A good place to go for a cofeee

Regular here every now and then. Can’t fault anything… was a really busy day yesterday, and the girl with the black hair, and piercings (I keep forgetting her name!!!) offered to carry my food over, even though there was a queue . She’s always got a smile on her face! ☺️

Staff were polite and did the best they could. Lots of tables empty but not cleared or wiped down. Made the place look messy. Luckily it was a nice day so sat outside.

Good Costa in lovely building. Great service.

Super busy in there when I went, the service was great even with a massive queue. The lady who served me was absolutely lovely, my little biscuit and coffee were blimmin lovely (millionaire shortbread and a coffee caramel hot milkshake- trust me, give them a go!) they kept their cool and continued to give excellent customer service.

I called in for something to eat and fancied a toasted sandwich. However when i got it, it was toasted only on one side and was soggy bread on the other. When I complained i was told this is how Costa make "toasted" sandwiches now so it's not just in Camborne. The ham and cheese toasties cost £3.50 and i was hard pressed to find the cheese. This is unacceptable Costa. Get your act together.

Order online and if they run out of stuff they still charge you and won't refund your payment. Very rude staff.

Went in for a little treat just after opening service was amazing and quick, drink was hot and delicious..

Pleasant enough place for a drink, quick and friendly service.

I had an offer from Costa to have a free cake with my drink for my birthday. There was a great choice and my Son had a cake too (not free). With this we had two regular white hot chocolate. This drink is always nice and is quite a lot to drink. It made a nice change to have a drink out. The cafe was busy as usual but not overpoweringly so. Staff are always pleasant here.

Terrible service. New untrained staff struggling with a queue. Ordered 3 teas, 2 caps and a latte, forgot the caps, served 3 other customers before me. My latte was cold so asked for another, was told to ask more nicely. Spoke to manager who did not apologise until I pointed out his omission. Waited 20 mins for the caps! Useless service

I went to the drive through waited several minutes the screen was blank and no communication i thought it wasnt working so went to the window only to be told I didn't say my order I explained what happened and the lady was so rude said I had to drive round again the attitude was awful such bad customer service rolling eyes saying she was busy they only had to say they were busy and I would of known to wait common sense I would of thought they have head phones on bad service

I arrived at Costa to find most of the tables occupied and the few that were not were full of crockery, empty wrappers etc and still people were putting empty cups etc on the tables. No one came to clear the tables despite the shop being relatively empty. I was due to meet some friends there as I frequently do but on seeing what looked like a bomb had gone off I called my friends and we went elsewhere that day. Such a shame as it used to be a nice place to go with pleasant staff but I have noticed of late that staff no longer appear to be happy in their jobs which has an effect on customers Very disappointed

We ordered two Ruby hot chocolates and got two regular hot chocolates, also we ordered an iced coffee and got a regular one. They ran out of frappes which we were very disappointed about at is was 30 degrees! They didn’t offer us a receipt so we can’t tell them our disappointing experience!

Best coffee ever! Riley is a gorgeous man and had the best coffee made by him was lucky enough to be working with his boyfriend George and were very happy cheery couple, made my day, will be back again .

Fantastic staff and especially Debs ( the blonde girl on sunday) she was very helpful and food and drink was good.

I like this costa in camborn town they have lots of toys and books for the kids aswell u always feel welcome there the staff are great and helpful

Asked for the festive black forest hot chocolate which I got, but unfortunately, it was lukewarm. It was replaced promptly as soon as I raised the issue with them, but, considering that the whole place is geared up to, literally, make hot drinks all day, I thought it was a bit lame of them to even attempt to sell me the drink when my server admitted that the drink was more or less cold.

Amazing service. Can't fault them today. Asked about adding a pumpkin syrup to a Soy milk Vegan Hot Chocolate. They weren't sure if the syrup was Vegan, so throughly checked & verified with myself that it was in fact fine to use. My son came away very happy with his Soy milk, Vegan, Pumpkin flavour Hot chocolate 😀👍 Cheers to all the helpful staff in the Camborne highstreet branch ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very friendly here and in any other Costa Coffeehouse. Very clean and tidy and comfortable. Enjoyed my Latte like l always do, have as a treat every now and then.

