This is a lovely little pub with a big open fire. The landlady is very friendly. There is a village market held here on the second Saturday of every month and there is karaoke every first Saturday of the month with a very friendly atmosphere

Called in for drink to test out local pubs. Haven't seen an 'old school' pub like this for a quite a while. Dark inside and not particularly inviting plus strong musty smell..not a place I would want to spend any time. It's what I would describe as a 'drinkers' pub for folks not bothered about their surroundings. And no food served here. Didn't stay longer than one drink. Certainly won't be patronising this establishment again.

Nine of us turned up last eveningand were welcomed by the lady behind the bar. She called for assistance and we rapidly obtained our drinks. They chatted and were told that this was a "stag" do and were shown a photo of the bride to be. The groom to be got a free whiskey (a nice one too!). Later one of the ladies brought through a large plate of sausage rolls which she said had not been used earlier in the day, so these were both most welcome as well as free. Quiet comfortable and welcoming, it got my vote!

A very busy and lively pub. The staff were helpful, the toilets were clean and well maintained. Nice cheap and cheerful pub just off the seafront and only a couple of minutes walk from the main town centre.

Really disappointed with the girl that was on serving this morning for breakfast. She refused to give me a plate for my autistic so. To eat his croissant on, despite there being a HUGE pile of clean plates in clear view and the man (in a suit of course) Infront having just been given one to eat his breakfast on. She said their dishwasher was broken, but there was a STACK of at least 20 clean plates in full view. She then gave one to a guy who came in after me. I am so angry with her, has she not heard of WASHING UP. Can someone please teach her to treat customers fairly and show her how to use washing up liquid if the need arises

Well it hasn't changed in almost 30 years, not sure if that is good or bad 🤷🏼♂️ service was difficult even in October so expect summer to be difficult 🤙

We visited this pub twice during our short visit as the food was so good and very reasonably priced. On our first visit we had the freshly caught cod and chips which really did look like a whale on a plate. Would highly recommend this place and the staff were really helpful and friendly.
