Pretty standard Wetherspoons, clean, tidy and good beer. Cannot comment on food as I haven't eaten there.

We only stopped for coffee, but where else can you get unlimited coffee for two under £4?

Good WS experience. good was like in all ws good. it was a bit dark thought only complaint if you can call it that.

Staff were friendly & attentive! We didn't order at the bar we used the app - but within minutes of placing the orders, our drinks were served promptly to the table! We decided to have some food and it was delicious!

Great service fantastic staff shame that the food is so expensive and not of good quality. All food is now very expensive compared to other chains. We were staying at premier inn and it was cheaper to eat there.

A typical Weatherspoons but a tad more expensive than none seaside bars

Good food, swiftly brought over, as were the drinks, staff that brought the food weren't very friendly and didn't smile. Think the place needs updating, the atmosphere could be better.

Had breakfast everyday for 4 days. Very well cooked and presented. Great staff, they always seem happy and are a tight team. We cannot wait to stay in Newquay again soon.

Slow to get served as staff went missing

Food average, not as good as our local spooners. Guess it's a tourist spot and service/ quality suffers.

Cheesy chips were done nicely. Pub is large, clean & tidy. We are trying to visit as many of Tim's pubs as we can on our travels around the UK. Think this is number 39. No beer for me today as I was driving. Shame as the Stella looked inviting.

Good selection of local ales, well serverd, (Grain store fifty ten excellent), staff here enthusiastic, cleanliness, really good, cleanest loos ever seen! Had the young farmers weekend brilliant and respectful young people. Just down road,beautiful clean beach, stunning scenery. Pity surrounding hotels in poor state. Newquay needs a lick of paint.

Pretty disappointed with the food today, don't know if the chefs having a bad day? Had a vegetarian breakfast, my sausages were very dry, and my eggs weren't runny nice like normal, really disappointed today, hope whatever it is that's bothering the chef gets fixed. 😔

Been here a few times but this time our food was not as hot as normal, no Mediterranean salad available to go with the classic steak and the tikka masala was just over hot, it's normally very hot. Staff member did ask if there was anything they could do but we said we would not worry this time. If it happens again will definitely let the staff know.

I came with residents to celebrate Burns night and taste the Burns night menu. Everyone 's meal was hot, fresh and tasty. The double burger with haggis, chips, onion rings and whiskey sauce was lovely. We were all satisfied with our food, it came out quick and staff checked in with us to make sure everything was OK.

Standard spoons cheap food and reasonable drinks

I was sat near kitchen Was not impressed to see a member of staff feel the food with his hand before taking off the hot plate to serve. Then returned with the same plate of chips! Obviously refused by customer for being too cold. Then he took back from kitchen and gave away to a table of local work men.

You would expect American burgers to be huge impressive just like the yanks. Ones we got were anorexixe , with a few chips and no side. Witherspoons grub used to be great value 4 money. What's going on ????.

As ever, good variety of beers and other drinks. Food offered covers many options, average quantity, after all it is not a restaurant!

Apart from the sardine posing as cod my sister was given the wrong wine, when I questioned it I was told that's all there is but another member of staff changed the wine and charged me an extra £1.29..Needless to say that's is our last visit to a Wetherspoons. The customer service department was also no help. We spent £28.

Id give 3.5 stars but I cannot. First time trying this brand. I don’t eat out and I don’t drink so never had the need. I made some friends who invited me so I joined and had some food. The chicken was dry on both occasions and the chargrilled veg felt like all the moisture was sucked out of them. What was even drier is one of the waiter who clearly hated being here. No smile, no thank you, no service really. Although I heard many horror stories about this brand, I was so excited to discover it lol. Let’s just say that I wont be going back. I had to clean my own tables on 2 occasions. I understand people are busy but bacterias spread. And it is just not that great to walk in and see napkins, plates, empty glasses everywhere. The good thing about it though is the app. I like I can order my food via the app since you do not get a waiter to take your order. Apart from the waiter’s attitude. People’s vibes were nice and it felt cosy but not for me.

Ordered breakfast came pretty quick, but based off the menu pictures it looked a decent breakfast, but in reality they arrived all on super massive plates so looked bare , and nothing was hot, only warm , crispy bacon that was asked for was no where near crispy very disappointed.

This is an OK Wetherspoons. Called in here for drinks on a Thursday late afternoon/early evening. Busy but found a table OK. Got served at the bar for just drinks, then ordered more drinks and food on the app. The young lad clearing tables (very efficiently) and serving food was probably the best we'd come across in any Wetherspoons. Friendly and nothing was too much trouble, even when I queried a price on the app. Food was OK, usual Wetherspoons cheap and cheerful. Always use Wetherspoons, just for their drinks prices.

Always a great pub to have a couple of beers etc in. Very cheap & choice of beers are ample. Plenty spirits to go at. We do pop in here, My only gripe would be that the tables don't get cleared & wiped down as quick as should. You could be sat at a table that has previous occupants plates & glasses on for a good while before cleared. Well worth going in though & a good 1/3rd less prices than other pubs in the area.