Today the two members of staff serving were friendly and well mannered. But sadly they no longer do lunch time specials , and evidently they are fazing out the use of Costa cards 😢

The worst customer service I've ever come across. Absolutely diabolical

I’ve never actually written a 1 star review and it’s really sad that I’ve felt the need to do it, as my experience has generally been very positive in our local Costa’s. I was served by a girl who was particularly rude; she had her mask down to her chin and after saying my order, she said “talk louder; I can’t hear you”. I then proceeded to practically shout and felt rather embarrassed, particularly when she asked for me to repeat myself after talking so loudly.We received our orders promptly and didn’t receive a “thank you”, apart from by the other lady who was there (who was really polite). We took our orders and sat outside, where we discovered that our toasties had only been toasted on one side and were pretty crispy due to this. My partner’s drink (an ice latte) was perfectly fine but my drink (a Belgian chocolate frostino), mostly consisted of partially ground ice and huge chunks, which meant that I could only realistically drink half of what I paid for. The tables had litter on and there was a group of teenagers (who hadn’t ordered anything) of about 13 years, who were sitting at a table and drinking cans of Monster. These are things that I understand can’t always be resolved if you’re short-staffed but just amplified our bad experience. I mostly wanted to complain as I’ve been a barista myself and the mistakes regarding my order, were very simple things and the attitude of the girl who served us was disgusting. I don’t believe that someone with such a distaste towards customers, should be in the hospitality industry. I often order in the Costa in Penzance, where the staff are very friendly and hospitable, so I expected similar standards from this branch; it was a big surprise to be treated so poorly.

We went into the shop and ordered our coffee. The girl making the drinks is obviously in the wrong job. Incredibly rude to myself and my husband. Face like thunder and she didn't hear what I said so all I got was huh. Its a shame she let's the place down, as its actually a nice little Costa

I love this shop. It is my favourite place for coffee and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

Such slow service, not helpful when you use the drive through as you're in a rush. Two days in a row had to wait 15 minutes for my coffee. Staff didn't appear to be in a rush at all either. Very poor.

I visit here on a very regular basis spending a lot of money on coffee. The last 6 months it has gone down hill tremendously. Visited this evening and the service was terrible. Young lady was giving everyone take away cups as they were closing in 30 min time. Had to make my coffee twice as my wet cap was half froth. Barista skills are lacking and bad attitude to boot. Shouted across the whole resteraunt when there was five minutes till closing. Said "They don't care, they won't listen anyway, I'm not serving anyone else if they come in now" so all the customers could hear. Costa I would scrap most of your staff and start from scratch. Deb is the one that holds that place together and gives fabulous customer services, Shame she wasn't there. As a business owner in hospitality myself, those girls would not last 5 minutes with the attitudes they served up tonight. A long time customer considering taking our regular(4 times a week) business elsewhere.

The drinks are very good, but the young waitress is terribly unfriendly! She is annoyed by guests who want to order, gives snotty answers and screams when you ask what she said. The elderly lady then kindly took over who understands her job. Thanks to the young, unfriendly waitress I will no longer use this costa and can only advise anyone who does not want to get their anger off.

Firstly, very shocked that they would incorporate a Costa in a beautiful Church when the area is full of derelict and old buildings that would either be better suited or flattened; regarding the service in Costa was very unfriendly and sense of hygiene was laughable when the service assistant spilt half of what we ordered on the tray!!! not to mention handling the cups placing fingers inside; in this time of Corvid19.

This store is never open when they're supposed to be. Online and on the door always say closing at 9/9:30, but no matter what time you go in the evening its always closed. Both drive through and inside. Staff are always seen inside standing around talking yet it's never open.

Always a good atmosphere in Costa, the range of drinks is good and always nice and hot. The staff are very friendly and service is always exceptional.

