We had our wedding here, all the staff were amazing, Charlotte the Wedding Coordinator was so helpful at organising everything for us. We ended up turning up much earlier than expected and they managed to accommodate our outside drinks & canapés earlier than planned. The food was wonderful too, we had a lot of allergies and they dealt with them so well. Parking can be limited around Bibury, as it is such a popular picturesque village, so bear that in mind when planning your visit.

To get hot water for a shower, we had to run the bath for 8 minutes before the hot water came to our room. During our stay the night temperatuur was 2 degrees and the second radiator did not work. Very disappointed with a 250 Pound price per night.

Went as part of a tour, we had two options for main course and two for dessert which sounded fine. I chose the mushroom raviolis and sponge cake pudding. They served us 6 stale hard raviolis not fresh at all, had no taste. And the pudding was actually a small piece of dry cake and custard. Not sure if they serve other customers better food but our experience was terrible.

Excellent location in Bibury. Haven’t stayed in the hotel but visited and had a lovely coffee time after walking around Bibury. Just prior to opening for dinners at 6pm we had a coffee but there wasn’t any sweet treat to eat. There were nuts and crisps though. Lovely place and great customer services.

We were seated by a hostess (lady at the bar) who was cold and unwelcoming. Looking for a light lunch, we ordered two sandwiches and two coffees. Both sandwiches were served cold and looked no better than something from a Tesco meal deal—basic white bread (not even sourdough) with a filling that resembled supermarket chicken and stuffing mayo. Yet, they were priced at £12 and £15, which felt completely unjustified. To make matters worse, the waiter assumed I wanted chips instead of the crisps that came with the sandwich and added them to the bill without me ever requesting them. Overall, the service was poor, and the food was outrageously overpriced. I wouldn’t have minded paying a premium if the quality had matched the cost, but sadly, that wasn’t the case. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed a mid week break at this hotel. The rooms were well appointed with a good selection of extras and well stocked, high quality tea and coffee facilities. Our room did not have a bath (a very good shower) but a lot do, so worth asking if you need one after those long country walks. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the standard of service throughout was excellent. The standard of breakfast was also excellent and the hotel provides a very good selection of high quality food options throughout the day. Well situated for exploring the rest of the Cotswolds and for country walks. Highly recommended.

We recently had a wonderful afternoon at The Swan in Bibury, though we didn’t stay the night. We stopped by for a delightful afternoon snack and were thoroughly impressed with the warm atmosphere and excellent service. The food was delicious, and the location is perfect for enjoying a peaceful break in the Cotswolds. After our snack, we took a lovely walk to the Shepherd’s Cottages, which were just a short stroll away. The surroundings were absolutely picturesque, offering classic Cotswold charm with stunning views and tranquil vibes. It’s worth noting that the Swan can get busy, especially during peak times, so it’s a good idea to plan your visit for quieter moments to fully enjoy the experience. The pub’s location makes it an ideal stop while exploring the beautiful nearby Cotswolds villages. Overall, it was a very enjoyable afternoon, and we’d highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Went to the restaurant for lunch. It is extremely expensive for poor quality. The sandwiches were basically Tesco sandwiches for £15. The burger is quiet a small portion and is so plain. Diet cokes come in 200ml bottles for £4. Ridiculous. One server was very nice and friendly, the rest were rude and cold. With the first server approaching us saying "are you going to order". Service was also quiet slow, especially considering the restaurant was basically empty. Disabled / baby changing toilets were locked as well, so annoying having to wait for staff to change a diaper. Overall bill for 3 people, with a burger, fish and chips, and sandwiches, and 3 x diet cokes was £85. Would definitely not return Much better off going a tiny bit further out to some of the beautiful older pubs surrounding Bibury.

I had the worst experience during my stay at this hotel. My earrings were stolen by hotel. I realized I had left them in my room, so I called the hotel, and they informed me that they had found them. By that time, I had already moved to a neighboring town, so I asked if they could send them to me by mail. I was assured that they would be sent, but the earrings never arrived. When I asked for a tracking number, they refused to provide one. The earrings were a gift from my late mother, and I desperately requested that they be returned, but my plea was ignored. In the end, the earrings were never returned. In hindsight, I should have gone to the neighboring town to retrieve them myself, but I never imagined that a thief could be working at this hotel. Additionally, the cleanliness of the room was subpar; the toilet was left uncleaned as though it had been used by someone else. Who would want to stay in a hotel that is neither clean nor safe, with thieves among the staff?

We celebrated our wedding at the Swan Hotel this summer. It's a beautiful venue, ideally located at the centre of the village. The day was wonderful, the food was delicious and it was just sunny enough to make use of the private garden across the road. Charlotte was tireless in her organisation in the run up to the hotel, and the day ran like clockwork with her behind the scenes.

