I was here with a big family group, with a range of ages and various dietary restrictions. We’d needed to preorder, but this wasn’t a problem. Once we were here, the service was great and people enjoyed their food. The process whereby different groups could pay for what they had chosen was very efficient.

One star for nice food, but the service from Radin was so poor, he was sharp and short with us, which we found rude. Also we waited for 45 mins for starters then another 30 mins for a margarita pizza. I’m convinced our order must have been forgotten, as it wasn’t that busy and there were 5 chefs working. Unfortunately wouldn’t recommend.

I was with my partner at your place for the first time. Cannelloni so good and Lasagne that I'm afraid I won't eat such in Italy (and I'll be there in 3 weeks). We were served by a gentleman of Czech nationality, very nice, helpful, funny who creates a great atmosphere for all guests. Great respect for him! He should be appreciated very much! We had table no. 29. A big minus for that. Guests come in, wait for service and practically stand over the heads of the guests at this table. They don't close the door and it blows straight at the people sitting at this table 🤦 He shouldn't be in this place. 9 people came in who were waiting to check the reservation and had their butts over my table. This is unacceptable, discomfort - to be changed - my suggestion to the manager if he respects the opinion of the guests. If not, I will know about it when I come again, and I intend to because I want to be your guest after today's nice impressions. Greetings to the cook who made our dish today (29/11/2024 at 6 p.m.) - outstanding, thank you. Thank you very much.

Food was cold like it had been kept in a fridge. probably the worst pizza I've ever ordered

Being the first time visiting Cheltenham we were fairly hungry and fancied a pizza and thought we would give this place a try. It was fairly quiet but that didn’t bother us as we were happy to get a table without having to wait around. The waiter was very friendly and polite which is always nice. We went for the family deal which consisted of a starter, 2 large pizzas and 2 sides for £53. The food was fresh & tasty and came out very quickly. The margarita pizzas are always a favorite as are the dough balls. The mac & cheese was also very good. With drinks our total bill came to £67 which I thought was good value. Having been to Pizza Express before in other cities this was a good experience and I would be happy to return.

I'm so impressed with this particular Pizza Express restaurant. We've dined in and taken away now and every time it has been excellent. Romana Padana is my favourite.

This is a review for pizza express and just eat, NOT the driver - the food has clearly been sat there for an hour. I know because it is stale and cold, and I screenshotted my order status every 5 minutes. My order took over an hour + is inedible

The delivery driver was genuinely one of the nicest people ever. Despite how far he had to travel, he was polite, kind and genuine! Helped me put my food into my bag as I have a walking stick. Make sure he knows I appreciate his service!

The delivery time just kept moving back. Food was really cold. Calamari was soggy. Pizza covered in pepper. Won't be ordering again unfortunately

Pizza was as basic as a frozen one, and the pasta made me sick for days.

I popped in for a team work lunch with colleagues. Excellent food and service. They have a lunchtime offer available for buy one pizza get the second for £1. The total bill was around £13 per person including drinks. Very reasonable.

Had a fantastic meal in there today, the food was excellent and the service was first class. It was super busy but a wonderful chap called Aaron was in full control of everything, he was multi tasking on numerous levels and he kept an extremely busy restaurant very very happy. Will definitely be coming back and recommending to friends too….

We are regular customer of Pizza Hut and we really love the taste of pizzas and hospitality of the staff is amazing and really love the taste of pancrust pizza

Had two poor experiences here. First time, waiter simply forgot to enter the order into the system. He claimed it was a “system error”. We were waiting for ages before he looked over sheepishly and realised his mistake. When the food finally came, the starters were missing and I had to go up and ask again. The food was also not up to the standard I expect, the dough balls were overcooked, and somehow even the garlic butter wasn’t great. The next time we came was a weekend and we were again waiting a long time for food. This time, the waiter placed all the kids in the restaurant around us, so we were completely surrounded, he could have put us in a quiet corner at least, as we were one of the only couples in there!! It was a poor experience, and made it difficult to enjoy.