Love a mocha from here! By far my favourite place to grab a coffee. The cakes and sweet treats are amazing too. They also sell a variety of savoury snacks and things for lunch. The staff are always free and bubbly too.

It's nice but feels a bit of a shame to build the false the ceilings down so much when you're in a beautiful church.

20/12/2019 This review is in regards to the drive-thru Costa Coffee, Pool, near Redruth and not the one in Camborne main town. Today was my birthday and I went there for a coffee with our youngest daughter and I am speechless at my findings. I so want Costa Coffee (drive-thru) to explain as on paper I and I am sure readers here will think this is disgusting. When I drove up there were no disabled paprking spaces in the car park so I parked in a non-disabled space. We walked inside and I found a table whilst my daughter went to buy and carry the coffees etc. My daughter is a very friendly young woman and quickly she was in lots conversation with a man in the queue (thats my daughter for you I thought). However, this was more than a 'chat' as the other man was very upset (I could not hear him but my daughter informed me on her return to the table) with members of the Costa staff. Heres why. The man was on crutches and clearly had difficulty walking even with his crutches an he was upset at a big Jaguar car (size of car doent matter here) parked in a disabled space with NO blue badge or signs of a disabled occupant/occupants. The man pointed this out to the Costa staff and was told (I paraphrase) "It's ok although they are not disabled we know them"!!! After about 20 minutes I saw two people in the Costa Coffee who I realised by now were the car driver and passenger, get up walk to the Jaguar and drive off. No disability in evidence and they simply couldn't give a f***! So arrogant. This to me is simply not acceptable behaviour from Costa and I want Costa to tell me here and readers of my 'review' why they allowed this to happen. Who is this special person/persons in the Jaguar? Also if you are the driver/passenger of that Jaguar then shame on you, hang your head in shame, you disgust me!!! What does everyone else think? What doe Costa Coffee say? What do the 'Jaguar special people' say?

2 star because there was a hair in my nans coffee, it was otherwise ok

3rd time of visiting the driveway through no chocolate offered or put on my cappuccino on all occasions and on 2 out of 3 visits Wanted a fruited panettone which is advertised on the board and they did nt have them did nt even bother to ask on the 3rd visit disappointing

Good service friendly staff, good seating, however I had a gingerbread latte as did my partner and we both thought it didn't taste much like gingerbread just abit gutted as this is my favourite flavour

Been here half a dozen times, every single time I have been waiting in a near-empty shop for staff to finish conversations or cleaning something (always stuff that can wait until the only customers left have been served). And TWICE I have been served a latte with no coffee! Just milk and syrup!? It is beyond belief how inefficiency this place is managed and ran, especially in regards to the customer.

My review refers to the Costa Coffee at Pool, between Camborne and Redruth, NOT the Costa in Trelowarren St. Camborne, as I cannot find the former listed on Trip Advisor! 21/09/2019 after hearing some poor comments about the Pool establishment I have been putting off visiting the premise. However, lately I've heard good things from my family and so put the earlier less favourable comments down to teething troubles. On this day I visited with our youngest daughter and have to speak as I find which is that we had a very pleasant time there. The staff were warm and friendly, the coffee (cappacino for me and latte for daughter) were comfortably hot and the usual great Costa taste. Also, there was some sliced up 'muffin' at the till and I duly ate two pieces which were very strong coffee tasting, soft in texture, very sweet and thoroughly enjoyed by me :) So would I recommend - YES, however, as I always write here, my comments are personal finding on the day so readers must make up their own minds. I did think it looked bigger from the roadside but its smaller than I imagined. Thank you ;)

Great place. Good quality beverages

It's big, Cool, A friendly atmosphere. The loos for me are no longer ok, They have a Blue lighting and my eyes don't cope well with blue light (or Red, Green) so couldn't go loo and my disabled son would have had difficulty using the disabled loo due to the blue light too.

