I've been here twice and found it superb both times. It is a genuine Italian cafe. You will be welcomed into the cosy space and fed cheap and delicious and plentiful food. This place really is a gem and I intend to visit every time I'm in Cheltenham.

My partner has had a fancy for Swordfish for a while without much luck finding any...so what a joy to find it on the specials menu at lunchtime ! Even better ... it was cooked perfectly and priced reasonably. Even better... the service was truly friendly attentive and joyous!! This is a delightful cafe. Small and homely with great food and service with a heartfelt smile. We loved it !!! Thank you

Superb…. Such a friendly welcome with fantastic food….. never disappointed. I’m really quite fussy on where we eat as a family. The variety of food is all superbly cooked. Fantastic coffee ( and I’m not a big coffee drinker) but always have it here. Lasagna was so tasty my husband had the monkfish which looked delicious. Great for families who will receive the warmest of welcomes from a lovely Italian family. So handy in the centre of Cheltenham for respite from Christmas shopping. You know it’s good when you see regular customers…..

The serve was friendly and welcoming but the food and presentation of food was dire. The outer parts of the salmon had changed colour - shouldn’t have been on the menu if you only had out of date salmon. The decor is very dated and cheap. The condiments were cheap and the bathroom was disgusting. There was even toilet water sloshed about from the toilet brush. Shocked by the glowing rating but feel this is down to loyal customers as it’s more of a truckers cafe as opposed to fine dining.

Welcoming and authentic. I try to call in for a coffee and pastry when I’m in town. Always delightful. Home made and tasty.

Having read such wonderful reviews we decided to have lunch here while on a day trip. I used to live in Cheltenham and can't believe we didn't try this place while there; an absolute gem! The breakfasts (full English and veggie version) were delicious, good value for money, and served with a smile. Next time we're in Cheltenham we'll be sure to stop by and try something else! Regular visitor to Cheltenham, always difficult to find reasonable good food, this place excels on all my expectations, reasonably priced, home cooked food, good wine and excellent service.

We had a lovely Saturday lunch and then Sunday breakfast experience here this weekend. I got the insalata caprino for lunch and it was FANTASTIC for the price of less than £10. Huge, nice big round of goat cheese with some cranberry jam, tons of greens and fresh tomatoes. I ate it all; a salad of this size would easily be £13-£15 in London. My husband had a burger and wasn’t as impressed but he is very picky. LOVE this place is dog-friendly. The Sicilian proprietor is friendly and very kind with Miguel, our dog. I had a slice of the pistachio cake for takeaway. It’s not the best I’ve had but decent enough. For Sunday we returned for breakfast. I had a cheese omelette with brown toast and my husband the “pancakes” with sausage and two sunny-side eggs. I was very happy the butter with the toast was soft and about the herbs sprinkled on the omelette. Unfortunately the cheese was bland. My husband liked his breakfast enough (although they are crepes and not American-style pancakes so be forewarned). He raved on the coffee though. So overall we were happy and would return in the area. Friendly staff, decent food. And dog-friendly! And excellent prices for the portions. Grazie Mille.

Fresh pasta cooked daily. And if you call ahead, they’ll make fresh gluten free past as well. All the ingredients are fresh and taste incredible! Their freshly baked cannoli’s come in chocolate, lemon and pistachio and they are just so darn good! Honestly my favourite place to go if ever friends come to visit.

Don’t often write reviews but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed my eggs Benedict at lunchtime today… the hollondaise sauce was best I’ve had in a long time with perfect bacon. My husband had a bacon ciabbatta which he said was delicious. Such a fantastic menu and lovely lattes. The service was very friendly and outstanding… we will definitely be back.

I have eaten here once before with my sister and had a delicious salad. Yesterday I tied the chicken & halloumi burger. Soft tasty bread. Lots of filling and chillis. Salad on plate and fat chips. All for £8.95. I think that’s the top price for any thing on the menu and it’s all delicious. It’s not a chain so everything is made by them. Very attentive service and very polite. Other customers were talking to each other saying she visited all the time and what lovely food it was. It’s so tiny you could walk by & miss it. Next time you see the lime green tables & chairs outside walk in not walk on by. Thank you xxxx

Always thought this was a sandwich take out place and I have never visited before. On the ay to the cinema and a friend recommended we pop in forr lunch. The food was incredible and very reasonably priced. It all tasted delicious and was well presented. I will certainly be coming back

Visited there today. My partner was happy with her salad and the fries weren’t too bad. Latte was quite good. Staff friendly and polite. I ordered a calzone. I had one in Stratford upon Avon last week and it was not particularly good. I think Boris has scared the Italian chefs away. What I received was appalling, far worst than last weeks. Pizza dough on a plate with hardly any filling and dry. I have eaten tastier ham and cheese sandwiches on an airplane! I complained but no joy. Won’t be eating there again.