Had a booking for dinner (before the theatre). When we arrived the restaurant was very quiet and there were 2 visible members of staff (not including kitchen staff. We were kept waiting to book in longer than is acceptable, especially as there were so few customers. We were shown to our table and given menus. After 20 minutes nobody had been to ask if we wanted drinks or take our order so we had to find a member of staff who then then took our order. Half an hour later our starters finally arrived. Our main courses then took another 15 minutes to arrive. The food was pleasant enough but the service was really slow. (On our previous visit the service wasn’t great but we thought maybe it was a one off, but sadly not). There was then a staff changeover and when we explained that as we had theatre tickets we didn’t have time for dessert or coffee due to the very slow service we’d had, we were given a discount on our bill. We won’t be returning as the service is not what it should be and there are plenty of other restaurants to try in the area.

We had a lovely pizza here and found the food excellent but what made it exceptional was the service we received from the serving staff, particularly our waitress Mary. They were so friendly and helpful…….it made all the difference. We would certainly go back!

came here on Friday. Very short staffed. But couldn’t fault Mary. Mary was running around the whole place doing everything on her own. She was truly a diamond. Is she the manager or is someone else? Cus that girl needs recognition for the work she is putting in!

Very poor service, walked in without a booking and it was only the two of us. We was seated promptly however we was left waiting 20 minutes without even a simple acknowledgement that our server would be with us shortly. This was promptly followed by a table of 5 walking in and getting served immediately. Very disappointed.

I don't often leave reviews but the service here was so slow that I felt I had to. It took them an hour to cook a pizza and two pasta dishes. The food was just fine when it came out but by then we were late to our next stop of the evening. Not worth the wait. Perhaps they were short of staff, but it was not busy, and even so it's still on management to ensure they can't get into this situation in the first place. Not recommended.

Service is shocking!!! We arrived at 6:45 and thought we would have ample time to be finished by 8pm when we were meeting some friends. It was a table of 3 and a fairly quiet restaurant. Once they finally came over to take our order, we said that we are ready for food and drinks and they replied saying they would come back to take a food order in a couple of minutes. I thought this was fairly strange as I’ve often ordered food with drinks in restaurants. When we finally ordered food, we ordered 2 pollo pesto dishes and an American hot pizza. We didn’t expect it would take very long as it seemed quite a simple order. However we were served at 7:55pm and during this time overheard a waitress asking how long our food would be and the chefs said 10 minutes this was a 7:40. This was not passed on to us and had we not overheard, we wouldn’t have known. It is very disappointing and I think the service from all staff could have been better.

If I could give 0 I would, my daughter went there for her 18 birthday with friends. After paying they were about to leave, only for waiter saying that there was still £18 to pay, they were all confused because they all paid and even the man was confused why it was, but didn't bother to find out why, so after 5 minutes my daughter decided to pay because they wanted to leave, so she paid twice. I emailed 2 different email addresses and still no reply.

We went for lunch, family of four. First of all I do want to commend the waiters - two for 11 tables were working flat out, doing their best of a bad situation. I felt sorry for them as they were woefully understaffed, and the food in general was not only slow but also bad. No longer a taste of an authentic pizza as the founder had wanted when he started the chain back in the 60s, the franchise has now become yet another bland tasting, generic Italian fused with western cuisine offering, and no longer stands out. Pizza was terrible. One overcooked, the other undercooked. Too much cheese, made it resemble an American pizza - which is fine if that’s what you like, but not what pizza express used to be about. And then whole experience took ages. When pizza express opened up decades ago on the corner of the promenade and imperial square, it was special. Manager and staff were passionate about what the establishment represented, it was cosy and welcoming, and they made it as personal as possible. Such a shame it closed down and moved. The new one, clearly with new franchise behind it and lower quality food, menu and understaffed, leaves much to be desired. Would not recommend.

Food is lovely, atmosphere nice sitting outside, but the thing that cinched it was the service. Millie was our server and she was utterly fabulous, I watched her buzzing around dealing with not only us but everyone else with efficiency and a smile - definitely keep hold of her - she is a gem! She apologised a lot for the wait but we loved that there was a little delay so we could enjoy our food and date night - thank you!!

We came in and were immediately greeted by the wonderful Mary. She accompanied us not only to our table but throughout the entire evening. We were impressed by her friendly and open manner, which made us happily order a second beer🍺. We have rarely been served so well! The three Swiss guys.

