This is a lovely little pub with a big open fire. The landlady is very friendly. There is a village market held here on the second Saturday of every month and there is karaoke every first Saturday of the month with a very friendly atmosphere

Called in for drink to test out local pubs. Haven't seen an 'old school' pub like this for a quite a while. Dark inside and not particularly inviting plus strong musty smell..not a place I would want to spend any time. It's what I would describe as a 'drinkers' pub for folks not bothered about their surroundings. And no food served here. Didn't stay longer than one drink. Certainly won't be patronising this establishment again.

Nine of us turned up last eveningand were welcomed by the lady behind the bar. She called for assistance and we rapidly obtained our drinks. They chatted and were told that this was a "stag" do and were shown a photo of the bride to be. The groom to be got a free whiskey (a nice one too!). Later one of the ladies brought through a large plate of sausage rolls which she said had not been used earlier in the day, so these were both most welcome as well as free. Quiet comfortable and welcoming, it got my vote!

Big weatherspoons in the main street in Newquay. A very nice breakfast cooked &served quite quick as it was busy for midweek. Looks like locals and workers use it.

Wonderful customer service, had a fault paying with points, server and manager were on point with advice... Still got festive black forest hot chocolate with the bean still added to my account. Few and far between baristas carry the fire of costumer service and these make that mark.

Looks as rough as hell from the outside and the decor is beyond belief and rundown, however, the landlady and locals were friendly enough, so if its a quick pint while you wait and your not expecting the Ritz, go in.

The Sailors arms public house and restaurant is perfect for our visits to NewqJay...we live in Redruth so come to Newquay for the beautiful beaches and long walks... Food is really great value and priced to cater for all needs... We loved it...also they let our Jack Russell terrier join us.. Staff friendly and made us welcome

If you’re looking for a pint of Guinness that tastes like it’s been filtered through a dirty mop, look no further. Hands down, the worst Guinness I’ve ever had—flat, bitter, and utterly lifeless, much like the staff shuffling around the place. The Ultimate Burger? More like the Ultimately Regrettable Burger. Dry, tasteless, and assembled with the enthusiasm of a zombie apocalypse survivor rationing the last scraps of food. Speaking of zombies, the staff seemed trapped in some kind of Wetherspoons purgatory—expressionless, slow-moving, and completely indifferent to the suffering unfolding around them. If you ever wanted to experience what it’s like to be a lost soul in a budget horror film, just try ordering a meal here. Save yourself the misery and go somewhere—anywhere—else.
