The best restaurants in Christchurch South West

Will never eat from here again. Food was delivered an hour before the time chosen on the online ordering. The food was horrible, tasteless, small portion, chewy meat. Inedible so went in the bin. Contacted the restaurant but owner was unfriendly and didn’t offer an apology or a refund. Manners cost nothing

Not sure how I’ve managed the last few months during the impromptu shut down of the coffee shop. I work nearby and send all my clients here for the best coffee and service in a clean and inviting atmosphere. I also use the cafe daily for my lunch time coffee and occasionally lunch or a snack; sometimes with friends or colleagues. All the staff in Waitrose Christchurch are wonderful but particularly Graham makes my day with his warm welcome, unrushed but efficient service and gorgeous soya lattes. The average age of resident in xchurch is 65 and it should not come as a surprise that any supermarket offering cafe services is a particular draw to our residents. Please don’t close down again!

Fuimos para el almuerzo de domingo y tenía al asador. Nos quedamos muy decepcionados con la calidad de la comida en nuestra última visita. Había variedad muy limitada de verduras y hortalizas que había, estaban cubiertas en una salsa de crema fuerte de degustación.

Popped in to try the food as it looked like a busy venue. The food was fantastic and the staff and locals were very welcoming and friendly! Would recommend this place highly. Very nice to sit outside and watch the world go by in the summer.

Waited 20 minutes to get a coffee....and the queue was only 8 people when I joined! Only one person serving. Friendly enough and doing his best....surely one more serving would be possible?!...and lead to a lot more business. Ridiculous!

Very poor service and staff Dirty cutlery, rude and unfriendly staff My elderly sister has a speech impediment due to cancer and the young long haired girl on the counter raised her eyebrows and was extremely rude and unhelpful when ordering coffees and food Definitely would not return, much better places to attend in this area

Absolutely lovely independent pub, friendly staff & amazing food. We’ve only ever had a drink here in the past, but we are so pleased we decided to have a meal. We had a variety of dishes, scotch egg, fish cakes, chicken burger, wings & seafood platter. All of which tasted fresh & delicious. We all felt it was the finest pub lunch we have eaten. We will definitely be visiting here again. Ps the manageress should be added to the paintings.

Usually good food. Need to check your orders though. Chips are usually old

Had a breakfast sub....bread was odd...poached egg was nasty....no deals....Latte was about 100 degrees....no brown sauce.Not good

Very hit and miss with the food here. Either really tasty and have the expected cheese, or is dry with hardly any cheese. Even think we had a cheddar cheese pizza and no mozzarella the other day and even then, all the contents was stuck to the top of the box. In the same order the potato tots hadn't been cooked properly. We order regularly but starting to get put off as too hit and miss with quality. Which is a shame as this was our favourite pizza place

Genuine and very friendly. Worth visiting for their warm hospitality but the food is good too. Thank-you for the delicious pasty.

Awful food and overpriced. Visited yesterday with my wife and kids. Quoted 15 min wait - stood at the hatch waiting for 40 minutes before the food finally turned up. The haddock was virtually non existent inside a mass of a very hard, overcooked batter. And of what little fish I could find it was dry as a bone. Came away feeling hungry and ripped off. Not worth the visit.

Ordered a once a month treat, food was awful unless you like eating raw white pepper, and god forbid you complain you will be condescended too, because you don’t know what your talking about, awful food not matching menu worse customer service I put three dishes in the bin after one taste, big waste of money

Refuses to take back Argos items. I was confronted by angry manager called Tom that screws up his nose when you wish to complain ...

Went to Costa to get a coffee for me and my partner through the drive through. Sat in the queue for about 5 minutes until we got to the speaker to order we sat there for several minutes and no one said anything so we continued on to the window. At the window the girl serving said that we didn’t order at the speaker so would have to go back round. So after waiting for 10 minutes in total to be told that we left. Won’t be going back through there.