The foods ok, typical spoons food but never bad. Service is an app, so there's no service. Atmospheres, usually some shady peeps in here but not too bad. Biggest let down is the place is SO dirty. Tables, toilets, seats, the works it's 99% of the time rank in here.

Great atmosphere and tasty food!

The one and only positive is the drinks are slightly cheaper than other pubs. But it's well worth paying a little bit more anywhere else.

We visited the Towan Blystra twice for what we thought may be a cheap meal and a few decent drinks. The pub itself was rammed full with persons of all kinds from the very lairy drunk to the elderly couple wanting something cheap to eat. We used the app to order our food and drinks which arrived surprisingly quite quickly. The food itself was plentiful and reasonable in looks and taste. We happened to sit near the bar watching the staff work on the second occasion and to be fair the staff work very hard and seem to work in unison taking it in turns to serve drinks at the bar or serve food etc. With the amount of food leaving the bar area we were massively impressed. Well done to the staff. The only gripe we have is the quality of some of the people that drink in there. They need bouncers here but we didn't see any. Don't forget Wetherspoons-this is a quality holiday resort. Please be a bit more choosy on the door to prevent some of the drunken idiots from frequenting it which may scare genuine holiday makers off.

Pleasant enough Wetherspoon pub.

Went to Towan Blystra twice while we were in Newquay and both times had a great meal. It was not over busy so found a table very easily ordered fish and chips and chicken melt the first time and we both had steak and chips the next day. Both steaks were cooked to the way we like them. Service by the staff was very good at the bar and of the food. The whole area was clean and tidy.

My recent visit to Wetherspoons was certainly unique and entertaining. Every time I inquired about my food, they humorously handed me a sour cream pot, not once, but 20 times! It turned into a memorable, light-hearted experience that my friends and I won't forget anytime soon.

What's not to like about a Wetherspoons. Good beers and ciders, including Cornish Rattler on tap here👍 Hot drinks and food also available as per almost every Spoons we have come across. There is also outdoor seating here which is sunny in the afternoon and all day in high season probably? We returned again in 2023 and are still happy to recommend 👍

The place was quite busy. I had ham eggs and chips and my oartner had the steak and kidney pud. Both were very good. We had a mini dessert each - Brownie and cookie dough sandwich. Very nice. Service was good

A perfect bar with good decoration and friendly waiters. Their menu is very cheap. They can enjoy a hearty breakfast and Benedict eggs, and the drinks are unlimited. These services and food cost more than twice the price in other places with the same conditions. We come here every day to enjoy breakfast, coffee and good memories.

Standard Weatherspoon's pub food is good, beer good too plenty of space

Not a bad pub and as usual excellent value Leffe at just £4.40 a pint. Food was also OK and fair value although Wetherspoons are definitely cutting portions to avoid further price increases. Sadly bar staff seemed very minimal and customers have adopted this silly line of Queuing rather than simply standing at the bar.

Visited this bar each night of our 4night break as a last stop on way back to our hotel. The cheapest place for drinks in Newquay. We had some interesting chats with the friendly locals and bar staff.

We went for breakfast,now I know it’s cheap but that is no excuse for the awful food we were served,cold toast,cold baked beans and the bacon didn’t even look like it had seen any heat at all,the place is filthy.

I've been to quite a few wetherspoons and I think this might be the worst one I've been to. It was dirty. Went to get a drink at the bar and all you could smell was sick. Couldn't find a clean table, all free tables covered in glasses or food and had clearly been there for a while. I've spoken to a number of locals and they said this wasn't a isolated incident this happens quite a lot. Will not be coming here again.

Good place food OK staff very helpful

Monday night and it was busy. Lots of interesting people. I paid for a chicken jalfrezi with a beer. The chicken was succulent and the sauce packed flavour. I was impressed. Maybe I got lucky but £13 well spent.

This is a must do when you visit Newquay the food is amazing breakfast superb evening meals lunchtime snacks prices are really good the staff are excellent service is super fast I could not fault them at all I would definitely use them again in the future

Bit dated could do with a revamp then it would be spot on .

I used this place for my breakfast each morning whilst i stayed in Newquay for the weekend.. well worth the money. £8.00 for a large English breakfast. Really fast service and friendly staff.. This is a really popular place to eat and drink. The only downer is they need more coffee machines.. it took me longer to get a coffee than to get a cooked meal... still a great place...

Got the gourmet steak 8OZ sirloin, 5oz must have been fat and grissle. Was told they don’t see what the steaks were like in the pack? they must see them before they cook them? Couldn’t eat it

Weatherspoons is not that cheap anymore. 5 bean chilli, reasonable, nothing special. My daughters bolognase child's meal was luke warm at best, although she did like the flavour, my sons pizza was fairly good. Service was average, the waitress asked if our food was ok, then left before we had a chance to answer! I had a pint Inc with my meal, my wife a Coke zero (or similar). All in £32 ish. It's probably cheaper than most restaurants in Newquay, tbf. But I didn't consider it great value taking into account the quality of the food. The best way to get that is to drink ruddles at £1.78 per pint. it's pretty good as well!