Disappointing Experience Due to Rude Manager I visited this pub with my mother on a cold day after a walk, and while most of the staff were incredibly welcoming, unfortunately, our experience was soured by one individual—who I believe was the manager. Upon arriving, two ladies behind the bar were very friendly, greeted us warmly, and even cleaned a table for us to sit by the fire. We got comfortable and settled in, looking forward to enjoying a drink and warming up. However, when the manager came over, she immediately scolded us for sitting near the fire, claiming she needed to get in front of us to add a log. Despite having enough space to easily move around us, she rocked the table and gave us an attitude about our positioning, calling it "silly." This felt incredibly unprofessional and rude, especially given how accommodating the rest of the staff had been. After a heavy sigh, she didn't even add a log to the fire—she simply poked it (which didn’t need doing) as if to make a point. Her demeanor was cold and unwelcoming, which completely ruined the experience for us. As someone with a background in hospitality, I found her behavior unacceptable and unprofessional. It’s a shame because the rest of the staff were so kind and attentive. Unfortunately, due to the manager's attitude, we won't be returning to this pub.

Our wedding day was utterly fantastic, thanks in no small part to all of the staff at The Swan. Molly and Charlotte were brilliant coordinators, answering all of our questions along the way, and helping us out with anything we were unsure about. We were treated so well by all the staff, who couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful, throughout the organisation, and the event itself. All of our guests noted how friendly and warm the staff were, so much so that many of the guests were on a first-name-basis with various staff members! The food was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect, and all of our guests noted what a fantastic, romantic venue it was for such a wonderful day. Even our band (The Debonairs), noted what a fantastic venue it was. The rooms were clean, well appointed, and comfortable (as our guests who stayed the night before, and the night of the wedding, all attested). The Bridal Suite was superb; we’re already thinking about returning for an anniversary. Many thanks to Molly, Charlotte, Nikki, India, and all of The Swan staff for making our wedding day unforgettable. We already fondly remember the good times had by all who were there!

Every year, I bring my Mum to Bibury for cream tea at The Swan for her Birthday and to revisit the home she was evacuated to during WW2 with her family .. So it's always a special and an emotional trip for her ..especially now shes 85 yrs young .. This year we were so sad with the decline of the service and the quality and size of the cream tea .. The pot of tea was cold and was returned ..the scones were so tiny, less than half the size of last years and of a shop bought scone .. The waitresses came to the table a couple of times to clear our table while my Mother was still eating.. The staffs uniform are scruffy.. leggings and an old t.shirt .Paving slabs were uneven and wobbly .. nearly tripped several times..and the floor to the entrance of the disabled toilet has a lip to it and I fell backwards when closing the door .. Unfortunately taken over by Fullers a few yrs ago , there's nothing special about The Swan anymore .. Such a shame in such a beautiful iconic little village visited by thousands from around the World every year... And just because we /they don't visit often or only the once ,doesn't mean you should cut back on flour and water to make a decent size scone, even if the chef is new and charge what you do for it ! Surely the idea is to Provide a lovely experience and a memory of the hotel in this Cotswold villiage Its not difficult to get it right Fullers :(

Very bad tea experience We were extremely disappointed with the tea service. In such a beautiful hotel and for those prices, one would expect a classic, delicious English tea. Instead, we received two hard and cold scones, tiny sandwiches with stale bread, and three finger-sized cake samples. All this for £30! There are not many other options either. It's a shame they don't offer better service. ---

Bibury is a Cotswolds village so cute it looks like it hopped straight out of a fairytale, and The Swan Hotel fits right in! This charming hotel is like stepping back in time, with honey-colored stone walls and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. A fabulous friendly hotel and pub with an excellent restaurant in Northleach. Picture postcard English village, in yellow Cotswold sandstone. The food is excellent and a great atmosphere inside The older pub at the front gives way to modern additions a,small garden area with a small carpark tucked away right at the back. Friendly staff, so walk off that Sunday roast with a visit to the 14th century church of St Peter and Paul.

Went here for dinner and was such a disappointment. The service was awful - incredibly slow for food to arrive, plates not cleared for ages after we had finished starters, and just a general vibe of seeming not interested to serve tables - while the food was poor, the padron peppers were unseasoned and oily, the butter with the bread was so melted I wondered if it had been microwaved? One of the only two veggie main options had already run out by 8pm while the fish and chips was awful - could barely taste the fish amid the batter. No one asked if we wanted any more drinks after the first order. I could go on. Just all round poor.

I walked in and was immediately profiled by a staff member. He said I hadn’t bought a drink and also picked out 8 of my friends even though 3 of them had already. They told me it wasn’t a social club and we needed to a buy a drink only minutes after walking in. Fundamentally the lack of 18+ signage and the disrespectful staff member Will ruined our experience and made us feel not welcome. I will not be returning and neither will my 8 friends who are locals to the area.