Ordered dough balls. - they come out small and cold! Simple margarita on a romana base - 1st one comes out undercooked. Second pizza - way way too much cheeze…… I didn’t eat it. Then they expect you to pay for everything!!! Place is a joke - say clear and stick to the ones in London as they have a standard.

We ordered Bbq Romano chicken pizza and Bbq burnt ends was served to us. The,waiter only heard bbq it seems So then the original order was reordered. Sadly no sign of any bbq sauce except on the edges at which point we paid for our drinks and gave up never to return. At the prices they charge we'd have been better buying a supermarket version. Come on Pizza express. If this is your speciality get it right. Not a happy experience

I waited two hours! for the order and then went to go and collect it myself. the pizzas were stone cold and the delivery person charged me for the delivery even though they never came.

Staff are nice, but for nearly £16 for a lasagne that comes with nothing its just not worth it. Then more than £5 for salad or coleslaw. The food is very average and really not worth the price.

Service was good and food was nice. I feel like the pizzas were a little smaller than other restaurants for the same price, and despite getting the classic ‘thicker base’ it was extremely thin in the middle (genuinely almost not there). Ingredients all tasted fresh though and I enjoyed it overall.

I was incredibly disappointed to receive a VEGETARIAN pizza with chicken on it. On contacting the restaurant I was informed there was nothing they could do, and I would have to contact just eat for a refund and to then reorder. I am now very hungry and VERY disappointed.

The original estimation was 45 mins, It arrived over 2 hours after order. The delivery driver had to wait at the restaurant for over 20 mins himself so have no issues with driver, just restaurant.

We went to this Pizza Express on Easter Sunday as we thought it would be quiet. And it was! There were about 4 tables of people. We had no issues with the food, although I would ideally like more filling inside the calzone. For the al forno dough balls, I feel that a dip is required. The cheese on the dough balls is good, but a tomato dip would be great. We had a bottle of malbec and a peroni, they were good as expected. We went with our 2 year old son and they were very accommodating. He had a coloured book and they have a decent kids menu. I think it's a decent place for families.

Cold pizza, uncut, £40 for 1 pizza, a handful of doughballs and something in a tub that I didnt even realiseI ordered (I swear I ordered pollo pesto pasta, but apparently not?) I guess my fault, but very disappointed.

Relatively okay experience. Service was nice, but food took some time to come out. I also was disappointed how soggy the dough was on my pizza, and my Caesar salad was mediocre. Dough balls were surprisingly good.

Relaxed, informal dining room with a good atmosphere unfortunately spoilt by an aggressive, unhelpful Manager - Dimitar. Food was not up to standard and on returning, we were told ‘we were wrong’. Waiters couldn’t be more helpful, but sadly cannot recommend due to behaviour of Manager who was very threatening.

We were squeezed in on a busy Friday night, we were sat down straight away. The wait was expected on a busy night, but I must make a point of one particular waitress who seemed to be going above and beyond for a big portion of the restaurant. I wish I could have made an effort to catch her name. She really deserved a medal. Apart from that, food was faultless & absolutely gorgeous.

Nothing wrong with the food. It was enjoyable but the prices were shocking. Just over £20 for a slab of pizza bread and a small bottle of golden ale. And to add insult to injury there was a 12 percent service charge on top of that because there were more than 7 of us when some places give a discount for a party of people. Was told the reason is so to cover themselves if no one pays a tip. Disgusting. We should not be dictated to pay tips and how much we should give. It should be optional. Most people usually give tips anyway. I won't be setting foot in here again. Total rip off

Great meal and fantastic delivery driver

Got a take away. Pizza was horrendous. Minimal toppings (4 olives for the entire pizza) with hardly any sauce. It was incredibly dry. The order took 68 minutes to arrive and was freezing cold. Had to put it into the oven to reheat which you shouldn’t need to do when spending £54. Shocking service when called to notify the restaurant…nothing they could do apparently as the order was place through Just Eat. What’s happened to just being a decent human being and helping sort out some warm food or discount/refund.

