Excellent Experience the restaurant is modern and well laid out. The front of house staff were professional and welcoming. The food was delicious packed full of flavour and great seasonal choices worthy of the Michelin guide recommendation. A must visit. Hope to see you again when we return to Looe

This lovely little place has a lot of potential. So stylish and quaint. The staff are always polite and very accommodating. My favourite deal for £4.75 is the savoury cream tea (or a black coffee in my case). A choice of Davidstow cheese or blue cheese and walnut with a small pot of both apple and onion chutney is lovely. My only niggle is the freshness of the scones. This time they were a tad dry? Other than that I loved sitting on the high stool watching the world go by 🙂

Have visited multiple times over the last few years. (Scared wasp lady) Last year we visited Looe just to come to this place. The owner is fantastic and always makes you feel welcome. One holiday we visited everyday for the crepes and affogato (served the Japanese way). I’ve just seen that this place has now closed and we’re deeply saddened. I hope the owner is well and is doing bigger and better things. Thankyou for the crepes and coffee ❤️.

We’ve been wanting to visit since Yamas opened last year and finally made it at the weekend. Perhaps we had been waiting too long and were expecting too much, but we were very disappointed. Firstly, which door do we use? The single door in the side or the double doors leading off the outside seating area? We chose the double doors and had to squeeze past other diners to announce our arrival. Having booked, our table wasn’t ready. We understand that. The previous occupants were enjoying themselves and weren’t rushed, and we were invited to go upstairs and have a drink at the bar whilst we waited. Sadly, there was no barman so drinks weren’t forthcoming. Once seated, again squeezing past other diners, we chose from an excellent menu and eagerly awaited our Greek food. More disappointment, disappointing beef stifado, oregano fries with no obvious oregano, bland chicken skewers with an equally bland paprika mayonnaise and overly salted prawns. Having since seen the reviews, Yamas have clearly listened to some of them and increased portion size (we had too much) but they also need to remove a table so that diners and staff can move around the restaurant. It would also behove them to respond to reviews instead of completely ignoring them! Our evening was not the authentic Greek evening we were looking forward to, we hope that others have a better experience.

Our third visit, and not our last. Perfect location overlooking the river, great ambience as was busy, and I liked the Greek music. My moussaka, and husband's stifado were both sublime! Made room for desert of Greek yoghurt, honey and figs - delicious! The wine was also amazing. Can't wait to come back 👌
