Ordered a couple of pizzas and sides. Pizzas were good, garlic bread was not the best, assume the delivery took longer than expected as from slicing and checking it (on the tracker) it took over 45 mins to reach us, sounds like Urber driver never turned up so was delivered via papa Johns delivery driver.

I ordered the wrong thing so called the restaurant as soon as the order went through. I was welcomed by a very short, obstructive man that said my pizza had already been made (called a minute after I ordered...) and said (quite proudly) that I couldn't do anything at all. The second guy I spoke to was ok but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Pretty disgusted with the way the first guy seemed to not care at all and almost took pleasure in being unhelpful and combative. I decided to leave the pizza and side for them to eat and didn't even want my money back, just won't go back here again, avoid this place as there are many, much nicer places to go.

Ordered BBq Chicken pizza, got no chicken or sauce

I am an American living in the UK over 20 years who was also a customer growing up in the US and have never been so disappointed with a Papa Johns order. The actual pizzas from Papa Johns 176-178 Barrack Road in Christchurch both arrived very dry with all the base sauce fully absorbed into the base (not enough sauce) and room temperature at best definitely not hot. Had these pizzas been prepared from scratch and delivered within 20 mins of ordering online? I felt very doubtful. If they were then there is a serious quality control issue at this location and head office should urgently implement monitoring and improvement measures. Even with the deal, two pizzas at £20 felt like a complete rip off as pizzas from my local Co-op are better than what was delivered last night! In the end, I added pasta sauce on top of the remaining slices and heated them up in my oven for 10 mins to help make them edible.

Unproofed dough, straight out the fridge, hardly any sauce, very scarce toppings, hardly any cheese, was not an enjoyable pizza eating experience. I’m very surprised for papa johns as our previous experience of ordering papa johns in Uxbridge, London was always perfect, deep pan and amazing, sad to say this was papa johns at its worse in Christchurch!

I want to why you can't train your staff to turn off the delivery app machine when you close. Last night I ordered food from you and waited, nothing for over an hour, and then a message to say the order had been cancelled - I had ordered very late and you were probably closed. This might sound like a trivial complaint but you charge over £20 for a pizza that costs you less than a £1 to make. It is not only disrespectful and contemptuous towards your customers, it's flippant, lazy, and complacent. You guys have made a rather harmless enemy today - at very least you have lost a customer from a store that frankly probably needs the custom!

Ordered 20 pizzas for our school induction day. Process was easy to order over the phone, delivered roughly on time, just a few minutes late and students really enjoyed the pizza and all the dietary requirements were made easy

Hardly any toppings and was stone cold. For a £25 pizza I expect at least some toppings. Absolutely shocking

They delivered two large pizzas from christchurch to hengristbury head, brilliant service, did what had to be done when other places refused.

Poor service, like we were a chore to serve. He went from handling the til to putting the toppings on our pizza. Food was just above average but pricy for what we got. A treat from the mrs as I’d never had a papa johns before. Wont be rushing back to this one when we’re down seeing the mother in law again.

Unfortunately, our ordered pizzas, which amounted to over £50, did not arrive as expected. Upon reporting the issue, I was initially assured by the customer support representative that a refund or a replacement order would be arranged for a later time. However, after waiting patiently for a month, I decided to contact Just Eat again to schedule the replacement order. To my dismay, the representative I spoke with this time refused to fulfill their earlier promise and declined to provide me with the name of the person I was speaking to. This entire situation has left me incredibly disappointed and frustrated. Not only did our initial order go unfulfilled, but the lack of accountability and failure to follow through on promises made by Just Eat's customer service team has only added to my dissatisfaction. I hope that Just Eat can rectify this situation promptly and provide a satisfactory resolution. As a loyal customer, I believe it is essential for the company to uphold its commitment to quality service and customer satisfaction.

My first order from Papa Johns and I’ll definitely be ordering again! I ordered the Garden Party pizza with chicken wings on the side and it was lovely. It arrived 50 minutes after ordering and was hot. The kind delivery driver even rescued my indoor cat when he dashed out the front door! A good meal, thoroughly enjoyed.

I'm not ordering from here again I severely injured my ankle earlier on in the week and it has been nicely healing and because the driver couldn't be bothered to check If the doors downstairs were unlocked he forced me to go downstairs open those doors I then come back upstairs I've now aggravated an ankle that was healing nicely I'm not ordering from here again He phoned me twice and both times I told him the downstairs doors were unlocked all he had to do was open them he didn't listen. 🤬

Waited over an hour for our 3 pizzas, not enough toppings and pizza very undercooked & stodgy….couldn’t even contact them as they turned the phone off!!! Avoid…..awful!!!

Not great. Long wait, ordered on app. 15min drive then still had to wait another 20 mins.(35 in total) Pizzas (bought 3 different) were ok but found toppings to be quite sparce. They were all meant to be thincrust but were more like medium crust. Overall disappointed.

I tried Papa John's at Butlins in 2014. It was so bad that I never even considered trying them again. 2022 I'm at my mates house in Barrack Road and he says Papa John's is the best. We ordered online about 5 mins before closing time. Best pizza I ever ate. Minus one star as I phoned a few times before and I think they purposely didn't answer due to closing time

Horrendous service, AVOID!! Waited an hour, called up to be told it would be another 40 minutes, no apology and hung up on me when another phone rang. Called back, said we couldn’t wait that long as had 2 hungry boys so he offered a refund which I accepted. Then tried to deliver the pizza 40 minute later, I rejected it as had agreed refund and we had eaten. Didn’t refund me and had to complain via main website and wait 3 weeks for refund. We used Domino’s next time and they were great, will never use Pappa Johns again.

