The best restaurants in Gunnislake Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

A lovely cosy friendly place in Gunnislake to go for a chat with friends, especially on a rainy day. The food is excellent and vegan and vegetarian options too..

Absolutely diabolical slow service cold food complained to be told we are busy next time you come if foods cold tell us right away we did won't be going again

We have been a few times and this visit was excellent as usual. A few practical things first. Very easy to find, relatively large car park with on road parking if necessary. Dog friendly. The food was really outstanding. For mains we had the special venison dish and the scampi. For desserts the millionaires cheesecake and the lemon trifle, both were excellent. The service is always good and prices very reasonable. We will definitely go again.

The food was great the servers were nice,friendly and the bartender that served me was funny 100% recommend to anyone if your in South West this is a must !! :).

This appeared to be the only café open in Calstock when we went, so it’s not much to say it was the best cafe in Calstock, but it probably is …. Warm welcome, great coffee, extremely clean toilets (not often mentioned but hugely welcomed), tasty snacks! Highly recommended Thank You!

Stayed at the Edgecoumbe Arms for two nights in December, the bedrooms are Delightful, clean warm light and airy well decorated and comfy, with amazing views of the Hamoze and Plymouth, with ships passing your double aspect bedroom windows, with an easy ferry crossing to Plymouth it is the best location to stay to visit Plymouth, the food and breakfast were well cooked and lots of it. A faultless stay at a real Country Pub with walks galore. 5 Stars

Fantastic Great location and the best ice cream. My son has a dairy allergy and even their dairy free sorbet was superb Stunning views too

Food was great and there was a nice selection of real ales. Pub has been nicely done out inside. I had the lasagne followed by cheesecake and portions were generous.

A beautiful 16th-century pub with great character, the only thing that lets it down are the toilets.

Having recently moved to the village infact directly over the road it seemed rude to not try The Boot Inn out. And thank god we did. What a brilliant place in-fact our favourite in the village. We have been made to feel so welcomed and we feel we have made good friends for life not only the locals but everyone at The Boot. We had Sunday dinner a couple of weeks ago which was amazing. I’m vegan and they even cater for me which was spot on. Due back New Year’s Eve for another meal Highly highly recommended. Not sure why some of the older reviews are so negative. It’s certainly not the experience we have received so I would ignore those it’s absolute rubbish

Nice national trust house and grounds. Can’t review house or formal garden as not allowed in with dogs which is annoying. Brilliant on site walks some of which are quite hilly to say the least. Restaurant delivered nice hot food but it’s so expensive as is the norm now for NT places.

These are the best Fish and Chips you'll find in East Cornwall. Excellent service and food. Dave, Sharon and their crew are lovely people. You'll love it!! 😜

Good food, lovely decor. We were lucky to be able to sit outside in the sunshine & enjoy the mellow atmosphere of Calstock. You might get to meet the friendly cat too....

This is a lovely little pub with a big open fire. The landlady is very friendly. There is a village market held here on the second Saturday of every month and there is karaoke every first Saturday of the month with a very friendly atmosphere
