Ovens clearly not hot enough or they’re firing pizzas out of the oven to fast. Only just cooked mega doughy. Have had better and much cheaper pizza from the kebab shop!
I had a groupon booking for 11.30am. Arrived and the girl was just opening up, but when we came in, she came rushing and said we're not open until 12. I showed her our booking and she just shrugged, as if to say ' I don't care', we open at 12. End of.
Didn't feel like eating there after that customer " serivce" and I've had my voucher refunded.
Visited around 3pm on 10/08/24 for a coffee and something to eat. Place was fairly quiet, got to the till where another customer was being served so we had time to choose some food. Was met by a female staff member who couldn't look more miserable if she tried, as if we should have been ready to give our order when she was and like we were a hindrance to her. No hello, no smile just looked like she couldn't be bothered. Ordered two frappes, no question as to whether this was for eat in or takeaway or with coffee. No receipt given just took payment and walked away.
I've worked in customer service myself for many years and would recommend this young lady have some retraining and at the very least, some reminders on how to be polite. Couldn't get her name as she was the only staff member not wearing a name badge but she did have her hair in a long plait.
Very disappointed with such slow service. I don’t like to complain but on this occasion I felt there were either not enough staff or staff who had not been trained properly so the queue for drinks was so slow I felt like giving up.
Then the cutlery had not been replenished and there were no knives.
There is a limited choice of eats here - waffles as the title suggests. We just had coffee. My Americano was disappointing - it tasted like hot water and there was no real coffee strength to it. My friends had an Americano and a straight coffee, the latter being fine. It's new and a great place to sit out but there is nothing else that I could really recommend. We are awash with coffee shops and eateries and I think better can be had elsewhere.
Almost given up finding a place to eat around 2.00 pm Saturday, as town was very busy, but on the way home saw the Eden Polish restaurant was open, so went in to give it a try. Had to explain what drinks we wanted, but the meal was OK and home made.
My wife had a large pork chop in batter with potatoes and salad and I had a goulash wrapped in pancake with salad. The portions were massive and we were able to takeaway more than half to eat the rest at home next day.
Your favourite restaurant critique is back and has found a new restaurant to review. We opted for the buffet, and I was very impressed at the amount of fresh salad and mixed vegetable mayo salad offered on the counter. Sadly the overall choices for a buffet were very limited with no "starters" and no veggie choice for main course. A rather strange selection of items were on offer and it wasn't apparent what went with what! Although the breaded banana pieces were heavenly with the fried chicken. The beef was fairly tender but bland with no sauce, whilst the chicken had a delicate flavour and was nicely cooked. Neither of us eat pork so cannot comment on that one! The lasagne was creamy with a delightful flavour and was our favourite overall. Sides were limited to green beans, chips or rice and there were some other type of beans in a watery gravy which to be honest didn't look very appetising! There were some interesting accompaniments on offer and I particularly liked the tasty "crumbs", although I'm not sure what they went with! All the hot food could have been much, much hotter! Hot plates would have helped too, and the restaurant was not overly warm! No dessert was included in the price. Overall rather disappointing.

the staff are niced, the pizza have a lot of toppings and definitely worth 5p, the chips is close to perfect if its less salty, i hope they can allow customers to choose non spicy burgers and kebabs
overall its worth a try and ill be returning soon