The most appalling service i have ever encountered. I was lied to by the employee on the phone numerous times. Is this store run by functioning adults? Refused to cancel my delivery order even though their systems were at fault. The employee wanted me to come and collect and repay for my order in store after 9.30pm without issuing a refund for the initial order? Completely baffled by their incompetence and it’s questionable how the store is still up and running. Avoid this Christchurch store like the plague.

Papa John’s in Christchurch used to be good. Great deals and super fast delivery. The deals are still good , but the delivery is terrible. I live 10 mins away and our pizzas took 1 hour to deliver and arrived cold. The box was no longer warm to touch and the sauces on the pizza were cold enough to have started to congeal. Will no longer be using them as I’m fed up of having to call each time after 45mins to see when my pizza will arrive. Pizza Hut in Boscombe is further away and still manages to deliver more quickly than Papa John’s.

Absolutely disgusting service. Took our £50 delivery order and over 1.5 hours later still no sign. Called up twice, kept saying shortage of drivers was causing problems. In which case only take collection orders! Never using again.

The delivery was 50 minutes late despite being ordered over 2 hours in advance of the delivery time to avoid this problem. When I rang at 15 mins late, the order clearly hadn't even been started. I was told it would take 10 mins. It took 35. It was cold. Very disappointing. I understand finding delivery drivers and staff is difficult however either don't take orders or ring the customer to let them know it'll be delayed. A £5 off voucher is gratefully received but really this issue should have been avoided. We have used this branch before but this experience probably means we won't use them again for quite some time. There is way too much local competition for this to happen.

Really disappointing. My order was well over an hour last time I ordered so I was given a 5 pound voucher. When I came to use the voucher I couldn't find anywhere on the website to put it in so that was a complete waste of time. When I called them they couldn't help at all. I ordered anyway and my four cheese tater tots came with the most pathetic tiny bit of cheese on them. Won't be ordering again.

Worst Pappa John Pizza ive ever had. Dry hard chewy no topping or cheese and they forgot my drink £50 for 2 pizzas that were worse than a bad dominos for half the price! Ruined our evening

Ordered an extra large pizza online at 7:30PM so we could enjoy a halloween movie with a slice of pizza. Requested the pizza to be delivered ASAP. We had to call up a few times to chase up at what stage our pizza delivery was at as we were not able to track this online (the idea was there but it wasn't working). Employee who answered phone said that they had sent the driver out with multiple orders and could not give a time scale but that the pizza was with the drive at the time we called. At approx. 9:15PM, we called a third time as we still hadn't received our order. The employee stated that there could be a 2 hour delay during busy times but we highlighted that this was not stated on the website because if it had been we would not have used the online platform to make our order. At this stage, we were considering cancelling our online order and reordering on the phone to collect. The employee appeared startled by this and did not know how to respond. Understandably, 2 hours is a very long time to wait for a pizza to be delivered even if they are busy!! Fortunately for Papa Johns Christchurch, the driver had arrived whilst we were on the phone. To top things off, we realised that the extra side we ordered was missing! The pizza was really tasty although a bit too cold for our liking (it had arrived warm!). Overall, this was our first experience ordering from Papa John's and we doubt we will use their service again unless we are going there to collect ourselves. This clearly shows that they were overrun and need more man power to run a smooth service.

A friend ordered me a pizza delivery yesterday it was shocking ,when I opened the box what a disappointment it didn’t look very appealing , arrived cold ... I was unable to eat it , it had such a nasty taste to it .. The meat was all dry & tasteless , as for the cheese on top 🤮🤮🤮🤮. What was the 1 dried up green chilli all about !!!! Never ever again from there .. waste of money 😡

Horrible service! Still waiting for the pizza I ordered more than an hour ago! Already called them and they told me it was on the road... well, clearly not because when they checked my order the staff said oh! like it was forgotten. Hope they’re getting here soon with some apologies at least! 😡

7 phone calls, 2 1/2 hrs waiting, the driver given the wrong address. The (new) duty manager who tried to fob me off with a free side on my next order and then had to phone his boss who was on holiday because he didnt know what to do with a disgruntled customer (he was told not to charge for the order). A driver who then tried to charge me for the order because no one had bothered to communicate with him again! (In this time I had managed to order Chinese, get it delivered and eat half of it) no quality seals on the boxes, so I didn't trust that nothing had been done to the food and surprise, surprise, it was practically cold! Don't trust them and don't waste your time ordering

Ordered £18.99 worth of food - Large pizza, cheesy garlic sticks and chicken. Chicken was good, cheesy garlic sticks were dry and didn’t taste of much. Large pizza was practically cremated, I phoned and requested another to which they delivered quite promptly.

Really poor. The vegan sausage pizza had very little vegan sausage and was absolutely doused in mustard. Partner was also disappointed with her Greek pizza. Really not very good at all.

When you place an order of £35 for two pizza's (that's with %25 discount) on a Tuesday evening you expect it to arrive in a little less than 1 and a half hours, after waiting this long I phone and am met with unhelpful, disingenuous and quite frankly rude staff who basically say (do you want a refund then) offering no explanation or apology for the ridiculous wait, Rant over but this is certainly the last time I get pizza from papa John's Christchurch, peace out. (Ohh additionally once we got the pizza they messed it up and put marmite crusts in the wrong one which may not be a bit deal to marmite lovers but ohh lord I hate it)

This is my absolute favourite pizza. Lovely fresh tasting dough, toppings flavourful, hot and ready on time. I bought the collection-onl buy one get one free on XXL Original base, Garden Party and The Works. Yummmmmmy!