Dado que tengo 63 años y he pasado mucho tiempo en Italia, este fue, con mucho, el mejor boloñesa con espaguetis que he probado nunca, no era mi intención comerlo todo, sino que tenía que hacerlo, era TAN bueno. Todos los demás también pensaron que su comida era fantástica. El servicio no podría haber sido mejor y el valor fue increíble, incluso si aumentaran sus precios en un 50%, seguiría siendo el caso. Merecen hacerlo muy bien y no podemos esperar a volver.

Great place - centrally located, serving excellent coffee and breakfast with superb service. This is the fourth or fifth time we have eaten here, and felt I had to post a positive review, as they deserve to do well.

Good coffee and not too expensive with friendly staff you can't go wrong. Surrounded by shops just off the High Street, perfect location in the town.

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant on a number of occasions and always enjoy the food and the friendliness of the staff. The owner always has his finger on the pulse and we have known him for many years.

The food here is good, but the customer service needs improving. We felt very rushed, no time to sit and relax and, worst of all, the waitress leaned across my friend who was still eating her meal in order to start clearing the table!

We've been here a few times and it just never disappoints - which is why you can see it has a strong, loyal customer base right in the heart of Cheltenham. The staff are Italian, so they know how to cook and they know how to serve food and they know how to treat customers .... and make it all sound like the best fun ever! Do I need to say any more? Their all-day breakfast is just what you need sometimes, and other times perhaps you just want a bacon sandwich? Or coffee and pastries? Or a lunch dish from their daily specials? It really doesn't matter - you'll love all of it!

What a great little find this is, I pop up too Cheltenham too visit my Grandson and his family and what a lovely spot for a sensibly priced Italian cafe, the food was very nice and the owner and waitress tat served us couldn't be more cheerful, Will be popping in too try their cakes next time as I couldn't manage any more on my visit.

I was looking for a breakfast in Cheltenham and found this small cafe, it is Italian but they do a Full English Breakfast. The food was piping hot and freshly cooked with tasty sausages and bacon. Service was prompt.

Open at Seven in the morning all week and at Eight on Sunday, this small, comfortable spotless slice of Italy boasts the best breakfast menu imaginable; my companion had what she always has at home: toast, butter, marmalade and tea. She is not given to praise, but averred that it was excellent. It arrived almost instantly, as did my perfectly scrambled eggs with crispy local smoked bacon and, gluten free toast, with a FABULOUS espresso, immediately followed by another (I bought two packets of the coffee to bring home) and I cannot find enough words to say how excellent this place is. I wish them every possible success; to find such warmth and delight on a wet Sunday morning while the town is still sleeping off Saturday night is worth far more than five stars. Così Comodo!

Found this place by chance whilst strolling around Cheltenham, which we visit a couple of times a year.

Great pasta dishes, a great evening out and can not fault the food, topped off with great service from friendly staff. I’m not Italian expert but I highly enjoyed my visit. Would highly recommend.

Lovely characterful Italian cafe, located on Winchcombe Street, so very central. The coffee & cappuccino are, as you would expect, excellent. English breakfast was good, not great. Same with the haloumi salad - a bit too much sweet tomato sauce stuff on it, tinned olives, lacklustre salad. However, that's our fault for not ordered Italian food, which is what we will do next time! And love the fact that you can sit outside if the weather is kind enough to allow it!

Dolche and Salato has a great rating so we popped in for a quick lunch with high hopes of a tasty bite to eat. To our surprise the cafe was almost empty so our service was good and our order arrived very quickly. Sadly the food was mediocre at best - fish cakes over fried and containing very little fish or other filling and the pasta rather stodgy. We were disappointed by the quality and sadly won't be going back for a second visit.

I visited this restaurant with a friend for lunch and we were both bowled over by the outstanding service and excellent cuisine. we felt that the staff who served at table described the fresh food on offer with such interest that they shared a passion for their cooking - and all at an affordable price!

This deceptively ordinary looking cafe is a hidden gem of a restaurant inside. The food is delicious either from the set menu or a range of specials that offer variety and quality Italian cuisine. Drinks include reasonably priced wines, soft drinks or real Italian coffee to accompany the meal. As a vegetarian nothing is too much trouble to make a vegetarian version from the specials option or a sumptuous salad. A unique range of Italian deserts and pastries will also delight those with a sweet tooth. Apart from excellent food the service is first rate, cooked to order, timely and served with good humour. Why eat anywhere else?

We booked a table in advance for a Sunday lunch it turned out to be not too busy so we may have been ok without booking but as there were six of us it seemed the best plan. It's a fairly small place so if you suspect it's going to be busy I would book. On our party we had a mixture of the 'big salads' and pizzas - all of them were excellent and the balsamic vinegar dressing was 'to die for'! There is a good choice for vegetarians and meat eaters alike and the portions are generous. I think it's good value for money - lunch, dessert, drink and coffee £16. The desserts were amazing especially the profiterole cake. It's unassuming from the street so you might pass this place by but it really is worth a visit!

They have a big selection of tasty food. pasta dishes,meat,fish,salads and plenty more.The owner Salvo is a friendly guy and very professional.