Food is a fairly standard what you'd expect from Pizza Express -- I have a favourite order and they pulled it off. Service was quicker then expected given it was rammed when we went in. Waiters are friendly, and were willing to put up with us faffing about with Tesco vouchers!

Don't normally complain but all my food was cold! The driver seemed to be at the restaurant for like 15mins according to the map and the time kept updating later, So technically he was on Time but it was nearly 20 mins past the original time. Either way food was all cold once it arrived

last week I was craving a pizza and I remembered this place opened quite recently, so I convinced my friend to come along with me. I ordered a margarita pizza and she ordered an American pizza. It came with 15 minutes, and the staff were very friendly – ended up buying a takeaway pizza just yesterday because of how nice it was.

Pizza was delivered cold, because driver was too lazy to go back to his car and drive around to the next street, our street, as he couldnt find us. Instead he went back to his car, took out our of bag and out of car our food and walked back to us in freezing condition outside. initially placed order at 5:38pm, first delivery time was 6:35-6:55pm and then i heard nothing for about an hour, just “waiting for update” until it said it would arrive between 8:10-8:30pm then 8:20-8:40pm which then passed and “waiting for update” returned, and finally it said it would arrive between 9:15-9:35pm, i ordered my dinner as i’m working at 4am and wanted to have an early dinner and an early night but my food didn’t arrive until around 9:20pm, i waited over 3.5 hours for my dinner to

My order took over an hour and 20 minutes. The whole time the status was showing as ‘driver assigned’ . Shocking and for the food to be cold as well is an absolute joke. The wait wouldn’t have seem so ridiculous had the food been hot and fresh.

Have had many great experiences in the past, but our last visit wasn't that great. We had an issue with the app, which was taking a while to load our deals because of a bug. We explained this to the manager, who was rude about the issue and said there was nothing she could do. She made an offhand comment about this being caused by an extra person joined our table (it wasn't). We had another similar app issue a few months ago, and the manager working at that time was fantastic in sorting it out. The waiters here are always great, and the food is nice (same as in their other restaurants). As long as you can put up with the app being buggy at times, the deals make the food very affordable. Shame about the occasional rude manager.

After enjoying Sister Act at the everyman theatre we went for a meal in Pizza Express. We had two legerras and two salads, all excellent and well priced. It is a smart restaurant surrounded by lots of other nice restaurants. A lovely occasion with my twin brother and his wife.

Very disappointed. Friendly waiter though. Food took too long to arrive especially when it wasn’t busy. Food was bland. The lasagne was very poor. It’s below par food and when you spend over £55 for a child’s meal and 2 adults you expect higher standards. I will be reluctant to eat out as we can cook 👩‍🍳 better food at home and cheaper. It’s no wonder restaurants are struggling when the quality is this poor.

For £17 the salad was disappointingly small. I won't be ordering again. It should be double the size for that price.

Over an hour for a pizza ??? More interested in deliveries than customers in the shop. Only two serving staff it seemed. Pizzas were pretty grim when they eventually arrived !

The food was really good, semi-long wait time but it wasn't long enough to cause problems in the party I was in, and personally, I did not find it an issue. The floor staff were a little slow, and one lady seemed to pick up jobs which others could have done, the floor staff appeared to be young people, I respect pizza express giving these people the opportunity for work, I think they just needed a confidence boost and push in the right direction. The location is convenient, and the environment is nice, typical resturant vibes, nothing extrodinary but nothing unpleasant either. I would recommend for a family and big party.

First time going to the new venue in the brewery restaurant was great and the food was fantastic.

I have been to Pizza Express in Cheltenham several times, and I have never been disappointed😊 I love this restaurant! The interior is so pretty and the food is great. The vegan menu has a fantastic range of options and the staff are also really nice. Thank you for the lovely experience❤️🍕

First time visiting with my family today. we were served by a very polite and helpful waiter . Nothing was too much trouble for us or are not so little one . He provided entertainment for our child and even sorted a child size pizza for him. Food was very delicious, an authentic pizza experience with a modern twist to the flavours! Lots of choices on the menu for all. Food was served in good time and everything was nicely cooked. The tables were nice and clean and the place has a pleasant atmosphere. It was just starting get busier as we left and we could see people enjoying themselves. Definitely will be back when we're next in the area.