Popped in here as it was convenient, midway along Trelowarren Street, and we knew what to expect from a Costa. Service etc was OK.It is however a real shame that the cafe is housed in what was once a wonderful old granite-built chapel, but the inside has been so altered that once you walk through the doors you could be anywhere. A great opportunity missed.

This place is an absolute joke with appalling customer service! They seriously need to get the Penzance staff in this branch to show them hiw it's done. Two previous visits where I have asked for a frostino with cream and coffee to be given what looks just like a slush puppy not as the frostino is delivered on the picture or how any other costa serve it up. Complained to head office. Sent a points card with 600 points on. Today called in thinking there would be improvements a stroppy guy behind the till snapping at the customers patiently waiting as the drive through is closed. Got to my turn I asked for a regular salted caramel frostino with cream and coffee. He said what is that I don't know if we do it so I said again a frostino he must have misheard me the first time so then he starts flouncing his shoulders about going well what size small medium large I said just a regula. He says we don't do a regular small medium or large and it's coffee in it so why are you asking. His attitude stank so I said don't bother he said why why is that I walked out. Area manager you seriously need to train the staff up with ettwr customer service. I'll make the trip to Penzance as it appears its the best staff costa has that deliver what you pay for!

We used the drive thru and ordered 4 drinks. When we got to the payment window we were told that he had forgotten to log our order and to park in the waiting baysOther cars came out with their drinks but still we waited eventually someone came to tell us they had no lemonade for one of the drinks. No other appology when I questioned why ours was taking so longEventually drinks arrived cold strawberry tea was served piping hot and again no sorry for they serviceCosta is not the cheapest and should therefore provide a much better customer experience than this it was as if we have your money so tough luck.Tony.Shelley.Sky & Tom

Cheap coffee not that good. I really can do better at home!

I used to be a loyal customer and was so glad they were part of the Public Restroom scheme for the town as there are not many places available. I have an invisible illness that requires me to sometimes need to access a toilet QUICKLY, and being in the middle of town it was a perfect place. Now it's closed to the public and that's very disappointing - I can't afford to buy an expensive drink every time I have to rush to the restroom, and it's a shame that the accessibility for people like me is limited as more and more places close down public access to restrooms.

Well what can I say.... don’t go. If you want to be abused by the staff for asking them to double cup the drink... this is the place to be.I have NEVER had treatment like this. All I asked them for was either to double cup or a cup sleeve as I find them rather hot to hold. I got the whole story why they are not allowed to do this. Also they would loose there jobs. After 2-3mins of listening to this from the young gentleman & his female colleague we decided to leave. I thanked them. On leaving he shouted out.... ‘buy & dont come back’. Needless to say we will not be going back ever again.Ai have my own business & pride use on our customer service. To be spoken too & treated this way just shocked me.Neither of them really wanted to help. It was all beyond belief & I would not have them working for me. Costa really needs to get some training sorted out over there.Good luck with that one.

Great coffee, good service as usual.

Coffee served well and pleasant staff. However, it was quite cold. The overhead air conditioner was set to low and therefore did not enjoy what should have been a cosy chat with my friend.

Not a bad Costa, easy to get to, in a cool old building. Foods the usual Costa standard, staff seem nice. Doesn't have to be that busy though and your waiting a while for drinks but I think this is standard for this type of establishment.

Sometimes the coffee is good, and the service is friendly, other times the service is poor and the coffee is miserable! I watched barista dump milk in cup and then chuck watery espresso on top, this is not how to make a latte, it tasted like dirt! Made coffee deprived me very sad! Think maybe some staff need retraining ...

Very clean, friendly staff as always. Spoke at length with Lydia who is in charge of all 5 franchises and unlike a lot of managers seemed interested in customer feedback. If you want a coffee with a singing branch manager then this is the place to go

Fairly well kept Costa with a good amount of space for seating. Wheelchair and buggy access at the back which is always good. Lighting flickers and can give you headache if you stay inside for too long.

Coffee could have been hotter,and a full cup would be good,as it's not cheap,also ordered a teacake which they forgot about,so had to go and ask for it.
