The best restaurants serving Italian food in Cheltenham South West

We so hope this delightful couple survive in the very competitive sphere of Cheltenham eateries. They more than deserve their place in the list of "must go to" restaurants. It's not a see and be seen place, but if you love good Italian cooking, you will be happy to find this place.

I'm ordering from them regularly and that's the only place that never fails me through years!! In delivery most important aspects for me is food being hot and fresh from proper pizza and past is always a case!! Sometimes asking them to add more chillies for example and is always there👌 Me favourite is taco fries 😋 if someone like kind of loaded fries. That's must try.. highly recommended. Keep doing good job proper pizza and pasta

Been twice now and both times the whole experience has been enjoyable. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!

We had lunch here yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Choose The Big Salad! We did. Highly recommended. Good food, friendly staff, and very good value.

We visit Cheltenham every year but this was our first time at Primavera. We then learned that friends had reserved a table there for the four of us for a few nights later. We were more than happy to return for a second go! The food is excellent, not overfacing, and beautifully cooked. A short and entirely Italian wine list, which was a refreshing change from the norm. We only ate in the downstairs room, so can’t speak for upstairs, but the restaurant was clean and fresh, and well presented. Ana was a perfect balance of friendly but professional. Finally, we felt it was extremely good value for money. We will definitely return here next time we are in Cheltenham.

Amazing experience, super friendly and knowledgeable about the many wines we ordered. Food was delicious! Will definitely be returning.

A very authentic and relaxing atmosphere in the restaurant and Gianni’s is easily the best Italian food I have experienced. The mushroom risotto is amazing and my husband was very happy with his steak! My son loves to come here for his birthday especially and we were looked after very well by the very attentive staff. This is our third time here as a family and we definitely will be back again and again! 😊

I eat here very often - never had a bad meal since it opened. My last visit pork schnitzel with spaghetti was delicious. Service always spot on by friendly helpful servers and a real buzz which is a joy

Charlotte was a brilliant waitress. She was excellent and also made my young daughter and I feel very welcome and looked after, giving us a lovely little lunch time together- thanks Charlotte! Ask - you need more like her! Xx

Awful pizza. Always drive past and see it full of people. Tonight got a collection (the restaurant was again full), and the pizza is probably the worst I’ve eaten in the uk. Will never return. Dry, bland, and expensive. May as well get one from the supermarket. Had decent pizza abroad but it’s been a while in the uk since I’ve eaten a great pizza. Why can’t the uk make a decent pizza? They are either a salty mess (domino’s, papa johns) or like these - dry, bland and the dough is awful.

Absolutely great day at Prezzo brewery. The food was lush the drinks delicious and the staff were amazing. Olivia, jack and shek were honestly the best members of staff. So kind, made great recommendations and very attentive.

We arrived and were promptly shown to our table , two groups came after us and were served before us . We wait twenty minutes to have a waiter come over , and when asked to order my pizza I was told no no I do drinks first , he then took a further ten minutes to bring our drinks and didn’t stay to take our food Order. I’m celiac so I ask for a gf menu they then told me they had an allergen folder that they couldn’t find . When the waiter eventually came for our food order he told me they had run out of a few ingredients so I needed to order something else . He was very pushy for me to order his recommendation, which I asked if it was definitely gf he told me it was . It took a further 20 mins for our food to arrive , when I want to pay I was told I could only pay the waiter who severed me he took ten minutes after I asked to pay to come over so I could pay . I love pizza express but the service is slow and unacceptable we won’t be returning
