 20 minutes for a table pre-booked, had to get up to request menus, and had to again find someone to take our order. The food arrived within 20 minutes and the chips and squid were very good, but the roast was terrible. The beef was tough and chewy, and pork distinctly average and there was a lack of taste notes by all guests. It simply was not good enough. Now, I was planning on a one star review but, when telling the waiter about the meal they instantly gave 25% off. I was not asking for that, and the money was not important, but the gesture was very much appreciated. Sometimes the kitchen can be hectic, and sometimes you can just have a bad end of meat, but reacting in a palatine way made me think that I will try them one more time.

Absolutely adored this place. Gorgeous village and not on the tourist trail, so I appreciated the quiet. My room was beautiful and the bathroom absolutely stunning. My only note was that the lighting was very dim (buy a new bulb or two and change those light shades!) and the room felt a tiny bit chilly when the shades were open. The bathroom, however, stayed toasty the whole time. Oh, and the smell of wood smoke was strong throughout but I guess this is a vibe! Also ate here and the food and drink was fantastic. Can’t wait to bring friends and family back with me next time.

Booked here for lunch and service was horrible! We waited for over 20 minutes to give our order (it wasn’t busy) before deciding to leave and have lunch elsewhere. The wait staff (young guy with top ear piercing) was rude from the get-go and ignored us the entire time. Shame because we had lunch here on a previous occasion and had a great time, staff were friendly and food was lovely.

Sadly a bit underwhelming and disappointing. I can see how this place could be lovely as the venue is spectacular but we had a catalog of errors start to finish. Starting with a booked table being 15mins late. Then ignored at the bar even though noone else was waiting, apparently loading the dishwasher is more important than the customer a meter in front of you. The service throughout leaves a lot to be desired. Got given the wrong menu to begin with which we were allowed to order from and 15mins later retracted it, without correcting on the ordering system. There's a lot of very young staff (80%) who avoid the tables as they're not sure how to help. So you don't get served, plates cleared and wrong orders taken which end up on the bill. The haddock & chips was perfectly crisp but remarkably tasteless. The mushroom wellington was decent. Dessert was tasteless and expensive, even a ginger ice cream tasted like a cheap vanilla with the odd tiny bit of ginger in. Worth a visit in case we had a bad day but they need to pull their socks up! I would like to go back but will be reluctant....

Rooms clean and comfy bed, lovely comfy arm chair but needs another, one for each person, side boards, very wobbly with a piece missing in the top draw, kettle didn't work. ,wasn't replaced when asked ,was told to ask for a drink to be bought up when needed but didn't feel we wanted to go downstairs to keep asking, food was good quality, but restricted choice for, evening meal, 2 of 4 desserts unavailable, no cheese , for the 2 cheese options, ect, at around 80 quid for two, should of made more effort to supply that, it's a trip to the local shop realistically, booked in ,shortly after we arrived ,but wasn't ,on the system, was found a table straight away but if it had been busy may of been a long wait , breakfast was very good,

Just popped into The Ebrington Arms for little drink, to catch the setting sun. The garden is very well presented, with of patio and garden area, with good quality furniture. The bar is at the front of the building, walking there I saw seating area for meals. The barman who serviced me was very professional and friendly. Pending on which way you arrive, there is parking at the rear. I would revisit and would recommend.

A fabulous friendly hotel and pub with an excellent restaurant in Northleach. Picture postcard English village, in yellow Cotswold sandstone. The food is excellent and a great atmosphere inside The older pub at the front gives way to modern additions a,small garden area with a small carpark tucked away right at the back. Friendly staff, so walk off that Sunday roast with a visit to the 14th century church of St Peter and Paul.

I walked in and was immediately profiled by a staff member. He said I hadn’t bought a drink and also picked out 8 of my friends even though 3 of them had already. They told me it wasn’t a social club and we needed to a buy a drink only minutes after walking in. Fundamentally the lack of 18+ signage and the disrespectful staff member Will ruined our experience and made us feel not welcome. I will not be returning and neither will my 8 friends who are locals to the area.
